This location is truly the definition of everything left behind. Throughout our adventure we discover countless amazing finds including a fully stocked pharmacy and emergency room, multiple surgical suites and even patient blood samples. Girl I love your channel but PLEASE WEAR GLOVES! Touching that test tube with bare hands was dangerous, blood borne pathogens are a real thing, you gotta be more careful dude we don’t want either of you to get sick! Love y’all!

in retrospect i do realize that wasn’t my finest use of critical thinking! i do want to bring disposable gloves in my bag in the future so if i do want to give you guys a closer look at what we find i can do it while still protecting myself. i do appreciate the concern because its always better and smarter to play it safe🖤

Especially the pharmacy, that was interesting! I think they must have down tooled and left pretty much asap due to the bankruptcy. Eh just got to the pile of needles. Eep. The xrays must have been dug out and displayed by someone

Dang, lots of that big equipment, the beds, hoists, tubs could be donated and used in poorer countries. Those things are worth thousands.

The device in the PT room that you didn't know the name of is a Hoyer lift. Slings are put under bed bound patients who cannot move on their own or those who have a great deal of difficulty standing in their own. They are then hooked onto the arms of the lift. The lift is then used to transfer them to a Broda type chair, a bucket chair, a wheel chair, or another bed, etc. Hope this helps!

Super dangerous! Unless the whole thing is staged, they shouldn’t be rummaging through old test tubes and medical supplies with bare hands and a half-assed face mask. A place like that you need full respirators and heavy-duty glovesssssss.

a lot of times we don’t bring gloves along but i do realize that this is not the 100% safest approach and completely recommend gloves/ppe/full respirators to anyone who wants to avoid any harmful exposure to asbestos/black mold

@@UrbexMuse Unfortunately mold is the least of your worries ^^;. Those needles in the medication bottles are huge biohazards, and the ones lying on the tables next to the bottles could have very well been used. This type of content is great to see as it brings light to places and stories people have never heard of before but please put your safety first if you ever do something like this again

yeah sterility only lasts so long. even now if you autoclave something it only has a shelf life of a few months (maybe a year depending on what it is) even if its sealed and stored properly

The stand is called a HOYER lift.A canvas sling slides under the patient and it manually lifts the person in the air,you keep them in the sling until their over the desired location and you gently take lower them.

Understand abandoning because of debt but so many equipment could've been taken and used in other hospitals. I mean its expensive stuff, will never get why also why no bio hazard clean up or collection of dangerous medicines other hospitals or the state can jump in to relocate stuff, it is frustrating because now its too old/damaged.

I’m not a nurse or anything but I think the smaller hydrotherapy thing was to put your feet in maybe. My grandpa had something similar he used at physical therapy for his bad circulation because of his diabetes.

Seriously tho whoever left these items not disposed of properly need to be arrested and made to go clean up all of These medicines, needles and blood. I don't care if they went bankrupt this is a hazard. Nature is going to eventually start taking over and animals are going to roam this and can be seriously hurt or killed by the things in this hospital. The lack of concern for the environment and animal kingdom is astounding.

The stand in the physical therapy room is for elevating body parts. Like broken legs & such. That helped keep swelling down.

In the video at 4 minutes and 20 seconds that machine is a manual hoyer it does help get people out of a wheelchair into bed and Vice versa usually a sling would be placed under the person and connected to the points and then lift them up by cranking the stick to preferred hight

I get why you’re saying this is frustrating. But with the way the hospital is in the video it looks like the staff and patients had to be evacuated in a hurry. Something probably happened that caused them to leave all those supplies

there used to be an abandoned hospital like this close to my house, when they tore it down they found so many biohazard and people still refuse to buy the land where it was

It’s super sad that all the medical supplies were left behind bc it’s a waste but it also makes me sad to see stuff 1) thrown abt and most likely messed w by other ppl further contaminating possible supplies and 2) I’d assume medical staff wouldn’t have left open needles and such out on the tables and beds so most likely ppl were there and used the needles :( sooo dangerous that the hospital didn’t clean up and left possibly dangerous supplies Alsoooo 11:37 looks like a brain to me!

its unclear why they wouldn’t donate these items in the moment if they were still viable (however they cannot donate them now due to these items being exposed to mold/asbestos and also depreciating in value) but my best guess would be that the process of reallocating resources from this hospital would have been costly and not practical since they went under due to bankruptcy

Smaller looks like debridement tanks I had to endure with the 3rd and 2nd degree burns on arms etc. Had to hold limb in the swirling mix of bleach water and other chemicals to clean and clear dead tissue away to bring up fresh including the damn nerves.. Holy hell that is nightmare

It was abandoned due to having an excessive amount of debt and on top of that its in a very small rural town so they likely didn't have the means to clear it out properly.

It just makes me nervous, seeing some of those things just abandoned like that. 😬 I guess its probably not really a huge biohazard, and you guys do seem pretty careful which is good, but it worries me still. those bowls are usually for organ transplants. they either put the old organ into the bowl to later dispose of or it’s for the new organ to be prepped and ready to go into the patient or for transportation

its not clear exactly why but i believe the fact that they went under due to bankruptcy maybe meant that they lacked the financial resources to properly dispose of and reallocate any supplies
