I'm so surprised you managed to avoid that, when I saw on the mini-map that one car has stopped in turn 1 I knew it's gonna get nasty. Shame other cars got collected by this guy.

What gets me about this is how it ruins people's time. I don't have much time for racing (kids, work, etc) and of course shit happens in racing, but this kind of deliberate action is just unconscionable.

You know who this guy is, IRacing may not tell you directly he's banned but you can see from his activity if you follow him/her if there still racing. I would imagine knowing iRacing, if this was his first incident like this he will probably receive a warning that this is not acceptable behavior. IRacing is a business, and they don't want to just ban people for their first incident. If it is his first they will probably try to coach him, if he has done something like this before, then he will be gone, at least for a few weeks.

Damn I was in this race (red and white bastos BMW) this dude gave me 8x total and ruined my race but I had no clue that he just sat at T1 like that, would have reported if I saw it.

If he has no other successful protests against him a lifetime ban might not be on the table, knowing iRacing. Other than that he needs the biggest punishment available. Maybe have him handwrite "I will not be a bellend" a thousand times and send it in. Personally I would permaban him, even if he is a paying customer. People like that have no place in a community of people that want to simulate racing with a degree of seriousness. If they do this again and again they might encourage other players to stop racing because of the mayhem and that might hurt iRacing in the long run.

Please don't lifetime ban him because then he might come over to ACC, and we really don't want him!

I'd hazard a guess and say he'll get a 3 month or so ban, normally a lifetime ban is for a repeated offense, so if he does it again it's a perma ban, but then saying that I had someone reverse back on track when doing a GT3 race last year, protested the guy and he got a 1 month ban

We had a similar thing with our ACC community races. He also made out he was part of Sim Racing GP and was going to get us all banned because of our driving lol. Turns out it was nothing to do with simracing-gp and also not even part of the eSports team he made out he was driving for.

If he has done something like this before then permaban for sure, if it's his first time maybe a month on the sidelines and a big note on his profile and warning to him, that if there is any intentional wrecking in the future it will be an instant ban.

He played GTS or Forza. Got POed with them. Spent $2k on a iRacing, PC, and rig. This was his first race. This is all speculation of course.

I have a recording of something even worst in skippy. Drove backwards on track, killed several people. Then towed into pits and came back out and did it again. Wasn’t lifetime ban. Banned for just a month.

imo that would be deserving of a permanent ban but there shoudnt be any permanent bans in iracing considering how expensive it is

Can someone enlighten me i don't play IRacing. Is there an IRacing committee that decides punishment ?....are all races reviewed or do you have to send clips in. I'm guessing in the terms and conditions it says that bad driving/sportsmanship could get your subscription cancelled ? On another note its weirdly comforting to see that stuff like this happens on something other than GT7 .

SO when this person I wont call him a driver. Decided to sit on that corner its blatant because he had 1:33 seconds to clear his head and know he was making a bad move but decided in his head it was the best thing to do and sacrifice 7 day ban for this. I drive this track now in the same cars I know you can do the track in 1:31. So he had time to think remove himself and join the race. He didnt. Lots of kids like this on iracing and I thought it would be better being R13 now hasnt changed a thing just shows adults are just as bad if not worse than kids under 13.

Although I agree that was complete b.s. but to hear you cry about a permanent ban is just as sad. You even admit we all get angry including real drivers and sometimes let there emotions show in a bad way. Like Kyle Bush as well as other forms of racing a driver will spin someone intentionally causing innocent drivers to get caught up. I don't agree with them doing this but when is the last time you saw a driver get banned from racing in real life for pulling this crap. I think he needs a long time out as well as maybe implement a fine system for I racing to have to look at these completely (only the worse) situation and add a fine onto an account b4 the driver can drive again. Why ban anyone for something like this? Why not develop the game itself so that it won't let player do this.... There could be detection built-in game that makes his car ghost with no collision if he is clearly totaled. Banning someone for something like this sounds just bad game design, especially that the game itself is stupidly expensive considering how far from real life it really is.

Ummmm where was the full course yellow? Why didn’t the game reset him to the pits? If he is permabanned then that shows that Iracing will ban small things like this and not ban actual people who ruined the big races!
