This was the height of my TV obsession days. Now, the people who told me I should stop watching so much TV are now watching a dozen or so shows on streaming services and cable and I barely watch anything outside of KZfaq. That "this is junior high, you don't..." has been stuck in my head since then. I used to like the corniness and explosive music of those Tropicana Twister commercials, and the juice. I remember being fascinated with the computer graphics of the Listerine "Tarzan Boy" commercial.

I remember during that time, FOX seemingly was throwing anything and everything at the wall and seeing what would stick. I remember "Woops!" but only that it existed. Back then, Fox was doing a eclectic range of programs trying to find it's footing. I cannot imagine shows like "The Simpsons" and "Married With Children" existing in any other network except Fox.

And most of these off-beat sitcoms only lasted for half a season or less before they were canceled. The rare exception was Herman's Head which somehow managed three seasons.

3. Certs- The bits with the guys having extreme reactions to others’ breaths in this commercial made me laugh harder than they should have. Motrin IB- The moments with the man having a pretend tea party with his daughter in this commercial are so sweet, that, they put a smile on my face every time. 8. Promo for The Simpsons- I found it funny that they chose to make Homer scream when the tab came off of his pudding can in this promo, whereas in the actual episode, when that happened, Homer screams, “MARGE!!!” in the style of the screaming of “STELLA!!” from the play, “A Streetcar Named Desire”.

This represents the fourth season of The Simpsons, and it was here that the show had really found its feet. The characters were developed, and the writers were now comfortable enough to really go wild. This time period marks the true beginning of classic Simpsons for me.

12:49 - Speaking as someone who was fresh out of Junior High in 92, lots of kids brought bag lunches when I was there, and nobody drank orange juice at lunch.

They really just had a promo of A Streetcart Named Marge and showed not one single frame of shirtless Flanders smh. I wonder if the ruby red or extreme artificial twister juice is worse for you. Only babies drink apple oj!!!! I really loved the beautiful cow though. This was such a fantastic break.

I've never heard of Woops! I've religiously read a list of worst [American] tv shows on Wikipedia [edited monthly/annually]. Nobody has made an entry out of it. I would watch the commercials of The Simpsons hence why I'm here 😅😅😅

So what came first teen spirit deodorant or Nirvana's smells like teen spirit? Cause somebody's got some explaining to do either way 😂

The deodorant brand came first "The title derives from a phrase written on Cobain's wall by his friend Kathleen Hanna, singer of the riot grrrl band Bikini Kill: "Kurt smells like Teen Spirit." Hanna meant that Cobain smelled like the deodorant Teen Spirit, which she and Tobi Vail, his then-girlfriend, had discovered during a trip to the grocery store. When the song came out, we perceived it as sort of a joke or double entendre because we were familiar with the heavily-advertised deodorant.

I actually saw a few episodes of Woops! and i can agree that it's among the worst tv shows of all time. Just the dumbest premise of all time

I think they were essentially trying to remake Gilligan's Island but didn't realize that changing the setting from a desert island to a nuclear apocalypse may not translate well to comedy.

@@80sCommercialVault The level of suspension of disbelief you had to have had to make that series work was way too much and it just wasn't funny at all. The only funny bit was in the first episode and it was the reason why one of the people survived was because he was in his Volvo at the bank
