For the shut off/auto on start mode you have a second small battery in the truck theirs a cover that covers it.

I did that and all it did is not turn on my car at all and then I told my boy my car dont start and I did what this video show and my boy was like that is trash take it all off and when I took it off then it started cranking but this is false that shit dont work

Dude you are awesome! I had my sons camaro in the shop for 3 days and they could not get it to stick but as soon as my son gets it home it sticks! This has been happening way too much and getting him stuck places waiting for key to unlock. I applied your fix and this is a miracle! You are amazing sir!

@allen61070 I had just arrived to work a few minutes ago, and mine didn't get stuck either! I've been fighting with it the last several weeks, normally waiting 5 or more minutes for the key to come out. It's very frustrating 😅

Another guy takes a metal wire brush that you put onto a drill then scrape the paint of in the same place where you screw it in and uses a star washer to make sure it connects to the metal... .just a thought!

2015 Camaro SS. This is happening 2009 to 2015s according to AAA and they get a ton of calls for this. AaA was here for 9 mins and we got key out and it was free (i tipped for his time though) . But apparently its temporary so you do need to do this video... we will start when we know what bolt/screwdriver tool we need. It looked like an uncommon tool that is 21$ at ace from other videos AAA came and wemt to the engine..unhooked engine..rehooked and turned on and key came out and said key was bad so we used spare key today. Learned fhis is a temporary fix (AAA did this for free by the way if you need to go somewhere soon and dont have the tools). So again now key stuck...your video helped were just confused bexause other videos sakd a different tool but looked like you used a screwdriver? What did you use?

I used a screwdriver attachment tool that attached different tips. Nut the soze of the bolts i bolive were 7mm bolts used a sockets size 7mm. Sorry for the late reply, and yes, this should fix the issue. Replacing parts will just have the issue coning back

Video was 100% spot on. It took me about ten minutes since I never did this before. I couldn't have done this without the video. Chevy dealer was going to charge me $100 just for diagnostics and for parts, if needed. They probably would have charged for unneeded parts.

Have always used a wrench for inner tie rods, usually not hard to break loose anyways and they give you nice big flats

I saw the tools on Amazon claim to work well for the inner tie rods. i gave it a try and busted my knuckles 😅 it was a struggle, so i just used my wrench

Po513 is the Sentry Key Imobilizer Module as in the anti-theft system. If you have another key, try that one. PCM found an error/problem with the imobilizer key ID. Sometimes, it can just be that your battery on your remote is running low, and replacing the battery can fix the issue or use a different key

I appreciate the quick and short NO-BS explanation (I HATE people that want to talk for 10 minutes before giving a 30 second explanation!!!). I have a 2015 Camaro that has been having this issue for over a year and a half and only has 35,000 miles on it. Usually, I have to restart the car several times, rotate the steering wheel back and forth, kill the engine and then try to take out the key..... eventually it will let the key come out (takes about 7 tries doing this.... usually). I'll be doing this hack this weekend! Thank you dude!!!

There is a 5 amp fuse that you can pull that disables that plunger... Easier to pull the fuse...

2015 2LT - 4 screws. I've dealt with this for a year and some days it is worse than others, today on my birthday it finally wouldn't budge. Thank you, bro! You saved me so much headache. I gave a dealership $300+ to "clean the key and ignition" and it of course did nothing. All those techniques I had are finally in the past!

Dealer rip you off. A simple computer diagnostic would show that the key release system requires the shift lever to be on park. All the failures that I seen have been the micro shift at the shift lever. It's a $9 part D2hw-bl251h and it's extremely easy to replace. It's located at the shift lever and takes no more than 30 minutes to replace.
