I can't even imagine how it feels, so thank you so much for sharing it so openly. Whatever you decide in terms of continuing vlogging, be sure that I'm coming back to your channel throughout my own grad school journey, which is already a bit more special because of your videos. There's this quote from a Brazilian author, Mario Sergio Cortella, which has helped me before and feels appropriate right now, so here is my translation attempt (hopefully it makes sense in English and is not too cheesy): "Roots are not anchors. Roots feed, anchors immobilize. Those who have anchors live only the nostalgia and never the saudade. Nostalgia is memory that hurts, saudade is memory that brings you joy." Saudade is a very special word in Portuguese that has no direct translation to English. It relates to longing or missing something really bad, but somehow that memory still makes you smile and feel grateful. I hope this whole journey for you is a big reason to feel saudade, and that the journey ahead gives you one thousand more reasons like that!
