In this video I will be removing the ignition coil from a 4.3l v6 1994 astro Chevy van. I will be installing a new ignition coil and re using the parts on the old ignition coil to re install. This saves you money or parts and labor if you purchase the part with everything to install it’s 56$ if you purchase the coil and with just the screws and bolts that come with it it’s 26$ either way it’s cheaper to just re use the metal clamps that hold it in place.
Watch full video to know how easy it is to do it your self and fix it your self save money and save money on paying for labor this is what a mechanic would do and prob still charge you for full price on part with old clamps and just else use the old one.

Good job dude!...Same issues on my 94 Astro...changed wires & plugs ..still same problem...going for the coil...hopefully that does it...Great Video!....

the distibutor could also be a\the problem they are plastic and a known problem on this engine

jeffery warburton yes it’s plastic and tends to go bad and will affect it.. I had someone bring me their Astro with it not tightening properly into place so the screwes tend to screw up the plastic and don’t tighten properly anymore..

Vids a bit bouncy, but I'm doing the exact same thing, mine is a 95 astro.i don't really need to remove my tires do I. I haven't gotten under there yet. But it looks pretty accessible without doing that. Anyways TY for the vid.

@@originalosanchez5549 you ignition wouldnt have anything to do with the hesitation. Do you have a check eninge and dose it affect yoir driving at all?

@@mrmusclecarsuspect5362 check engine comes on and off but most of time it stay off , but when I press the gas hard it runs but at same time como el motor se kiere ogar so suenito el accelerador y and press it again and it keeps runing

@@originalosanchez5549 como q oga entonses.. you might want to check that code. It should still he stored in your cars data if it comes and goes scan it and see what code it gives u. Dose stabilitytrack sogn on your dash come on? Sometims you can have a misfire witch causes hesitation on your car. Scan the code and lmk what it gives you and other quesrions you might have. Check your sparkplugs and wires are good. Sometimes a simple sparkplug replacement fixes issues like a hesitation that can be mistaken for a misfire.
