The plaintiff says the defendant hired him to insulate her attic, and he and his guys did a great job. After the defendant paid by credit card, she disputed the charges, so he’s suing for what he’s owed. The defendant says she hired the defendant to get rid of a squirrel for $95, but she got a bill for $2,000. She’s countersuing for the amount she paid him.

Oh man, I had squirrels in my attic and they only came out on the weekends. I swear they were having a bowling party. They would roll something from the top, run down and get it, then go back to the top and roll it down again. It would have been funny if it wasn't a weekend and early in the morning. It took several tries before we were able to get all of the holes and get them out of the roof. Peace at last...
@JamieM470
@JamieM470 2 жыл бұрын
@@HenriettaMurray1NaNa If you put a radio or something to play loud music in the attic, squirrels hate that & they'll move out. More importantly, if they have a nest full of babies hidden in your attic, & you give them a few days of music, they will find another place to make a nest & move their babies there. That way when you seal up the squirrel door, you won't have baby squirrels dying & decomposing in your attic (or your walls).

She strikes me as the type of person to regularly take advantage of service providers… demanding charge backs and penny pinching her way out of bills she knowingly racked up. The fact that she wouldn’t pay $50 for the evidence required to win a $2000 lawsuit speaks for itself.

@@lisaparrey1343 I have had squirrels,if you haven't dealt with them then don't think you know what they do... I had them all over my yard, I seen them in the under eaves of my shed, I thought ok that's fine., Then I spent the winter feeding the birds peanuts and the squirrels would come and steal them. So I baked bread and fed it to the squirrels they took all of it,all winter long I did this. come spring and I go to clean out my shed ,and low and behold I have peanut,bread and accorns shoved into boxes and whatnot in my shed,I found the holes that I didn't know where they were getting through from the undereaves and plugged them up. They moved on and into my camper ,through a vent on the roof. I fixed that and then the squirrels went away for about a year, now they are back I don't know where they are ,but I assume my neighbors sheds. Anyway when you mess with their hide out ,like block an entrance,sometimes they take a spell to figure out a knew one. I believe that add she answered was a complete scam,$95.00 to get their feet in the door,and then hit them up for thousands of dollars not worth of work but deception.

I would be in such a huge argument with this defendant within the first five minutes of meeting her, regardless of where that would happen!! Just the way she speaks, even being condescending towards the Judge, makes my blood boil…. What a nasty, nasty attitude and what nasty, nasty arrogance…..! Yuk!

Exactly! He thought they were going to do a simple quick cleaning for that $100. Turns out they had to do a whole lot more work than that. And she still wanted to only pay them $100...actually she effectively got it for free by disputing the charge. The guy would do well do stop offering cheap services. Go for the real money!

@@tunisiancrochetchannel to be fair he did bait and switch her which is the main reason they advertise these unrealistic prices . $100 is about an hours work max . Anything less then that you have to start thinking about taxes - equipment- maintenance of your equipment- insurances - fuel - paying wages - health benefits blah blah blah . Again no business can survive so never even get suckered in by these low advertised prices .

I can understand her frustration in the sense you pay someone $3000 to keep the squirrels out. it takes some time and the squirrels found a new way in. that's just the way life goes. you'll have to pay someone else again.

Something else to think about is that the blow in insulation was treated with Asbestos to keep the fire hazard down and everyone knows what that will do to people. I use to do blow in insulation in the late 80s and early 90s. I have also lost 3 neighbours and my mom from that crap. I also noticed that she had Knob and Tube wiring that was outlawed in the 50s because of its fire hazard. It must of been a ghetto home built in the 40s.

Judge asked after the defendant said the squirrels where there the next day why did you wait a week before complaining and then the plaintiff said they weren't there everyday which made no sense because she said they were there the next day and day after so she did wait a week.

And there is no way she wouldn’t of picked up the phone and called. She is not telling the truth. If I just paid someone to get rid of the squirrels then less than 24 hrs later I heard them I would definitely call and let them know. Plus plaintiffs company sounds like a well run company and they would honor their work.
