I love and needed this right now Tom! I have been struggling with this and the ironic part is that I am the only person that thinks my videos aren't good enough. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. It's the Forrest Gump approach for me from here on out....okaaaaaaaay!

What are you seeing a change in? How much has your production gone up and have you been able to relate it specifically to the videos?

Tiffany Ireland I literally went from selling 5 homes my first year to 30 in the Beverly Hills area. It helped me solidify myself as a brand and it also gave me a massive agent following which means a ton of agent to agent referrals.

From creating to distributing, promoting and engaging ... these take a lot of time ... or money ... but then again, we can look at it as investments. Reputable and serious biz or realtor always have a budget for marketing right? It's a matter of what kind of marketing tools gets the priority in our budget. Even the simple, meeting clients and taking them out for lunch to spend one on one time with them takes time and money (and we should have a budget for video and one on one). So... what I am trying to say in my rambling here is video works when we invest time and money and do it the right way. Thank you Tom for this video explaining the process on how video marketing works.

Because nobody ever talks about actual results. It costs time and money. I have asked every single marketer talking about video what are the results. They NEVER HAVE ANY ANSWER. I know many people wasting their time on videos and never making sales! Results is ALL that matters!

Hey Tom. Thanks for always putting out great content. I'm With you on this topic 99%. I think that hiring a videographer on day 1 doesn't make sense for most new real estate agents. Yes they should be doing video on day 1, but most people don't come into the business with the marketing budget that is necessary for professional video. Definitely something to work towards. Quick question related to my new video podcast. I have about 40 minute episodes which are ideally listened to via a podcast player. I also release the video from the show on KZfaq and have short teaser clips that I use for Facebook, etc. Would you recommend uploading these teaser clips on KZfaq as well even though they are already there within the full episode? Thanks.

Tom, you mentioned in 2008 your buddy wasn’t getting any business from videos. I am assuming that changed, can you give some examples of agents getting great return on investment from videos. What is an average return? Is this more about creating credibility on the internet or actually gaining new clients through a new way of prospecting?

Please talk about results. People recommending video never connect it to ACTUAL CLOSED DEALS. Results are all that matter. This approach requires a fairly significant investment in time and money that could be spent meeting people.

Sorry I didn’t connect the dots for you. I’ll do a whole show around it. Take a look at the video #TeachMeHowToDuffy by Tim Smith, Coldwell Banker Newport Beach, this film on a luxury home ($45mil) generates millions of views, more press than you could imagine and not one, but two buyers who write offers and ultimately closed creating the highest sales price to-date. Video works, period.

I am transitioning from my 20 year career as an educator/education expert to real estate. I still coach parents and teachers, sell courses and mentorships. Do I I weave real estate into the brand I am building or re-brand myself for just real estate keeping the 2 separate? I really want to make ME the brand, and include it all- but goes against everything I know about niche. Would love any thoughts- IG handle for reference @taraboertzel
