Now you are right A87, thick locs ARE everything. I considered between 55 and 58 at first because I fell in love with a colleagues so I know yours are gorgeous! Mine don't take long at all to dry but it does have a lot to do with the climate. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment

@@itscolleensade4672 Thank you! Lol, that was 8 years ago! I had to freeform under a wig, for 7 months just to get them to stay in. I remember getting dressed and thought I looked more beautiful w/o the wig and took the pic!

@@itscolleensade4672 I have a question. So my hair is literally a short afro with the locs. Do you think me wrapping them (durag, headwrap) up often will mess with the forming of the thickness?

@@Shanaya.Ahyashah That's a great question. I don't think it will impact the thickness but if you're wrapping them too tightly they may form a bit more flat then round so keep that in mind. Just enough to keep them together but not enough to flatten them unless you aren't concerned with the shape. Most of mine are more flat than round by the way. You can also use a satin bonnet.

itsColleenSade I just took down a set of starter locs that I’d had for about a month. I had about 39 I think but they weren’t as big as I wanted. So I’m going for about 25 this time around🙂

How many times would you say you use conditioner? I’ve been thinking about it because my hair doesn’t stay moisturized at all. I’ve just heard so many negative things about it but at the same time, that was the only thing that worked for my loose natural hair.

@@MJ-oz8wo I'd say about every three to four washes. Rinse it really well and it works. My hair is corse and thick so these locs are not unraveling or going anywhere. 😁 I was also hesitant but you have to try things to learn what'll work for your locs.

I have not tried steaming them but that has been something I've considered going to a salon for. If so, it'll be my first time letting anyone do my locs and I'll video the process and results!!!!!!

Congratulations on your journey and thank you for your compliment!!! Early on I twisted them every wash but once my hair stopped unraveling, I'd twist less. Now, about every three to four months.

Hey Mrz O, mine are not heavy at all at this point. When they are wet they have a little weight. Not sure how that will change as they get longer.
