Yeah, the villagers cannot leave, and they need to hunt, so they lure the prey to the village. This time, they got "a bit" more than they bargained for. Juroimoh took Vueko's place as a sage, after she got locked up.

Scratch what I said about this timeline being about decade, it's def hundreds of years, i just don't know how vueko lived this long since she's human

They mention that time moves differently in the town, so I think that she was trapped in an area that slowed her aging.
