As a wrestler I'm now a LOT more confident with girls as I can just suplex her the second she rejects me

I’m a freshman and I started wrestling this year. All but one of my team mates beats me easily in practice. I get really confused about what to do during live wrestling so I just feel like a wet noodle. I hope that there’s other wrestlers like me going through this who have advice for me.

My lil bro In the same boat went 0-9 but won his first match against a girl lol. Keep grinding wrestling weeds out the soft souls and pays the ones who stick with it.

I would recommend going to a really good well known tournament with tough kids. Even if you go 0-2 stay for finals and record and amylase your weight class match, it helped me soooo much, or if you can’t find a tournament like that look on YT

Ik I’m commenting a year late, but just think about it this way. Even if you loose against other wrestlers in wrestling, just think about the fact that just practicing and learning wrestling alone, along with good exercising makes you tougher then the vast majority of regular people who don’t train in a combat sport / martial art at all.

Im 38 years old and just started wrestling after 8 years of BJJ. I feel like this really relates to me.

Thanks for your excellent posts. You give me a new insight to the sport of Wrestling. I like the fact you 1. Don't look at me but 2. You address a camera to your right, so, I have a sense there's another person who's there, who's sharing the conversation...it's an easier conversational 'lecture/seminar ". I like your bonest approach and Insider information revelations. Keep up posting. I think you're providing a great service to your fellow wrestlers and we who are non grapplers. I wish you all the best in your life's endeavors. And. Obviously. You already know...both Presidents Washington and Lincoln were wrestlers. Best regards. P. S. The goatee is a hard looking addition to your face....in your youth, it gives you a touch ferocity to an otherwise gentle appearance. Good show. Gregg Oreo long Beach Ca

Wrestling sounds like hell in the beginning but that’s what I’m looking for since my goal is to build body strength. I’m in 10th grade (wrestling season is about to start) so idk if I will have enough time to grow and get better by the time I graduate.

It’s good to have confidence in general for life but don’t have the mentality that you can beat the shit out of everyone cause your being cocky and no one would like you and if you try to pick a fight with a guy who knows a striking and grappling art your pretty much screwed. And being a wrestler dosent guarantee to win all street fights cause the street is the street and someone could pull weapons like knives or jump you. The same thing applies to wrestling matches and your team don’t go in thinking your hot shit and could whoop anyone always keep your guard up

5:23 Humans pair bond when they are doing activities together especially in wrestling you are literally working hard together , challenging each other and supporting each other. It is the best way to make friends and it is way better than sitting down and drinking with random dudes in the bar because chances are you will never see them again whereas in wrestling practice there is a high chance where you will see your friend again.
