I think when Skullz said that he hopes Adam gets another chance to come out front on the album, some of us started wringing our hands like a super villain.

Personally I consider “Descending” to be the best song on this incredible album. And the engineering is literally the best ever !!!!

The best song ever written next to lateralus easily 🌀It’s THE perfect song and I think of it as the wake up call to humanity

I didn’t really get this song at first. It actually took quite a few listens before it hit me. Then I came to the realization it’s one of the greatest songs of all time 🤷🏼‍♂️

Descending reminds me of a mature Aenima. “Hey, this is all a mess so let’s do something about it!” Also, this song live is an absolute monster on the highest level.

I always took the meaning of this song as hey, we're wrecking the planet with pollution and the threat of nuclear war and we need to wake up before it's too late. Oh, and one more thing...it's hard to tell on the album version but towards the end of the 1st instrumental, Danny stood up at the concert and smashed a huge gong behind him. It was my favorite moment from the show.

After listening a bunch, my favorite musical moment in the album is when MJK wails "RISE!" It feels so earned and necessary listening to the flow of the about to that point.

This one was a grower for me but as time has gone on it’s a must listen almost every day!!! Get ready for the next two tracks, Culling Voices & 7empest, two tracks you have never heard from Tool, but it’s so Tool
