This is, by far, the best rapier guide I've seen. I've looked at a dozen or so, but none of them seem to grasp the mechanics nearly as well. Thank you for doing this. It gives me plenty of specifics to work on.

Great explanations of the key rapier concepts! Been using it as primary all the way to 60 and couldn't imaging using anything else. It makes all the negatives of light armor bearable... Glad to see all the things you go into, I have naturally stumbled upon myself by playing. Like you said, super important to get to a point where you stop thinking about the abilities, but rather just watch your opponent and react naturally to what they are doing, rather than trying to dictate the fight. Let them lead, use your s to counter, get behind and reposition instantly as needed.

Yo, this is a very nice and thought-out guide, I use Spear/Hatchet right now. Thinking about branching into some others once I get them to 20, rapier is definitely on the list now.

This is huuuuuge. All the other nonsense guides are about what points to put in and just general “ha this weapon is good!”… I would hope anyone with a brain could figure out which passives are good, preference, and bad for their play. This is such a good guide to give actual chain combos and how the CD’s can play off one another. Thank you!

Fun tip, you can also block the parry-hit to avoid the stun-- it's still great against moves with end lag though.

Great video. Lots of things for me to go back now and practice. I think also the backstab can be hard because of the small hitbox? I have my dpi on my mouse a little higher than yours. Do you think that it should be lower?

I use evade pretty good but I don’t incorporate the 3 lights into evade for the constant pressure damage. Ty!!!

Why use unerring passiv coz u dont do bleeding? Or i miss something?

what gear perks do you think is best for this build? what i think is a must have is the adagio omnidirectional evade.

What do you prefer as a secondary weapon to combine with rapier between fire staff and ice gauntlet ? Coming from a dex build I have a hard time making a decision between the agressive and mobile playstyle of the fire staff and the cc + suvivability of ice gauntlet. I play Rapier/IG on light armor but i will turn 60 today. I am thinking about to switch to medium armor because of wars and the sustain since there is just a minor dmg boost. What do you think of medium armor?

I use that "roll, evade, roll (switch to bow) evade shot". The evadeshot also gives haste which is great. I get so far away from all these melees that would destroy me in my light armor otherwise.

Always think rapier animation is top tier.
