Good job, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Will you please discuss what you want to see in the header (above the fold) and the footer of the homepage. Thanks.
@ClearBrand
@ClearBrand 4 жыл бұрын
Yes! The header (navigation bar) should include a clear call to action button (typically in the top right corner) and links to revenue streams. If it doesn't make you money, get it out of the header. Your footer should include all your links. This is where links to your about page, contact page, blog, etc. belong. Many people also put contact info in the footer.

Just finished the book and spent the time at each step completing the SB7 framework and when I got to the Road Map I was definitely disappointed. The author gave great info but I felt never really showed how to use all the SB7 framework info I was grueling and racking my brain over. This video makes sense. Seems the author could have simply added 1 line to update your website section that we should include each of the SB7 elements as a section our websites. Or maybe I missed it. Anyway, this helped. What about businesses that offers services but sells products also? For example a Stylist offers services but who also has clothing to sell? Or a spa that a consumer can book appointments but the spa also sells lotions, shampoo etc? Should the above the fold section focus on the service or products?

Great question! First, I recommend you watch this video:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nZyRgMyjp7_UYIk.html Your homepage will either be your primary revenue stream, with your other revenue streams in the navigation bar or it will highlight your services/products. Whether they’re products or services doesn’t really matter - think about them each as revenue streams instead.

Great video! Question: When your product is a fashion brand do you still recommend we construct the website in this structure?
@ClearBrand

Yes, absolutely. But use more pictures and less text. You can also skip the Problem section, Guide section, and 3-Step Plan.

Does one need to be StoryBrand certified to apply and reference the framework when working with clients? For example can I mention in my marketing that I design and build StoryBrand structured websites?

These steps seem that they are for the homepage. Would you have these same steps repeated for a service page for a piano lesson school? We have have kids, teens and adult pages for our lessons. Would you go through each section again on those pages?

Thanks for the video! Question: Isn't FAQ supposed to be in the "junk drawer"? If you go there now integritymedicine.com, you will see full menu. Is system proven wrong, so they changed to "classic" website? The way websites were made before StoryBrand .

Great question! This is an experiment we're running with this client. They got a lot of phone calls with questions that were answered in their FAQs, so we're seeing if this reduces those calls and qualifies leads better. Notice how the FAQs still keep users on the sales page. We love testing and learning and can't wait to see what happens!

What about SEO? I see examples of the problem in the titles but not really SEO related.
@ClearBrand
@ClearBrand 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Wes! Great question. Yes, you can work SEO terms into titles. The first section, your Solution section, and your call to action section are great places to do this. In general, Google is focusing on ideas more than keywords. So the best thing you can do is clarify your message and keep each page focused and easy to read. Sometimes this means it doesn't make sense to put the keyword in the main title. In those cases, we put the keyword in the sub-header. Like with Integrity Medicine, "Direct primary care in Newton, Kansas" is the keyword. Advanced tip: If you put the keyword in the sub-header, we recommend changing the code (without changing the design{ so that the sub-header is H1 and the header is H2. That tells Google that your keyword, like"Direct primary care in Newton, Kansas," is the most important thing on the page. This is an advanced tip because if you're using a website builder and you change it to H1 it will also change the design, which would defeat the purpose. Good luck!
