I lived between wapato and Toppenish, I recall hearing about this story from someone i went to school with

There is a lot of stories about a bar in San Antonio, Texas where couples dancing in the bar would see a person on the dancefloor who had hooves instead of feet, and they knew the devil had come to visit....the old main square downtown was known as, "the devils square", and several terrible events happened there. Having the Alamo slaughter take place in the area didn't help, either. The whole downtown area is haunted beyond belief....

Anyway I wanted to mention to you that what you described sounds just like a Gugwe. A subspecies of Bigfoot. They're said to look like Bigfoot with a canine snout. Supposedly they're a more carnivorous version. And they're called "Face Eaters". Regardless I fully believe you and pray I never have an experience like that.

I'm Yakama Nation that name Spilyay is sahaptin, my language. Translates to trickster/coyote. Anyhow it was terrifying and thank you again! Do you know how to spell the other creature he mentioned [speal-lee-i]? The auto generated closed caption spelled it as 'spelii' but that can't be right either. I've never heard of it so I was trying to Google Native American folklore related to it but I couldn't find any search results because I can't get the correct spelling right. As for the the gugwe I'm glad you mentioned that because I have heard of the sasquatch/dogman hybrid that some have described before but I never knew what people called it so thank you for placing the name for that I'll be sure to learn about that too. I find native folklore fascinating & I like learning as much as I can about Native American history & tradition being that I have Native American ancestry, my great grandmother was a Cherokee woman but unfortunately that side of the family was forced into white integration generations ago & they exclusively became southern Baptists so obviously anything I could've possibly known or learned about my heritage directly from them has been lost.

@@wendigo95 I, don't expect anyone to believe my story, but it was an experience... I've seen bear before. Grew up w my dad whom worked for wildlife w my tribe. I'm familiar with all the wildlife that is indigenous to that area. Grew up hunting and trapping and fishing with my father. This was not a bear. I've smelled them before. My dad live trapped them when they'd come to close to populated areas. And relocate them, I'd help him.

It's a humanoid bipedal creature eith the head of a coyote. Referred to as a trickster. And I've heard they mess with people and are generally avoided by my tribe.
