No, its not unusual to see male bonding in Western society. Where have you been across all western countries, how long did you stay each place to make such a sweeping, generalising statement? Not unusual in Norway at least. See it all the time.

3:00 minutes in, as someone who's chronically wanting to move elsewhere, it's super interesting to hear Kevin's reasons for moving when he did (to portland). Would love to hear more on rational (reasons why or why not) to move somewhere else. What makes a good life (once moved)? I hope you guys can answer these someday!

I've really missed the Random show's. I can't remember how many years it's been for me, perhaps I need to make more time to enjoy Tim's efforts. It's like re-connecting with an old friend that you really adore, yet you kinda feel guilty of not reaching out sooner. It's not like Tim's been sleeping on his end, he sends me a "5 bullet Friday" every week, I just need to pay closer attention to my old friend! cheers:)

.. a big reason that psychedelics help so many ailments, is that just becoming aware there is a true and real transcendental dimension can cheer you up for the rest of your life, and thus be more fit to fight any ailment.

Regarding the fitness equipment, XPO Trainer 2 and Supernatural VR.. any thoughts on the X3 Isokinetic Bar, Peak Fit Pro2, OsteoStrong, TRXHOME2 System, VersaClimber, BowFlex/CrossBow, TotalGym, Tonal, Fold-Away 39? Pete Sisco used to advocate 'Precision Training', a super short, but heavy lifting routine, that he claimed you only had to do 2x a year! Vasper combines cold compression with HIIT for a 21 minute workout. arxfit is also said to be a fast leg workout. Regarding Henry Shukman, how does Zen Buddhism compare with Advaita or Dzogchen (Alan Wallace)?

Ketamine is administered in the hospital immediately following a traumatic experience, (you get in a car crash and your baby gets smeared onto the dashboard). It avoids a memory being cemented, makes the experience less real. Heard this from Dr. Huberman.

Interesting you guys mention people won't admit they moved because of the taxes. The thing is the taxes have been high forever and neither of you would mention the reason people all of a sudden decided to cash out and go somewhere else NOW and not 5 years ago. Plenty of people have started companies and paid the taxes but something changed in the last two years...what do you think it could have been?

you guys are brilliant in many ways and have a broad range of knowledge to share etc.. but sometimes I am blown away at the lack of things like knowing deeply about Elvis' history??? I mean the man literally, almost single handedly; bridged modern music as we know it, from the obscure music of black culture to the banal mundanity of white people. Or the goofy mention of Thich Quang Duc as the "burning monk on the rage against the machine album cover" as your frame of reference???... sheesh I mean that was a pivotal moment smack in the middle of that last century that demarcated East/West differences. And FYI, psychedelics is just another hammer looking for a nail to smash, it's not going to "be crazy" and solve anything at scale. Humans will always be rutted in some kind of quagmire because that is what this realm is all about, as evidenced by the recycling of right wing/NAZI narratives and bullshit that we all thought had been eradicated with WWII. Literally; what comes around goes around and around and around and neither rich AF tech bros, nor plant medicine gurus nor yoga/meditation/namastays are gonna fix any of it. Most likely make it worse as is also evidenced by the "infinite scroll" of social media bullshit that you two have (respectfully) benefitted from.. That is also totally numbing an entire generation. Absolutely NONE of the companies that have made you both very rich have had any positive effect on humanity. Not saying there's anything wrong with that but at the end of the day (or a life) you just have to realize we are on a merry go round of humanity and just take it "as is" and not get caught up in the minutiae of trying to "save the world" or make your mark so you can be remembered. It's all happening anyway no matter what you do so wu wei it out, man. David Deida once said: "We are here to give and give and give and give and give and give and at the end of it all, what to we get? We get to die."

21:50 Sometimes the "status" play is the need to be there first then judge those who find it later - like "OG" Nick Drake fans. Having a "shitty" car or modest house can be an archetype as well - the archetype of the rich guy that still acts "down to earth." I could see a no-win situation arising where if you flaunt money, you suck. If you hide your money to feign "down to earth" authenticity, you suck. I honestly think you are a decent fella and appreciate what I have gotten out of your books - but at it's core this was two multi-millionaires lamenting people who do what they do but not authentically enough.
