I searched "smashed potatoes" on tiktok, but it is literally just what I did in the video - boil 'em, press them down on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper, put 'em in the oven (mine was a 200 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until crisp and bam 🙌

I remember Saint Martin Day from Germany on 11/11 (also beginning of carnaval season). In kindergarten (35 yrs ago, lol) we would go out with paper lanterns in the evening and lit candles inside, kind of procession, have brezels with butter and adult mulled wine (now I'm an adult and can have both, haha).

I'm Nigerian, and I can relate with the dish washing soap. I knew a couple of people, who added water to their soap. My mom didn't dilute the soap, until my sister started doing the dishes. She can use a 1.5l dish washing soap in 5 days if you let her. Then, my mom started splitting a bottle into 3. She'll fill the empty space with water. Soap lasts much longer now.

You genuinely come off so positive and smiley and it just makes me smile and very happy :) I needed to smile today because I’ve been going through a very stressful week with the end of the semester approaching and personal probs like we all have. Not to be that person, but adding water to your bottled products puts you at risk of bacterial contamination. Preservatives are added for the original volume of liquid. By adding water you're diluting the preservative and thus could get bacteria growing in your products. I had a look into that brand (Monkholme) but I couldn't find any ingredient listings so I'm unsure what they use to preserve them. Just thought I should let you know. 🤎 For anyone wondering, I come from a detergent chemistry background, dont @ me. 😂 Love your videos!

i do these potatoes on a regular, but I use the tiny fingerling potatoes. They cook up faster, both boiling and the roasting/crisping. They are a hit EVERY SINGLE TIME.

The potatoes are very popular/traditional in Portugal in a dish called "Bacalhau à Lagareiro com batata a murro", I love them so much! :D in my house we smash them with our fists eheh

It's a silicone baking mat. It's reusable over and over again, to replace parchment paper or tinfoil. 😁

Hi Gittemary. I have been thinking about getting a Water-saving tap just like yours. Do you feel it is just as easy to wash dishes as before? And is there a way to still use the tap as before (I am specifically thinking about filling up water bottles: Doesn't that take forever?) Venlig hilsen Annika :)

Washing dishes is easier, but it takes a little longer to fill up bottles, but it is certainly nothing annoying or super inconvenient, like ten seconds 😅✌️
