Thank god none of those other people got cast. This cast is just perfect. I would not change anyone and especially not Nina. No one can hold a candle to that girl. She's not only great at acting but she's insanely beautiful that no blond actress would have played her character better. I am sure of it.

in the books, Elena is blonde and very dark blue-purple eyes. Yep. Not brown hair and brown eyes. Personally, i think the character Elena is better with darker hair.

🤣 I would die! Ian is the best cast actor according to how the characters are supposed to look. Damon: thick wavy black hair, black eyes Stefan: wavy black hair, green eyes Elena: golden blonde hair, deep blue eyes Bonnie: red head, forgot eye color Caroline: brunette with green eyes(Caroline actually hates Elena in the books instead Elena in friends with Bonnie and Meredith)

In case i'm the only one who caught this: She referred to Mason Lockwood as Tyler's "wolfed out cousin". Mason was not Tyler's cousin. He was his uncle. Obviously, TVD's #1 fan in the world should know something as simple as that.

If Ashley Tisdale played Elena, I wouldn't have been able to take the show seriously. Disney stars don't transfer into the real acting world very well for me. The show would've been a bust.

The fact that surprised me the most was that Paul Wesley, Michael Trevino, and Zach Roerig all wanted to play the role of Damon. I'd have to say no one could play it better than Ian, and I could not imagine any of those three taking that part. Am I the only one??

I read somewhere that Nina Dobrev is a Harry Potter fan, and I find it intriguing that she knows French and Bulgarian two languages that Fleur Delacour of "Beauxbatons Academy of Magic" and Viktor Krum of "Durmstrang Institute" speak respectively. p.s. She can speak English as well, which students from "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" speak. Just wanted to write the whole names of all the three schools.

Martyna Morgenstern I'm not saying it's abnormal that she speaks three languages, I'm saying that it's cool that she speaks the languages which the students from the three prominent Wizarding Schools of Europe speak. I commented that with the thought, as she is a Harry Potter fan, she learned the languages mostly spoken in all the three schools because of it, which maybe true or not, but I definitely found it interesting and felt giddy with geekness. And I wanted to write the whole names of all the three schools, because I'm a huge Potterhead and felt like writing them, which satisfied me immensely. Yes, you can call me weird.

I think the only reason T.V.D producers wanted Ashlee Simpson as Elena is because the Elena in the books was a blonde. The producers were trying to follow the book but i'm so happy Nina Dobrev got it, she suits it more :)

The books can be a little weird but overall they rock. I really don't get why the producers wanted to change the name Salvatore. It shows the Italian origins of Stefan and Damon and it also means savior. Glad they did not change it.

I recently read the first 4 books in tvd and did you guys know that according to the books, if you kill a lot of people you can turn into different animals. Damon prefers a crow while Stefan turned into a falcon one time I believe.

I also am going through my 2nd time of watching the vampire diaries because of how OBSESSED i am with the show. not to be weird but i do have dreams of the show playing the part of Elana an seeing what its like in her shoes of loving 2 men an those 2 loving her. my dreams of them are like almost every night because of how much i binge watch the show. i love how well the show turned out. I also have learned more about the characters an got a little more information from watching it for the 2nd time. sometimes you dont notice small details that you missed until you have watched it over lol. again the BIGGEST FAN OF TVD :)
