Hi friends,
It's been a long time coming but here we are! I give my final PhD seminar - this is the very last time that I present my research in the faculty. IT'S WILD TO THINK ABOUT! I'm a week away from my PhD defence in this video and the stress levels are higghhhhh. Nojoud defends her PhD and becomes DR. AL FAYEZ! A very emotional video. Hope you enjoy 💕
My name is Anne 😊 I'm a FINAL year PhD student at UBC. I do research in the field of drug delivery and nanomedicine. Ahhh I got emotional when Nojoud started crying 😭🤣 congrats Nojoud!!! This was such a lovely vlog and the gift you got from the faculty was so thoughtful. Is the dean Scottish by any chance?!? I thought I could hear an accent ahaha. Also Dr. Li putting you in the spot about your KZfaq channel 🤣🤣 good luck again for your defence eeeek

ya I was more emotional for Nojoud's defence than my own LOOOL YES HE IS HAHA I believe he's from Glasgow! omg Dr. Li has announced my channel a bunch of times and I die a little on the inside every time 🤣🤣

You’re not allowed to stay beside Nojoud while she doing her defence?? Edit: nvm I guess it makes sense so she doesn’t get distracted lol & I’m surprised the defence is still being done on zoom 😳🤔 and congrats to you both for getting your PHD!!!!
