YES!! That's what it was!! The relief hose, There are 3 hoses that come out the top of the tank. 1 that goes to the filter, one that goes way back somewhere idk.. but then there is one that curls up and you can follow it right to exit spout on the front of the jetski by the steering bars. I pulled off that hose from on top of tank its the one near the right side of the jet ski.. soon as I pulled it off it went pssss air coming out or something.. Tried to crank it again :) VROOOM VROOOM>

That sounds like water in the fuel. After the ski sits for a while (in the garage) the fuel and water separate and it will pull straight gas from the tank. When you drive it to the lake on your trailer, it mixes everything back together and now you have water and fuel mix! I had the same thing with a boat that I rebuilt. Dry gas the crap of the fuel that's in the tank or siphon the tank dry and replace with all new fuel. Good Luck.

This happened after we ran the Polaris SLX to death.. no gas left :( WOULDN'T START.. took off relief hose.. and all is well.. relief hose seems plugged going to change it.

Yes I just bought a Polaris 99 SLX blue fuji(780), And it's was turning over fine, and then went to water to fire up, and all the sudden it just makes a hurt clunk. I check battery, and jumpered seliniod same thing. What esle can I check and how.

Make sure your fuel filter is really tight or just by pass it and see if that works

Make sure your gas cap is sealed. Mine would not do that and it was just the seal on the gas cap. there is supposed to be a rubber seal there. the gas tank has to have pressure to work. If that is not that, check your compression.

my 93 sl 750 is doing that now i pull the choke and it will go for a sec but you have to keep pulling it did you find any thing out??

ps you want smoke , alot of smoke , you verified that the fuel pump is clean , you need to make sure the carbs are clean , does it run long enough to determine which cly is running ? i think your issue is the carb being dirty but if you supply fuel to all three you gotta make sure all three will fire

One thing's for sure you ruining it with that spray can is going to ruin it, ether is not good at all I bet it sounded like a can of nuts and bolts running on that spray

Pull your spark plugs and see if there fouled. If not and you have verified fuel pressure and delivery then Id say you have a carb issue..

Where is the check Valve? my sl650 runs in the shop just fine but when you put it in the water i cant hit the gas or it bogs down to where it will stall. Every so often it will it works out of it for about 10 seconds and runs great then stalls. it starts back up fine and idles fine but back to the same thing. I was able to pull the choke and get it to take off for another few seconds but you have to keep pulling the choke up quick to get to stay at a higher rpm. any help would be great thanks!

Shit I have the same problem! I think my fuel pump is not working because fuel will not circulate through my lines. is my pump is bad then maybe its due to the fact that the motor is not pulsing? thats how the fuel pump works via crankcase pulse. maybe switch over to electric fuel pump!!!!
