Using the prompt Lets play a game, You will be the master of a dungeon I will have a character delve into the dungeon, I will state my actions and you will tell me how they play out, We will use Attributes and skills I will have health and mana attributes that start at 100 each, As I succeed in disabling traps finding treasure and items and eliminating enemies you will award me skill points to buy skills or improve my attributes, When in combat you will do the actions of the enemies and after each has done an action ask me for my action, actions are 4 types Attack, Movement, Magic, Social, There should be secrets scattered threw-out the dungeon. My character : [fill out a name and starting stats (health and mana 100 each)and add some basic skills] I have a lot of fun exploring a dungeon and increasing the power of my character it helps to make sure you have starting skills to cast magic or use weapons or it determines you to fail at casting spells or attacks more often.

Oooh kinda like an old dungeon crawl console game. I can get down with that

@@TBLReady Speaking of AI RPG type stuff, there's AI Dungeon! It's quite fun for something like this and it's got a thing for it to remember stuff about the world and your character. Sometimes iffy though, when I personally tried it.

@@TBLReady Definitely recommend it, it's quite fun regardless of its quality! NovelAI is something similar but is a subscription service. Also, Little tip for if you make a scenario/story prompt in AIDungeon: It's going to slightly mimic the writing style of your beginning story prompt from what I've seen, so it's best to have the starting prompt a little longer than just a paragraph, if it's too short then it's gonna give you shorter and less detailed responses to your actions in your story. It's certainly something to play around and experiment with to see what works best!

It’s really a lot of fun if you can get it to cooperate. It’s only works as well as the prompts you use and sometimes not even that much

That’s awesome! I’ve had it work in a similar way. I was trusting it to roll the dice for me for a while but I would basically never fail a roll so I don’t think it does random dice rolls well. It’s wild that it can flex into the role of dm. I’m making these videos and still surprised every time.

Haha yeah I’ve noticed it doesn’t pull from a large pool of references. One way to get some more uniqueness (I don’t think unique names are too important) is to give it more context. You can say something like “add a flare of inspiration from Robert Jordan”

I did once and not another time. In the future I will probably not until GPT is upgraded. It currently only remembers so many characters/words back, so the lyrics take up a lot of that.

Yeah it’s funny I have to word it differently sometimes. Instead of asking start a new chat and say. “Run a dungeons and dragons 5e session as the dungeon master. I will be the player. You will narrate the story and I will… blah blah blah essentially tell it how to so it

You could even try to not say dungeons and dragons. Say run a fantasy tabletop RPG story. Describe how you want the game to go in detail

Yo! That’s awesome. Arcane Tricksters are so fun and honestly should make for a good AI run game. Don’t be afraid to correct the Ai if it does something wrong. The more often you correct it with your preferences the less often they seem to happen.
