Here's an actual hot take, i dont want Warrior Cats to end. I want it to continue going for eternity and i want the arcs to slowly get more and more detached from reality. I want them to get sillier with their plots, i want more Starclan shenanigans. I want it to stop taking itself so seriously and just indulge in the ridiculousness of its concept.

I want a series/season of books that's + One book that takes place in starclan without the involvement of living cats + one book that takes place in the Dark forest without the involving of living cats + One book with the tribe cats without the involvement of clan cats + A book or trio of books based on around Lionclan, Leopardclan and Tigerclan. They were important in the warrior cats religion in earlier arcs and mentioned in the guide books, but really don't exist and are kinda forgotten about at this point.

Here's a take I feel like Twigbranch is actually a good name that makes sense in the naming system of the clans. She came to the clan as a small kit who couldn't care for herself but grew into a capable strong warrior. Many people meme on her name but I honestly really like it. It's a unique warrior name compared to what others had to be. Alot of warriors (even main characters) get the more basic names that don't really show off any part of who they are other then pelt color. Alot of names just end up ending in something like -pelt -fur or -heart. Also I just find the name pretty cute for a chaghter I honestly really enjoyed.

Hot take: I'm a Firestar fangirl. I love how brave and noble he is, and it hurts me when the community says they don't want him to appear in the books anymore.

Hot take: if they go on. I think they should finish it. What do I mean? Finish with the characters we know rn. And then. Refresh everything. Go into the future. You could do alot. New ideas. New roles. New clans? You can do alot with a time skip. I personally think a Refresh would be a good way to continue the series so many people like. Without dragging out things.

I'd love a soft reboot, generations away from the current known cast, have them be legends they teach thier kits. A fresher slate without having to restart or resort to drastic measures.

I, unlike the majority of people, think that the main series needs to end. After that, they could make a spin-off series with an entirely new cast that could take place decades in the future, when the clans have broken apart. My ideal situation is that since nothing ever happened with the old territories, it became a nature reservation and a group of rouges and loners rebuild the clans. Then you just go from there.

Forgive my rant, I'm very attached to this series For the comment talking about not wanting the series to go on, I understand where they're coming from, but I also still see potential in the series. I get why people love the first arc (or at least why I do) everything feels so new and you get to learn about the clans along with Rusty. But throughout the series I felt as if all the little things that gave the books and cats their character and charm slowly just faded. Don't get me wrong, it was still interesting in its own way but it just felt less exciting. (I guess the easiest example I can give is how mysterious and distant Starclan was before vs them literally manifesting physically to fight against cat hell) I get that realistically things in the books won't stay the same because we've been following the story through generations, and traditions are lost overtime. (Also ya know the whole multiple writers thing) I personally think the best option would probably be to get a huge time skip; I'm not talking a generation or two, I'm thinking long enough where the events in AVOS seems like just a legend or cautionary tale. I get they don't want to let loved characters go but a lot of them have overstayed their welcome. Idk, maybe some could be seen in Starclan. I just think the people behind Warriors would create something better if they started with a [mostly] clean slate. They could re introduce the clans and how they changed, who knows, maybe the clans are falling apart, maybe Starclans stepped back for a few generations idk. All I know is if they keep writing warriors as it is they'll probably end up killing the series in a very non fulfilling way. (Ngl I just wrote this because I didn't like the dark forest arcs and I'm salty about how they basically forgot about Riverclan liking pretty shells)

I have had the baseless but sneaking suspicion that the current path Warriors is taking will culminate in them slowly reverting to how the Ancients lived beside the lake; elimination of the warrior code, long-lasting non-hostility towards one another, and the abolishment of a medicine cat, having herb knowledge shared between everyone. While it would be an incredible letdown to myself, as I particularly felt the series "finished" with The Last Hope, it just particularly feels the path that the writing team is going to take. This is so unlikely and as I write this, I reinforce the insanity of the thought, but it's kept itself lodged in the back of my head as an outcome.

Hot Take: I really enjoy minor plots and worldbuilding in warriors. Sure, I love the main plot and stuff, but what I would live to see would be when things such as Riverclan decorating their camps with shells comes back.

My hot take is Splashtail is the evil mastermind behind A Starless Clan arc. He got more attention than I would’ve expected, he’s friends with frostpaw, he had hours to fake signs catch prey to lien dogs etc while he was waiting at the moonpool with frostpaw and could easily have faked a few signs. Also curlfeather told frost to trust no one, and she clearly trusts splashtail. idk but that’s my theory

My biggest hot take is probably that Rootspring and Shadowsight would have been a much better couple thematically. They have a much better chemistry and the whole Shadow is a ghost for 90% of his chapters and Root can see ghosts is sort of touching and sweet. Obviously much of the arc would have had to be rewritten, but it's a much sweeter ship imo

I dislike how the newer arcs include starclan and the the dark forest more and more. The first arc barely had any starclan in it. But the broken code had the last two books take place almost entirely in the dark forest.

I very much agree on the Darktail part! He was really the only reason i enjoyed AVOS(besides Alderheart) and his dynamic with Hawkwing was amazing. Though, I did enjoy TPB’s version of Tigerstar a little bit better(OOTS butchered him imo)

there should be a series based on all of the cats that were elders at the end of the broken code. i think it would be cool for all the elders (living or in starclan) to join some cult and disagree with the youth behaviors. we actually had a lil bit of that in avos where all the shadowclan apprentices turned rebel on the clan, this could be a cool concept where one of them who gets treated unfairly, decides to gang up and turn have some kind of sol moment or something where they express with words and not claws, later all the other apprentices leave the clans and live off somewhere on their own for a couple chapters or so

hot take: how completely frustrating TPB books are to read after the first time. they arent nearly as good as people seem to always say, maybe due to nostalgia 90% of the conflict wouldve been avoided if two things happened 1) Redtail told the truth himself of what happened when he died, even a simple sign to Bluestar (or Cinder/Spotted/Yellow) could have changed everything. There is never a reason directly given or even implied of why this wasnt possible. Bluestar went to the moonstone multiple times, Redtail was in Starclan.. did they PREVENT him from telling her? why? it makes zero sense 2) Bluestar actually told the other clans what happened with Tigerclaw instead of keeping quiet. If anything, it resulted in an extremely dangerous rogue in the forest who hated the clans and has access to a group of other dangerous rogues. she had no desire to share that? it's extremely selfish. plus this failure in sharing information is the entire reason he became Tigerstar. and while Leopardstar's perspective of him in her super edition doesnt make it completely clear cut if she would have exactly BELIEVED Bluestar off the bat, I think it wouldve made her at least take the early red flags more seriously so she couldve taken action before his power escalated to bringing in Bloodclan. but Leopardstar's honor is a whole other can of worms I wont get into rn 🙃 I know this whole series is the kinda thing where you cant apply TOO MUCH logic or most aspects of it fall apart, but these things are so glaring and baffling that it makes rereading TPB almost impossible. it makes me want to rip my hair out

Warriors need a soft reeboot. A huge time skip to where characters of the past are no more than just legends. Or a comeback to dawn of the clans (but it will never happen sadly). And we need a female villain. I'm tired of all the evil dudes and just Mapleshade, who everyone tries to excuse in the fandom.

I dont really care if the series continues for years to come, I just want them to acknowledge the ancient clan legends again

I really wish the books stayed ambiguous about whether Starclan existed or not. Although I feel the books have reached a point where these ideas are no longer possible to incorporate without doing a complete reboot, I think some of these ideas would have been cool to explore, or at least to dig into via fanfiction. Ideas like: Leaders don't receive any extra lives, staying with one singular life. Different governments! Is Riverclan more of a Monarch with one blood-line maintaining high power in the clan? Is Thunderclan a democracy? Do they have elections? What would that look like? Perhaps Windclan is a Theocracy, who have a Priest (Or in other terms Medicine cat) as the main leading presence in the clan. Shadowclan could totally be a dictatorship like Brokenstar for example. Maybe outsiders like Bloodclan or Skyclan can be communists (kind of like the in-cannon series), or just anything different idk. Also, how would these governments affect the naming system, their religion, their beliefs, and their language? Do they have different slang or terms that another clan wouldn't understand unless they lived there? How would this affect wars and battles? How would this change the warrior code? Differing traditions that are more than 'we climb tree' and 'we eat fish'. They should stand out from each other. ^To add to these two points, Starclan can have totally different interpretations from clan to clan I feel like tensions between clans can be even more visceral if these clans are actually more like mini countries, and if their roots came from different groups of loners, rouges, etc, all united by the cats that came from the mountains. They want to keep their culture alive while also wanting to maintain their power over the territory. Medicine cats trade each other herbs, cats blackmailing each other, spies, dawg I just want political drama. The half-moon meetings are more of a sharing tongues moment. They still touch the moonpool/moonstone, but nothing happens. Maybe they'd do some prayer or stuff. I'll probably add on to this later, just some stuff I'd think be fun.

This probably isn't really a hot take, just something I want to say: There needs to be much more focus on platonic relationships in Warriors. Did any of TBC protagonists really have friends besides Shadowsight's friendship with Rootspring and Bristlefrost (still think Shadowsight and Brislefrost should've had more of a relationship, they're direct cousins), Bristlefrost's with Spotfur, only really focused on in Darkness Within, and Rootspring's sort of enemies to friends thing with Turtlecrawl and Kitescratch but they hardly interacted after Lost Stars. In AVoS there was pretty much no friendship either. Twigbranch was friends with Finleap, but they got together. Alderheart and Puddleshine were kind of friends, but that's it for him. Alderheart and Twigbranch had their friendship too, and Alderheart and Violetshine as well, but protag friendships with each other are to be expected. Violetshine (besides Alderheart) had just Needletail and Zelda, two characters who were gone after Shattered Sky, Needletail being dead and Zelda back to kittypet. Back in Power of Three after Dark River Hollypaw's friendship with Willowpaw was literally never once mentioned again. It was something Hollyleaf should've at least though back on, once. But she didn't. We never saw Willowpaw try to speak to her again either. And I know it's too late now, but cross-clan friendships that included illegal meetings was a HUGE missed opportunity. I know Heatherpaw and Lionpaw was kind of that, except it wasn't. They clearly had romantic feelings for one another while they met. Two friends with only platonic feelings for one another never met illegally, which was a hugely missed opportunity. Warriors needs more friendships.

If warrior cats goes in direction I'm thinking if in ASC; Nightheart might possibly become leader, Bramblestar will retire - and yes, alot of us want him killed off but it's unlikely since he was just rescued. Squirrelflight will also retire alongside Bramblestar. Another thing, Squirrelflight and Bramblestar are no longer mates. We do need new leaders, that's for sure. Firestar became leader fairly young, so more young leaders would beneficial to the story. Harestar will likely be picked off, he's younger than Crowfeather; but I do believe Crowfeather will be the next WindClan leader. Yeah, he's old, but I don't mind older leaders; just not all of them. For villians? Alot of people think Mapleshade is having a come back; RiverClan is weak, no leader, no deputy and no way to contact StarClan. And guess whaaaat the code has changed, the very rule that got Mapleshade in trouble. Also it's been hinted that Finchlight (Nightheart's sister) is a possible villian. Kate keeps being suspicious about her character on BlogClan - so it's a possibility? Say if Finchlight was possessed by Mapleshade, with a deal or something? They are ironically both tortoiseshells, from ThunderClan. Also leadership may change in the clans, depending on how the story progresses. I also love the idea of a Darktail super edition. Perhaps, Darktail's revenge? Anyways, great video as always!

Ashfur was a good character and his story was complete after his death in “The Last Hope”. As someone who enjoyed Ashfur’s character up until that point it felt right that his story ended with him seeming to regret his decisions in Starclan and wanting to avoid trouble and probably visiting Ferncloud and his mother, Bristlefrost who each help him and spend time together as a family. With the “Broken Code” arc I feel as though the “Squirrelflight must pay” appearance of Ashfur from the fire scene was taken as his entire character and exaggerated to an extent just to make him the latest big bad. It’s like taking Bluestar and making her a villain because she lost her faith in Starclan/those around her and was slightly crazy which resulted in Brighthearts injuries and Swiftpaws death, and the writing team ignoring everything that happened outside that one incident and just going with it. If they wouldn’t do that to her or any other character you can use as an example why Ashfur? What makes him so special to get this treatment? I know he wasn’t a good cat and was flawed but why was he turned into a villain when his whole character arc was completed. And this isn’t a 1-time incident for the writing team either, Frecklewish is also getting badly treated even though she is genuinely innocent of everything unlike Ashfur who did do some actually bad things things and yet she is possibly going to be a “worse” villain the he was.

Super long hot take: Warriors is never going to end as long as Harper Collins still exists. They have replaced the writers so many times they aren’t afraid to do it again as the writers retire. Warriors has made them so much money that there’s no way they’d give it up. Warriors is the SpongeBob of fiction books. Where it’s so popular even if the quality plummets people will still read because well, it’s Warriors. People will be reading it forever, so Harper Collins will demand more. The story quality and writing quality will die. The story will continue until everybody stops reading it. But same thing with SpongeBob, even if a large majority of the community openly say that it should end or it’s awful now and only first four arcs were ever good. But people will still read it and Harper Collins will still be making money so the series will continue. That’s the difference between Warriors and Wings of Fire. Wings Of Fire will end, Tui will be the only writer forever. But Warriors will keep going and going until it makes no money. Warriors will continue but fade inti the background and only the older arcs will be remembered as actually good. So warriors will be SpongeBob and Wings of Fire will be the favored series because it has a “hand-made” feel to it and not a “mass-produced” feel like Warriors and Wings of Fire will become more popular the more books warriors makes. Tui has stated that she currently has no plans for another arc but it could happen. Tui right now is focusing on patching plot holes before she accidentally makes more with more main arc books. Warriors doesn’t care enough for this instead they try to patch plot holes but make contradictions. (Looks at Redtail’s death, the most contradicted event in warriors in my opinion) So in one book Oakheart was killed by Redtail according to Ravenpaw and that’s how it is in Redtail’s debt then Ravenpaw changes his mind and Oakheart was killed by a rockslide. The most contradicted event in Wings of Fire in my opinion is deathbringer’s age, which Tui clarified as a mistake and tried to fix it unlike the Erins with Redtail’s death. So this changed from why warriors will never end ti why wings of fire is better than warriors.

This series has such a special place in my heart and I really like that it’s still going on to be honest. I completely respect Funky’s comment but I disagree with it, if they don’t want to read it anymore that’s completely okay. But for some people it’s a huge part of their life that means so much. It’s a comfort series and my favorite series. Yes sometimes it can be silly or repetitive. But I see so much unseen potential. If anything I wish they would do a huge time skip ahead in time like how DOTC had this new cast, I want something like that for Warriors :) I know some people want it to be done and I respect that but I hope we get at least one more arc, maybe more?

Hot take: They start neglecting Jayfeather's character after the arcs he's a protagonist in.

In my opinion, sleekwhisker needs to come back in ASC. It would be so cool to see her team up with the alleged villain (Mapleshade) and eventually one of them betrays eachother (most preferably sleekwhisker betrays Mapleshade) and THEN I want a redemption arc for Mapleshade, she deserved so much better, mabye she and her kits can have another chance and get reborn as new cats and that could be the main protag for the next series??? Wild idea that I came up with but I’d really love to see it

perhaps a mildly lukewarm take: i believe mapleshade is overused by the series, though i know she isn't the only cat i could say that about. she's a popular character, and for a good reason. i understand that she was supposed to manipulate the descendants of appledusk, but at this point she's appeared in goosefeather's curse, tigerclaw's fury, oots and tbc. i think one of the only times i liked her presence was in crookedstar's promise. in tigerclaw's or goosefeather's books, she's just kinda there, lol

I've been looking through the comments and I agree with a lot of people, I don't really want the series to end. I want them to take a different turn, or something that could capture our interests in the series again. Like dawn of the clans for example! I've never met anyone who hates that arc. The fact that the writers got a new clean slate with lore and characters made the stories so much better. Perhaps there could be something like that, maybe there could be some sort of thing or lost clan that allows new characters. Maybe some of the cats could have powers again, since Power of three was so interesting and filled with great lore that allowed the fandom to make so many animatics and MAPs. Just my thoughts!

I disagree with some of those comment as I don’t think the series is repetitive as each arc and story is different/unique from each other even if some aspects appear in multiple books. Even for the aspects that are similar I don’t that that ruins the books or is that noticeable. I want the series to continue as long as it can as long as there are stories to tell. I’m not against having a conclusion but even if it would there are still stories to tell even if side stories. In terms of a rest I don’t think it is necessary to kill all of the leaders and medicine cats (which idk if it could be done all at once) instead you could have a time skip to have stories in the future while still having them in the present. Though I’m not against having new leaders and medicine cats as that does mix things up Also the first few books of the prophecy begins arc are very good though I agree that forest of secrets is when it starts to pick up in some aspects but I disagree that into the wild and fire and ice are mediocre personally as they add a lot to the story. I also don’t mind traveling books I also didn’t mind Sasha but she has flaws Idk which villain is my favorite as there are many good ones

The analysis and critique of children’s media is very important, and I feel should be done more often, because regardless of author intent, our stories- any story, fiction or not- affects our perception of reality. Warriors has a major issue when it comes to sexism, xenophobia, domestic violence/abuse, and more. What do you think children pick up on? Yes, they are silly cat books, but what those books say and teach are important.

Hot take i really like some plots about fobiden romance like have emphaty to another clan felt alone in your own. Or just that sufering that you cant be with the cat you love

not sure if this hot take was made, but I want a super edition or arc of books that take place in Cloudstar's pov and talk about the hardships and dangers that came with leaving the forest territories and moving to the gorge. I want to see the story play out with the first rats that killed ancient skyclan, I want to see Skywatcher and his siter when they were kits, and hear the stories their mother told them about SkyClan's time in the gorge before being broke up. I know we got mentions of how Skyclan was destroyed before Firestar brought it back together, but I think an arc surrounding that and detailing that time and that journey would be a neat thing to see.

I appreciate I’m late to the party. But hot take (I think?): Warriors has a problem of bringing back villains/ plot threats that are well past their expiration date (Spoilers ahead). A great example of this is the Dark Forest. I thought the point of Omens was to put an end to the Dark Forest. And at first, I thought warriors was staying true to that, yes they had an appearance in Crowfeather’s Trial but they were barely a threat, they just tormented Crowfeather a bit and that was that. And then the broken code happened. When Darktail showed up I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. I get it’s all in the same universe but do we seriously have to have the bad guy killed only for them to comeback 1 arc later? It sets a bad precedent… with tigerstar and Brokenstar (and others) it was easier to justify since it was foreshadowed… at this point I’m surprised that Scourge hasn’t come back with an army of dead kittypets! I swear, if that happens…

I think it’s good that the prophecies begin wasn’t perfect. Honestly that’s the only way they got better.

8:10 video is so old but I have to say I'm pretty sure she (the Erin) was talking about Tigerstar 1 (Tigerclaw) when answering this even though the question was about Tigerstar 2 (Tigerheart). Her response fits him a lot better than it could ever fit Tigerheart so she probably misread the question.

Hot take: I like background charecters we don’t know much about them but when we do get that deep dive into there character (like if they got a novella or super edition) we see that these cats are actually very well developed (goosefeather) in the main series you might not like that character but once you see their point of view you understand them u empathize with them (like before crookedstars promise I didn’t know who shellheart was but now he’s one of my favorites just because he stood up to rainflower and didn’t favor any of his sons more than the other) Hot take 2: I like twig branches name I think it sort of represents how she reached out to violetshine and how she brought sky clan back sort of connecting them to the other clans also sort of representing her family tree as it is also connected from sky clan a clan where they climb trees a lot also violet shines mate being called TREE and their kid ROOTspring Hot take 3: I think one eye was the best villain seeing how his actions affected his kin (starflower) and honestly I loved seeing the effect this had on cats like starflower who knew what her father had done but she still loved him and she couldn’t help that and honestly I love that I feel it is somehow relatable I guess that feeling where u know someone you love has done this but u can’t help still loving them (and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like starflower that much not because of who she is it’s because I HATE the love triangle ITS SO GROSS but I love her as a manipulative flawed character I think some of us can see ourselves in)

I still believe that arc 8 has to bring the end of original timeline. The 9th and 10th arc can focuss on the arc 5 timeline or others. There is always a place for spin offs

Others might say it’s just coincidence, but due to a lot of evidence I completely believe it’s atleast inspired. Though I haven’t read tailchaser’s song fully, I’ve read snippets here and there and plan on fully reading it soon. All the TL;DRs will be in bold. This is an excerpt from a Reddit thread btw - *Both Tailchaser and Firepaw are red tabby kittens who go on an adventure and become legendary heroes.* - *In both books, cats live in clans.* Tailchaser and Pouncequick are from the Meeting Wall clan while Roofshadow is from the Forest-Light clan; other clans exist but aren't named. Warriors has five main clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ShadowClan, and SkyClan. - *They have similar naming schemes.* In Warriors, Clan cats have combined names like Fireheart, Bluefur, Tigerclaw, and Spottedleaf. Here are two hot takes - I feel like warriors should slow down making there books, at this point they are just spitting them out. As soon as *a broken code* finished, they released the new series! Two- we need more she-cat antagonists and protagonists! We only have a few she-cats that’ve had a view in the main series! And out only villains are Mapleshade, and Sleekwhisker!

My hot take is that if the warriors series wants more steam we need a hard reset. New threat that takes out a majority of cats until a new solution is found. Aka, we need a rabies epidemic solved by reaching out to kittypets to get medicated food dropped in for a cure. It would wipe out so many from each clan that the culture wold have to change. It would even make sense as the last arc in the current territory- the gathering place is a lake, so rabid cats wouldnt cross over and harm survivors; and who would want to stay after a calamity like that? Let the next arc be finding a new home, then time skip into a new ruleset and culture- the pre plague cats are legendary in the same way the cats look at big cats and star clan now.

I kind of want to see someone write a book or some narritave that has the names of the characters be the porunciations of the abriviations of the arcs. like at 9:34, AVOS would be such a cool name for someone.

Hot take, the first arc didn't have a trio, and if it did it wasn't FireStar, GrayStripe, and RavenPaw. FireStar was really the only main character in the first arc, GrayStripe might be considered a secondary character at best. If we do consider it a trio it would be FireStar, GrayStripe, and SandStorm. Not RavenPaw. He barely appeared in the first arc, and even in the first book he wasn't all that much of a main character, he was used more as a plot device then an actual character. Compare that to SandStorm, who was a main player from around the middle of book one on and had a much bigger role and impact on the story and FireStar then GrayStripe or RavenPaw. RavenPaw was barely even seen in or after the first book, he wasn't even all that good of friends with FireStar and GrayStripe, they barely talked and didn't spen that much time together. I just think SandStorm is a little unfairly snubbed when talking about main characters in the first arc, she could easily be considered one but no one really mentions her.

Just to let you know, at least on AO3 (which has the best and most fine-tuned tagging system of any fanfic archive I've ever seen), you can blacklist tags for characters, relationships, and certain things you don't like in your fanfiction. The tags are meant to act as a warning label or ingredient list for you, and if you find something you personally don't like, you can ignore it or add the thing you have contention with to your tag blacklist. If you're personally uncomfortable with... idk, LongFire or the implications brought about by a loner who's an apprentice-aged queen, you can block the appropriate tags. And it's not like Tumblr (and maybe Twitter idk) where Longtail X Firestar, Fireheart X Longtail, and Longtail x Fireheart are all separate tags that you have to individually blacklist, AO3 wrangles all three of those under the same umbrella tag so when you block the tag, you truly block *everything* relating to the thing you don't like (unless if it's untagged, but AO3 thankfully has a good crowd around it that'll usually tag when applicable or nicely asked for). Also! AO3 just released a brand new blocking system so if you've noticed a bunch of fanfics you don't really care for are made by the same author, you can just block them so their other works don't end up in your search results. Likewise, if there are assholes harassing you from your social media for... idk, thinking TallJake and MothPool are cute, you can block them before they start sending you death threats or other unsavory messages. AO3 operates by a more old-school philosophy of fandom engagement called "don't like, don't read" and "it's up to you to curate your online experience", which, thanks to its extensive and well-managed tags, you are absolutely allowed to. If there's a dead dove on that fanfic label, don't eat it if you don't think you'll like it. This causes friction with newer folks in fandom who assume fandom to be a minor-friendly space by default (where you must remove anything not minor-friendly through violent means) and not a dangerous place by default that you have to curate for your minor-friendly space. And with Warriors being a middle grade series and the majority of its online fans being teenagers, that's somewhat understandable at least for the uncomfortable age gaps to be kept out of the main tags (#warrior cats and #wc) on Tumblr and Twitter, so you'd have to go out of your way to find that stuff, which means it'd be harder for a kid to stumble into. And if you don't like AO3 openly hosting stuff like this, you can always go back to Fanfiction .net which *doesn't* allow this (in theory), so you'll find the unsavory works sprinkled along *with* the innocent stuff, so instead of having them laid out in the open in their own spot, they're now lying in wait! Also their tagging system isn't as robust as AO3's so you've got that to contend with. Excuse me for my cheek here in the end, but I feel it's necessary for Warriors fans to learn fandom history (lest we be doomed to repeat it) and know what is and isn't appropriate behavior for finding works you either don't like at best or find triggering at worst.

Warriors hot take: I want to see more of starclan. I know some people dislike starclan but personally I’ve never really minded that. Sure they could be better at giving prophecies and could be better at punishments but I actually find them really interesting. I want a book (or part of a book atleast) to see a cat live in Starclan. I wanna see what it’s like. The most we saw of this was in The last hope, aLiTM (at the end), Squirrelflight’s hope, and some prologues. Even if it’s only a short story or a only one chapter I still wanna see more of it! Maybe at the end of Onestar’s confession like maybe he confesses to what he’s done? Or maybe if Frostpaw only gets signs of death we could see her ascend to Starclan! (Highly doubt that would happen tho)

Hot take; Warriors should have ended after The New Prophecy...They didn't need to introduce the hell training thing in the POT. From DOTC To TNP. Is a perfect sum up..We get to see the next generation of all our fav protags startinv new we don't actually need to see what happened.. Now I still like the new books, but they don't seem like cat books, they aren't Warrior books..Just books about cats,...

Bluestar was very annoying in book 2 and 3 of TPB, she ignores that tigerclaw is dangerous even though he acts every similar to thistleclaw AND HAS SEEN HIM TRY TO KILL A KITTEN like what the heck bluestar?!? I like bluefur and bluestar in her last living books tho and bluestar in the 1st book was ok (bad mentor tho) but those two books are rough for her. don't know if this is really a hot take but, i wish they had done a timeskip after arc 4. the last hope would've been a perfect way to end that era. all the first/second arc cats could've grown old and die in piece (and some long retired in the elder's den), and start with an entirely new cast. it would've made arc 5 actually accessible to new readers.

I read A Vision of shadows but I don't remember what even happened in any of those books.

It looks as if it's going in the direction I want it to though, I want bramblestar to be deemed unfit to be leader and forced to step down. Hot take: i have an idea. Maybe for the last book of a starless clan, scourge's spirit comes back and recruits semi-evil cats. Like, berryheart and ivypool and basically every dark forest trainee and tries to become the leader of ThunderClan. If not maybe bloodclan will come back and get revenge for their leader's death death and will haunt every single descendant of him. (Kinda like mapleshade's vengeance.)

Right so I'm going to do a bit of a deep dive into what I like about warriors so much and what I want to see in the future. I really badly dont want warriors to end. It gives me so much nostalgia and I love the fact that the actual concept is so simple but they can do so much with it. ( yes the plots are getting a bit more surreal) but that's also a cool thing because if the series where more focused on the realism of the situation it would get boring. I would love it also if after a starless clan we could get a series where we have povs from Windclan, Riverclan, Shadownclan, Slyclan and not Thunderclan. Tbh we known to much about Thunderclan now. We know the clans territory we know all the cats in the clan and I would love it if we got a pov from background characters in windclan, since we dont see them much, especially after AVOS. Also, even though AVOS was a bit of a mess after the first three books. I generally think it wasnt that bad. Yes the whole thing with skyclan was stressful with them coming and leaving again. Al least when we were in Violetshines POV we weren't in the a territory or camp we knew much about. So it was left to the readers imagination. Also Needletail is one of my favourite characters. Also I would love it if we could see a background character that has been underused get a position of power. Like for example, Bramblestar finally dies and of course squirrelflight. (Although it would have been cool to get her as leader) she is to old so she backs down from the position and gives it to a character like Icewing or Cinderheart or another female background character. Because tbh we need another female leader and Thunderclans last female leader was Bluestar.

Not so hot take: I stopped reading by the second book of 4th arc, it got so confusing and non sensical I just can't tolerate it anymore. I also hate Ivypool, she has acted so entitled since the very start to be the best ever and any tiny success Dovewing had was immediately crushed and destroyed with hate by her. I also hate how they gave Jayfeather a romantic interest that he has to "choose" which life he wants and the fact they are reincarnated from 3 ancient cats..? Like, it gives no interesting plot points, it makes no difference in the story and I feel like the romance part in Jayfeather's arc just changes his whole journey in an instant (he was never romantic nor was he ever interested in having kits and the fact he randomly has that desire in like 1/2 books for appearently no reason is annoying to say the least)

Adding on to the Dovewing comment, I personally believed/believe she should be leader of Shadowclan. That’s where I wanted Tigerhearts death to go in his super edition. At least him making her deputy for her commitment, strength, and trust in her clanmates (Puddleshine) in bringing him to the Moonpool. Dovestar for the win!

My hot take doesn't have as much to do with the newest arc, but with Starclan (spoiler warning for up to the most recent book) So, you know how they mentioned the Ancients? I think they are the deceased Starclan cats. But, if they choose they want to live again, they can come back as living cats but have no memory (so they're not like Cinderpelt). So, Spottedleaf and Tigerstar could've come back as someone currently living, we just don't know it bc they don't know it and Starclan doesn't even know it. My little headcanon is that Spotfur’s kits could be Bristlefrost (specifically Bristlekit) and Ashfur reincarnate (specifically Greykit). Also, my favorite ship has got to be Jayclaw and Curlfeather. You never see it, but you see its effects

I would agree with the sentiment not to take this wacky cats living in the woods book too seriously or to analyze it, if it weren't for the fact that sometimes it has such toxic messages that the kids reading this could take it consciously or unconsciously and it could make an actual damage. The first books, yes, they were just cats fighting and killing each other in the woods, but now you run into direct ableist messages, they got to touch on issues like sexism and harassment, and sometimes they handle these very badly, and again children could read these books , and sticking with a bad message, if it didn't get to take such strong themes in such a bad way, I don't think it would be necessary for people to analyze or criticize it.

Not a hot take, but definitely something that would be awesome to see a entire video dedicated to it: Starclan is pure evil. They set up cats to suffer and fail, even trying to punish them for their sins that THEY created and prophesied, while putting a halo on themselves to paint themselves as the truly perfect afterlife. Speaking of afterlife, they leave cats in the Dark Forest to suffer for some of the dumbest reasonings. Cats from the Dark Forest try to redeem themselves, like a few of them had done during the Broken Code arc, and Starclan rubs it in their face that they will suffer forever in darkness and loneliness, even if they truly are sorry and wish to redeem themselves in any way possible. It is apparently canon now that the Dark Forest corrupts cats into a twisted, vindictive mindset and Starclan knows this. They send cats into a Hell that some don't even deserve to suffer in and know that they will be corrupted into the perfect monsters they make them out to be. Don't even get me started on their sexism, which is proven with two different cases that we know about. The cats who wronged Mapleshade are all left unpunished, except for one, a she-cat, punished for...what exactly? We don't even know. Then there's the trial with Squirrelflight and Leafpool, where they're lectured and ridiculed for sins that weren't even their fault for the most part. Squirrelflight was told by STARCLAN to take the kits in. Meanwhile, Onestar is let into Starclan despite doing the same exact thing (actually, way worse than what the sisters do because he covers it up and abandons a kit and his mother because he can't admit his wrongdoing). Starclan curses cats like Goosefeather to suffer for their entire life, but will pretend to have 'no idea' as to how this all happened. They're clueless yet can see the future. In my opinion, Starclan is the true enemy of the warrior cats and needs to be stopped. There's so much more supporting these claims that I wish I could see a video doing a deep dive into it all. We just say Starclan is bad and forget about it all afterwards, but it is madness to me that Starclan is adored by the clans with all this knowledge. Starclan dooms cats to die for them so cats won't finally get rid of them, like the ending of Broken Code shows us. There is nothing redeeming about Starclan.

Hot take but I never liked grey stripe. he was an ok apprentice but then when he met sliverstream he became way worse He ignored his friend advice and kept on dating her even no it was against the code.And he neglected to train his apprentice Brackenfur and made firestar train him. Ok I did feel sad for him when his mate died but then when he was in river clan he rat ha ha then to firestar giving their secret information.Then just let thunder clan take sunning rocks there our territory and didn’t even try to attack the thunder clan cats taking there territory.Then when he was captured he was taken to nice twoleg that let him talk and play with whoever he wanted so let’s go into his thoughts. Quick thing abt mine I didn’t read tigerstar’s shadow and I hated vos which mean I did a 50/50 skim or forgot a lot of stuff But now for the hot take I hate VoS. All of it. I hate the characters too. Twig ranch wasn’t that bad I hated violetshine and alder was boring. Anyways not related but ima rant abt this arc now I hate violetshine. Regardless of her and twig’s relationship being similar to ivy and dove it’s bad. She just bullying her sister. Gets away with it. And then makes a family. I can’t remember why but violet did/said something and I threw thunder and shadow at a wall. She had no reason to be so mean to twig. At least ivy was manipulated plus she had no clue why dove was getting “special treatment” or lying to her (I’m not justifying her but still). Violet and non. Other then to be a d***.I hated that arc. Also did you delete this and reupload.

Ok so- Might just be a me thing, or at least my opinion- I do not like Maple'Shade. Like, from what I've heard and the snippets I've read from the book, she seems like a cool narrator as she's unreliable. She's a villain ofc her pov will be unreliable! I like that though, that's cool. But as a character, I do not like her. She's mean and rude and tbh, entitled (I say entitled as she believes that Starclan and the warrior code will basically bend over backwards for her and she'd get away without punishment.). Like, it's even her own fault her kits drowned. She knew it was dangerous to use the stepping stones, but went on them anyways when she could've taken them across the bridge! (I'm pretty sure it's been built by this point, so she could've not killed her children by taking them across the bridge-) But yeah, I don't like Maple'Shade as a character much.

I personally feel like (idk if this is a hot take but whatever. More like add on to the first comment ig) the series..just needs to finish. I absolutely HATED VOS and didn’t enjoy BrokenCode. I painfully got through brokencode but couldn’t finish VOS. I found every single character absolutely so unlikeable or annoying (if you liked the characters cool) but it feels like the series has been dragging on for long enough. The ideas are interesting but all the charm is lost the more you beat the bush. I’m a huge Warriors fan believe me I’ve read almost all the books and own them. But I just personally want to see the series come to a close. I haven’t even bothered getting the new series because of what I know so far about it. I love this series and always will, I agree the newer series does have it charm still here and there. But I feel like it’s been going on long enough. Just..please let it rest
