Thank you for your question. The muscles use in this exercise are the quads, glutes, hamstrings to name a few. The main reason for this exercise is not isn’t about the muscle groups used but how they are being used. This exercise promotes explosive power (plyometrics) which is very useful for Olympic lifting.

@@WoDaLoT I mean glutes ,hams and quads will be working but at that split second where u go from knees to toes your bringing your knees towards your chest right so does it mean your also working your abs gor that split second

Yes, abs will be activating during that specific part of the movement.

Yes, you are 100%! However body weight (kneeling jump squats) are for anyone that wants to develop speed and power. Try with no bar.
