I suffer from Points 2 and 4, and they are why I can show inconsistency as a man. At 27, I only had one intimate relationship that got past the “hard beginning phase” I call it for me. Most of my relationships died when I tried to pursue or just went through a few dates and tried to start a relationship over the course of a month or 2. Then when I met my ex in college whom I deeply loved, I was just so apprehensive and filled with fear about trying to figure out how to pursue her and not make her run away because I really liked her and wanted to be in a relationship. I can empathize with you exactly because it’s how I made my ex feel with the hot and cold reads even though we both had deep interest in each other. I just wasn’t sure and filled with fear about how to start things and get a read because my previous approaches failed hence points 2 and 4 in this video. It took nearly a whole year in college and spending time with each other and learning about each other after going to Church together. She knew I had feelings for her and I wasn’t sure even with all the positive responses because she was my first relationship. My advice to you is just encourage him to open up to you. Ask him to spend time together and keep being inviting and observing his character and qualities. Pray to God and keep being patient with him and see if he has any relationship experience and observing the positive interactions between you and him. Fear makes men pull back because you just may be the first woman or relationship he has ever gotten this far and does not want to mess things up since women always get attention but not men for relationships.

Yes, I started being more consistent and he responded similarly. The whole time I was being inconsistent because I thought he wasn’t interested. But it seems like he eventually thought the same thing about me so wasn’t as consistent @@AnEmerald

Yes, actually, there are so many kinds of situations. You actually could meet the right person for you, but they might not have the full realization at the very beginning that you're the one God ordained for him. God might reveal to you who your true future spouse is and he may not know or fully know it yet. He might be asking for a confirmation from the Lord, trying to see what the Lord's Will for His life is. Everyone's testimony is different. I've personally heard different testimonies where some don't fit the mold. I believe that the important thing is we pray and intercede (for our future spouses, for ourselves) to receive the very right person God has for us and focus on and follow God and His Kingdom and His righteousness and all those things are added on to us in God's divine timing. We also need to get ready in every way to help meet and have a successful union with that person. Prepare your inner world, your home (even if they might never see it except for helping with the moving, etc. after marriage), and everything else in your life internally and externally to help meet the right person for you and being ready with everything as much as possible by the time the Lord has you guys married, etc God watches us and tests us. It is not enough to pray; we also need to do our part right. If you're not sure what your part is, simply pray to the Lord and ask Him and He will tell you. Of course, love God with all you have, love others in truth. and obey the Lord in EVERYTHING. Give your tithes (10% of your total gross income) plus offerings plus any first fruits to God's House from all income consistently and give to Him first (or separate that money to give it away to His House quickly as He leads you) before you even pay a bill or debt. Malachi 3: 8-12 & Matthew 23:23. Don't owe no man nothing but to love him. So, pay off any debt and stay away from debt. Have the money before you buy things, even big ticket items. Be a good steward of money you have because it is His money and not ours. Also, remember to give alms to the poor and those in need on top of your tithes, offerings, and first fruits. When we give and surrender to the Lord EVERYTHING, and follow Him in ALL things and don't care what we will eat, drink, wear, etc. He provides for us richly in every way.

Hunting for food and picking a spouse is 2 totally different things. If I’m hunting I’m hunting to live and survive. Picking a spouse is a choice and if she’s not showing interest I’m not forcing a situation. I will take no for an answer and move on

It is most likely he is not interested, or he is not ready to date anyone at that point. Love is not persistent on its own. I keep reminding myself when I have crush on someone. I make myself present, but if his response is negative, then I leave him alone.

Girl are we living the same life? I literally haven’t dated since 2021 /celibacy. God had been me heavy about marriage. Ah friend said ah guy from her church said he was interested I put it off for months. She came over & said so & so keeps asking me for your number. I finally gave in & super sweet guy but wanted to move so fast & I basically let him know. I only plan on sex with my husband & asked him if that’s not something you’re interested in I definitely understand. He said he was fine with waiting we had ah super deep discussion about boundaries etc. This week he is being distant so I don’t know. God keeps telling me move extremely slow because in the past I moved way to fast.
