Are you mad at your vulva?
The frustration and anger that can build in the face of enduring Vulvodynia is the real deal. These emotions are a normal part of dealing with a chronic pain condition and you have the right to feel them fully.
It's very important to create space for these emotions to come up and out so they may be released from your body. Held anger keeps you stuck in the past and creates illness, resentment and stress all of which exacerbate pain.
Your nervous system runs the show in the face of chronic pain. Mindfulness is a fast acting way to calm your nervous system and dial back the fight or flight response. Use this meditation to activate your relaxation response and make space for yourself to feel, so that you can heal!
Take home affirmations:
* I allow myself to heal
* I release the need to feel angry
* I choose how I react
* I choose compassion & peace
Thank you to the follower who requested this meditation! We are always open to your requests, please feel free to DM us with more.

We are glad to know that you found the meditation on vulvodynia pain to be helpful. We currently do not have a meditation specifically for urethral and clitoral pain, but we will be sure to add that to the list of content to make for the future.

Just wanted to thank you so much for this video I can across it while searching for things about vulvodynia on instagram. Your work and help on this topic does not go unseen or unappreciated. I was finally diagnosed with vulvodynia after having pain since I was 12 using tampons (24 now) and then getting married at 20 and slowly it getting worse and worse to the point where intimacy is impossible. I am now on my healing journey and am in pelvic floor physio but my healing feels slow and it’s been more emotional healing so far. This meditation actually allowed me to feel it and not push it away and actually have compassion for myself that this has been such a terribly painful journey. Thank you ❤

Your meditation has been starting to help. I want the pain to stop. I keep telling myself it will get better. 😊 I would like to ask one question it might sound a little weird I drink, magnesium citrate powder to help my bowels every night. Could that be causing some of my vulvodynia pain? My Urologist said she doesn’t know.
@PelvicHealth
@PelvicHealth Жыл бұрын
Magnesium citrate does not cause vulvodynia. That being said, depending on how much you are taking and how it is affecting your bowels, if there is underlying PFD, increase in bowel frequency or change in consistency may be aggravating underlying factors.

Does Chronic pelvic pain syndrome/ non bacterial prostatitis take years to heal? What is a rough recovery time with pelvic physio treatment?
@PelvicHealth
@PelvicHealth Жыл бұрын
Recovery time can differ between patients as there are several factors at play: frequency of treatment, severity of symptoms, how quickly you improve from treatment, etc. CPPS can take under a year to recovery, but again this is dependent on numerous factors. We recommend finding a pelvic floor pt to start treatment. You are always welcome to request a virtual consult with us if you would like to discuss your case further.

I have a red , sore , burning vulva. I’m using a steroid cream but it’s not helping. Iv had it for over 3 years. I’m 75 years old. Can you tell me if it’s lichen planus or lichen sclerosis please?
@PelvicHealth
@PelvicHealth 9 ай бұрын
While we cannot diagnose based off your given symptoms alone, we would recommend that you schedule an appointment with a vulvar dermatologist who can conduct a thorough evaluation to give you a specific diagnosis and proper treatment plan.

Hi, since end of May I’ve had the constant urge that I need to urinate sometimes it’s lighter sometimes heavier I’ve had urine blood and cystoscopy test but nothing is wrong. My urologist thinks it’s an issue with the sphincter nerves. It gets aggravated if I lift or masturbate no pain just that constant urge. What could this be? I’m a 26year old male prostate showed up as good.

When other things have been ruled out this could be pelvic floor dysfunction, we recommend an evaluation with a pelvic floor physical therapist.

Thank you for responding I don’t feel pain in my pelvis just the constant feeling that I need to urinate and a constant sensation in my urethra. Could this still be pelvic dysfunction? Is it possible to recover 100 percent im extremely terrified. Can men recover from this?
