Update: Can't find the Aeris 3 in 1? Here is an updated video on it's status: • Aeris 3 in 1 Update #2...
The Aeris 3 in 1 was scheduled to be back in North America in 2024.
It will have a name change and it will now be called the Klaara P7 Pro.
The Aeris 3 in 1 had an H13 HEPA filter but the Klaara is supposed to be upgraded to an H14 HEPA Filter.
It will be able to interact with the iRobot vacuum system, as well.
It will be interesting to see what other changes have been made and how it filters in comparison to the past - as the 3 in 1 already possessed elite particle filtration capabilities.

Hi. Thanks for the video. Have you had a chance to check/review/test the Dyson brand purifiers? Thanks

Thank you for your inquiry. I used to sell the Dyson Fan/air purifiers and I never really felt they were serious air purifiers. So, I had never recommended them to clients/customers. I've taken a look at the Dyson Big and Quiet - in some review videos and such (I don't have it - nor have I used it) and I think it is probably much better than their fan units for filtration. I actually like the look of the unit and I think the idea of the fan pushing the air around may be a good idea. I give them tremendous credit for "thinking outside the box" in the creation of the unit. They really tried hard on that one and it is a unique air purifier. I don't like the fact that the carbon component comes after the HEPA filter as I think you most always want the HEPA to come after the carbon to catch any carbon particles and prevent them for entering the air... and some of the best air purifiers put the HEPA last like IQAir, Aeris, Austin Air, Airpura, Camfil, etc. And I still don't think it will filter particles at an elite level like an IQAir HealthPro Plus. So, those are my initial thoughts without really having much experience with it... I may get it in the future - we'll see... Thanks!

Hey Yvonne - here is an update video on the product's availability from last week: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qJh1mruLy8mmf4E.html 1) The 3 in 1 is going to be called the Klaara P7 Pro. 2) Of note: someone made a comment on my channel last week they they were able to get the 3 in 1 units in Europe - IDK where you are located. 3) If you want great particle filtration that is similar to the Aeris 3 in 1/Klaara - then you could go with the IQAir HealthPro Plus which I currently would rate as the 2nd best to the 3 in 1/Klaara. amzn.to/3NIJ6Uq 4) Here is a review between the 2 units if you didn't already see it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNakfqxlu9Clcps.html&ab_channel=AirPurificationEducation

Thank you for your questions. I just changed out my Aeris 3 in 1 in my bedroom and put it in the family room and I put the IQAir HealthPro Plus in my bedroom as I think the Aeris unit became less effective for odors after 4 to 5 months. The IQAir HPP unit currently seems to be doing better for the odors and it has about twice the carbon of the Aeris unit. For MCS people - they need solutions with a lot of carbon... Yes, perhaps the Gas Pro unit would do a good job for MCS people but I don't have any first hand knowledge/experience of this... For MCS people, in general, I think I prefer they gravitate towards steel units like Austin Air or Airpura as they will tend to offgass less and I currently believe they may have less of a chance of irritating them. I think on the Austin Air product line the Bedroom unit can possibly do a great job - and maybe the Healthmate Plus unit may possibly be a good option... On the Airpura product line - they are carbon experts and they can tell you specifically what is best for your particular needs and even kinda customize a solution for you - which I think can oftentimes be the best option: www.airpura.com/pages/contact-us And you can also get a 10% discount with Airpura with coupon DZAIR10. Hope that helps - thanks! 👍

The manufacturer basically said it cannot be turned off while the unit is plugged in, sorry. ***Aeris Support: "I would like to inform you that the only way to completely turn off the control panel lights is to unplug the unit from the power source. However, this way, the air purifier will not be functioning. Nevertheless, you could still take advantage of the Night Mode feature, as enabling it will dim the light of the unit and will also add a whisper-quite ambiance that helps filter out other night noises." @@AirPurificationEducation thank you so much for checking. You’ve received a response faster than I have reaching out to iRobot. I’m not impressed by the customer service thus far. I ordered two of these units through iRobot and when submitting this question to iRobot, they refered it to the Aeris support team that has yet to get back in touch with me. These two units are definitely going back… if I can ever get a hold of someone to process a return. Truly disappointing. I had high hopes based on my relatively positive experiences with iRobot.

Hi, just wondering about the air quality sensor on these units. In your other video on sensors, you explain how anything short of super expensive lab grade equipment, which also requires routine maintenance, would likely be inaccurate. But here you seem to trust this sensor because the guy is from MIT. Do you trust this sensor or are you still taking it with a large grain of salt?
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. I will be learning more about testing equipment in the coming months and also about some of these testers. 1) I currently think - on the particle side it is hard for the vast majority of sensors on the market to do an accurate job of testing for smaller particles - esp. Ultra fine particles. And I think many of the testers may be affected by the temperature - the humidity and even the amount/speed of air flow hitting them... Either way, they are not able to tell us if the particles are mold or asbestos or some other more dangerous particle...and therefore, I see that as a big issue. For ex. 1 group of particle concentrations that may be the same general size as another group of particle concentrations may be composed of particles which are much more dangerous to us - than the other group... So, I'm not totally cool with - "it is this concentration of PM2.5 and we consider that to be Good"... How can they know when they don't even know what the particle concentrations are composed of? They can't. 2) There are supposed to be over 15,000 different chemicals that could potentially be in our air and no single sensor will be able to test for all of them. Plus, I've heard numerous times that it is even harder for sensors to test for TVOCs accurately than particles. And I've seen that different sensors that give readings for TVOCs have different testing 'criteria' so 2 different sensors may be providing readings on 2 different sets of TVOCs. So, it gets tricky, I think. 3) I will say I think it is possible there are some accurate CO2 monitors out there... and I'll learn more about this over time... 4) So, currently, I just want people to understand the limitations of the sensors on the market... a "GOOD" reading does not necessarily mean someone actually has "GOOD" air quality that is not affecting them in a negative way. No single sensor, currently, can read for all the potentially hazardous items in the air we breathe... 5) Yes, I love that the Aeris 3 in 1 was created by brilliant engineers from MIT and ETH Zurich. That said, do I think their sensor is foolproof and "perfect"? NO! - not at all. I have the 3 in 1 in my bedroom and I occasionally see the AQI reading it provides when I change speeds and it will generally go from 2 to 1 and back and forth... I really don't pay attention to it... 6) Plus, how relevant is the AQI reading on a machine vs. the air quality I am actually breathing 10 feet away from it? Is it telling me the air quality that is actually going into my nose and mouth while I sit at my desk 10 feet away - facing in the opposite direction? It may give a general reading for some particle concentrations in the air in the room - but it can't know exactly what I am breathing when I stir up the dust on my desk and carpet and the blinds on my window when it is 10 ft. away, IMO. Esp. on the ultrafine particle side... and what exactly is the TVOC composition that it is checking for? How many of the 15,000 plus chemicals is it actually accounting for? IDK... So, yeah, I agree with you - I do take it's reading's "with a grain of salt". Since the creators are brilliant - it may have a better AQI sensor than most of the air quality sensors on the market (at least on air purifiers) but their primary goal was to create a great filtering air purifier and they had investors (I think) so they couldn't just sit around for 5 years to try to make the "perfect" air quality sensor to go on the machine. At some point in time - they had to be like, "OK, this air purifier filters extremely well and the sensor is "good enough"... so, now, we gotta start selling it on the market to 'pay the bills'. LOL! 😄Right? That is what I am currently thinking. Thank you! 👍

I bought this product (3 in 1). I used it for a couple of months and it was good. I went away for a month and came back and swithed it on and it stank moldy. I contacted them and they told me that machine cant be switched off because it has carbon filter, switching it off causes nasty odour. This wasnt written in instructions. I spoke to their main office and complained but they didnt care. So I have this machine in my basement now, spent 1000fr on it, I can see it is on sale now (70%) off. If they gave proper information at first I wouldnt buy it. There is some problem there in that company, they dont give answers because they dont have them
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 5 ай бұрын
Wow - That is ridiculous! Turning off an air purifier for a period of months should not make the carbon filter smell bad later... I don't think but, maybe I could be wrong. I do know some air purifier companies have said that if the units sit in a warehouse for a while and they are exposed to smoke or a strong odor... they can absorb the odor and then release it when they are eventually used. So I don't completely know. I'm currently running 7 air purifiers in my home... But, I guess I've never really purchased an air purifier and ran it... and then didn't run it for months. I do think my Aeris instructions said to run the unit all the time but I don't think they explained that the filter could smell if I didn't. They should explicitly state that in their instructions. I think the original company Aeris probably provided better customer service than iRobot. They were really good folks with their hearts in the right place. But, things change when a company gets acquired. And I found that the folks in iRobot really didn't know much about the Aeris solutions in my few interactions with them. They were probably much more focused on their vacuum solutions. I suppose a filter replacement would remedy the problem. Thanks for the feedback - I'll def. not be turning my unit off! 👍

@@AirPurificationEducation Thank you so much for your detailed responses🙏it truly means a lot & I’m just about to catch up with the amazing info you provided😊it will take me a little bit to review everything since I’m just learning more about this topic but my selective hyperfocus is already kicking in 😉 so far I researched the purifier you suggested in regards to allergies and read quite a few reviews on amazon regarding the products suggested by you 🙂 I wonder if amazon may sell refurbished or used products sometimes without listing them as used 🤔 because the purifiers’ reviews fluctuated/differed so drastically.. I read a lot of the critical reviews and they mentioned chemical smells etc. So much so in regards to some purifiers that I’m now a little hesitant.. I was considering the allergy purifier that were a little less expensive (still somewhat expensive though) but even the expensive ones had a lot of critical reviews on Amazon. One brand in particular was not meeting the Calif (and possibly some other states) air purifier regulations - I’m not sure what specifically was the reason for it in particular..🤔 The Aeris one would have been my first choice, so I really hope that it will be released again in the US very soon 🙏 My 2nd choice was the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH True HEPA Air Purifier (with Air Quality Monitoring, Auto Mode, Timer, Filter Indicator, Eco Mode) but when I read the critical reviews on Amazon a lot of people were complaining about the strong chemical smell etc..🙁 Then my 3rd choice,based on your suggestions in correlation to price, was the: IQAir Atem Desk Air Purifier for Home, Office, Desktop, Small Room up to 300 sq ft, HyperHEPA Filter But again I read the critical reviews 👀and then hesitated to order it (yet) due to the relatively high price in correlation to the reviews.. My 4th choice was the: BLUEAIR Air Purifier Large Room, Air Cleaner for Dust Pet Dander Smoke Mold Pollen Bacteria Allergen, Odor But similar concern again.. Then last I was considering the bigger size Leviot…: LEVOIT Air Purifiers for Home Large Room Up to 3175 Sq. Ft with Smart WiFi, PM2.5 Monitor, 3-in-1 Filter Captures Particles, Smoke, Pet Allergies, Dust, Alexa Control, Core600S/Core 600S-P, White What do you think of that one - honestly..? 🤔 Supposedly it’s better than the small version 🤔 Oh and I do have the WINIX but I feel I may have got scammed with that one too since it does not suck in any air in the front and even when I spray strong perfume right in front of it the color bar does not change (but is supposed to) and even after years the hepa filter still looked super clean no dust etc accumulated but in the apartment around air “purifier” was dust everywhere 🤔😉 In other words: I’m very confused now 🥺😉
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 2 ай бұрын
1) "Oh and I do have the WINIX but I feel I may have got scammed with that one too since it does not suck in any air in the front and even when I spray strong perfume right in front of it the color bar does not change (but is supposed to) and even after years the hepa filter still looked super clean no dust etc accumulated but in the apartment around air “purifier” was dust everywhere" 1A): If you are talking about the Winix 5500 - it is a good unit for the money... and I've received strong feedback on it from many folks over the years. It should be used in smaller rooms, though. 1B)" it does not suck in any air in the front" - My Winix 5500 has openings in the front so I do think air is getting pulled in the front of the unit - maybe you have a different unit? Either way, the air will circulate in the room regardless so long as the cubic footage is reasonable… and that is the big issue - at least 3 air exchanges per hour… IMO. I get at least 5 an hour in my bedroom because I am a big fan of “Supersizing” the solution for my cubic footage. 1C) "I spray strong perfume right in front of it the color bar does not change (but is supposed to)" - I don't think any of the air quality sensors on the air purifiers are super accurate so I don't pay attention to any of them. And I recommend consumers to not pay attention to them either. If we are using a $160 air purifier - how good can the air quality sensor be? Not very accurate, for sure. I actually made a video of 2 air quality sensors and they disagreed with each other on the air quality level in the same room over 80% of the time: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNN5gJyXu9e2fo0.html So, I think the vast majority of air quality sensors are probably not super accurate and therefore, the inexpensive sensors on the inexpensive air purifiers are going to be even less accurate, IMO - , as well. I pay them no mind and I think consumers should totally disregard them when considering which solutions to invest in. You can look at this post to see some of the variables that will affect the accuracy of the sensors... airpurificationeducation.com/dylos-dc1100-pro-vs-temtop/ 1D) “even after years the hepa filter still looked super clean no dust etc accumulated but in the apartment around air “purifier” was dust everywhere” IDK about this one… because we can only see particles that are 10 microns and larger in size so we shouldn’t necessarily see a bunch of dust on the HEPA filter.. That visible dust will typically get filtered by the prefilter… and I opened up an IQAir HealthPro Plus after more than 5 years of use and it looked brand new inside the unit… the HEPA looked new, as well… because the prefilter was taking out the larger particles 10 microns and above - we can’t see the smaller stuff with the human naked eye. 2) “LEVOIT Air Purifiers for Home Large Room Up to 3175 Sq. Ft with Smart WiFi, PM2.5 Monitor, 3-in-1 Filter Captures Particles, Smoke, Pet Allergies, Dust, Alexa Control, Core600S/Core 600S-P, White What do you think of that one - honestly..?” levoit.com/products/core-600s-smart-true-hepa-air-purifier?_pos=2&_psq=600s&_ss=e&_v=1.0 2A) Doesn’t even have a True HEPA filter in it - just like the Core 300… and ½ their product line… (I counted 11 of the 22 units they make don’t have HEPA filters in them). Will it cover 3,175 sq.ft? No - won’t really even get a single, true air exchange in that sized space. 2B) “Smart WiFi, PM2.5 Monitor” - not good selling points in my opinion - none of the units - esp. $250 units have super accurate monitors… they are just trying to sell/market tech… like many other companies. 2C) Will it help “improve the quality of air” in a smaller space like 500 sq. ft with 8 foot ceilings - yes, most all air purifiers will “improve” the air quality in a space if sized correctly… it just depends on what level of filtration we are willing to invest in. 2D) But is it Elite filtration like IQAir - Airpura - Aeris? No… it is an “also ran” solution. 3) “I read a lot of the critical reviews and they mentioned chemical smells” Yes, there are a lot of chemically sensitive people in the world who will smell something coming from an air purifier.. And yes, sometimes air purifiers will have a chemical smell to them - esp. when first opening them… but oftentimes the odor will dissipate within 48 hours… so sometimes it depends on the person and other times people just get a “bad” unit. But this is true for all industries… I’ve seen owners of brand new $100,000 Porsche sports cars doing videos showing smoke coming up from the floor boards of their new cars… no manufacturer is perfect 100% of the time. Thanks!👍 @@IntegrityMeansAll

The way that filter just dropped in has me concerned about dust bypassing around the filter. Is that an issue with this?
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 4 ай бұрын
Fantastic Question! No, it is not an issue for this solution. The guys who made this Aeris 3 in 1 unit were very high level engineers. They emulated the airflow and filter position of the IQAir HealthPro Plus - which has been on the market for over 20 years and I consider to be an elite air purifier solution for particle filtration. Several companies through the years have tried to copy the HPP's general design and airflow... or put a twist on it... but the vast majority of them were not able to equal it's superior particle filtering capabilities. The Aeris team is one of the few that tweaked the design and actually improved the overall particle filter performance + simultaneously increase the airflow... they were able to do this only because they are brilliant engineers. Part of the brilliance behind their approach is they fully leveraged gravity to help create a very strong seal between the filters and the inside of the air purifier. I will eventually make a video comparing the seals between 8 or so different air purifiers and I'll definitely be including the Aeris 3 in 1 seal in that discussion as it is one of the best.

Yeah, here is an updated video on the Aeris 3 in 1 status for the US if you didn't already see it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qJh1mruLy8mmf4E.html&ab_channel=AirPurificationEducation Aeris also manufactured a smaller unit that I called "the Bedroom" unit... Officially, it was called the "Aeris Lite"... It filtered particles at almost the same level as the 3 in 1 unit but it retailed for only about $400 and was an amazing - less expensive - option for particle filtration for bedrooms, IMO. However, iRobot does not seem to currently be interested in manufacturing it... which is absolutely HORRIBLE! I hope they add it to their future plans. You already possess a fantastic unit. The HPP is ELITE for ultrafine particle filtration... I currently run a HPP in my family room. I do not have direct experience with the MA-112 but I have looked at it in the past and I don't think there is any way it can filter ultrafine particles as well as the HPP: 1) The carbon filter comes after the HEPA which will enable some carbon to enter into the air. We always want the HEPA to come after the Carbon filter. 2) The IQAir HPP is EN1822 certified and the first residential air purifier to ever obtain this certification and it doesn't look like the MA-112 has this 3rd party certification. It does have various certifications that I see on their website... but... there is no way that unit will perform as well as a HPP after 3 months of use when the filters start to get dirty... And there is a lot of "underhanded" stuff going on in the industry when it comes to these 3rd party testing labs... IQAir obtained theirs from 3rd party labs in Germany and (Switzerland, I believe)... most of the certifications for the Medify are from Chinese 3rd party labs and I currently have reason to believe the integrity of some of the 3rd party Asian labs- is in question. 3) The filters in the Medify are inserted in a perpendicular manner to the floor which typically makes it challenging to create a great seal. The HPP def. has a world class seal between the filters and the interior of the unit... Last I checked, the average electricity cost in the US for 2024 was about 16.19 cents per kilowatt hour. Does your electricity cost a lot more than this? If yes, can you say what state you live in? I'm in GA. and we're at about 14 cents per kilowatt hour. Thanks. @@Scottyman99

@@AirPurificationEducationMaine has around 16 cents k/hr. Regarding seals--In your Coway Airmega 400 review you mentioned it not being good for fine particles and it didn't even meet the HEPA standard. Is that because of the dust leaking past the seals or are the filters of poor quality or both? I was thinking of a few mods involving magnetic strips or some other gasket material. The cylindrical filters used in the Levoit Core 600S for example, generally should provide a better seal thus give better performance than non cylinder style filters correct? Assuming there's proper contact on the top and bottom surfaces. Would you say that filter seal is the number one factor in determining effective filtration--especially as the filters become clogged?
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 4 ай бұрын
1) " Is that because of the dust leaking past the seals or are the filters of poor quality or both?" A: Definitely, the poor seal and the HEPA filters are prob. usually not the best quality. That said, the 400 DOES improve the air quality in most environments it is put in and most of the 400 customers like/love their unit. IMO, over 99% of the "HEPA" air purifiers do not work at a HEPA level... but most still dramatically improve the air quality in the spaces they are put. IQAir HPP filters better than HEPA and is Elite for particle filtration. 2) "The cylindrical filters used in the Levoit Core 600S for example, generally should provide a better seal thus give better performance than non cylinder style filters correct?" A: Excellent question. Sometimes, Yes... but other times, no... That will be true/false on a case-by-case basis. I don't have experience with the 600 but I just looked at the filter and installation on a video and I am pretty sure it does not have a good seal. Contrast that cylindrical filter gasket/arrangement with the Austin Air Healthmate's gasket/arrangement. The Healthmate has a thick spongey gasket on the top and bottom of the filter and when you close the bottom of the air purifier on the unit - you are forcing the gaskets to be pressed against the top and bottom of the unit. That is one of the reasons the Healthmate performs so well. I don't think the 600 has this forced pressure on the gaskets like the Healthmate does... but I can only discern so much from a video. **I am currently in the process of creating a Levoit Core 300 review and they have falsely been advertising many of their units as having "True HEPA" filters in them. They got in trouble last Summer with the BBB on this issue as Dyson blew the whistle on them... You will notice they do NOT say the word "HEPA" in their Core 600S listing on their webpage anymore... levoit.com/products/core-600s-smart-true-hepa-air-purifier Now, I currently believe 11 of their 22 air purifiers do NOT have HEPA filters in them - but they were marketed as having HEPA filters in them in the past b4 the BBB took them to task. That is why I like to say, "Lies, Damn Lies and Air Purification Marketing Practices". 3) "Would you say that filter seal is the number one factor in determining effective filtration--especially as the filters become clogged?" A: Yes... However, as time goes on and I learn more... - I am confident that we will find on most "HEPA" Filters - there is going to be some leaking between the HEPA material and the filter housing. And sometimes probably leaking right through some of the HEPA material, itself. It is much more difficult to mass manufacturer a "TRUE HEPA" Air purifier than the vast majority of consumers could ever imagine, IMO. The Department of Energy did a study and found they had a 12% failure/leaking rate in the HEPA filters they used at their facility. And those were top-notch manufactured HEPA filters that were tested after they came off the assembly line... carefully transported to the destination... installed by experts... tested again after the installations... and they STILL found a 12% failure rate after 6 months. Can we even guess what percentage of "HEPA Air Purifiers" don't work at a HEPA level in the consumer market after 6 months? Filters which are oftentimes made by low-quality manufacturers - some by low-skilled, cheap, labor who don't care about the quality... The vast majority of these filters are NEVER tested after they come off the assembly line. Like I said, I currently believe over 99% of the HEPA Air purifiers do not actually filter at a HEPA Level... esp. on higher speeds and esp. after some dust/debris accumulation.... But, perhaps I'm just a pessimist, LOL! 😆 @@Scottyman99

Hey Doug, do you know why US retailers are pulling these units out of their shelves? I see alot of used and open box units on Ebay and few brand new ones but at full price. Aeris Aair 3-1 would complete my collection for now 😊. If I can find a new one for $550, Im going to jump on it. Have you used alternate filters for this unit? What are your thoughts on Zeolite ?

I just spoke with iRobot yesterday and the units are currently only being sold in Japan. However, they said they are bringing it back to the US in 2024. It will be called the Klaara P7 Pro and it will link and talk with the iRobot vacuums and even turn on when the vacuums turn on. I am very happy about this but IDK exactly what changes they made to the filters vs. the original Aeris 3 in 1 and if I had to guess - I'd bet they will be making them in China (like they have all the iRobot vacuums since 2002). So, IDK if it will really be as good as the one I currently have - mine was made in Switzerland. No, I never used different filters for my 3 in 1 and I don't really know much about zeolite but I do wish to learn more about it and different carbons in the future. Thank you!👍

What’s going on, Doug. So I finally bought the 3-1 with medical filter and my god, this thing is a beast! Ive been running Camfil and this Aeris all day and Im not sure which is superior at the moment but the latter really pops. Aeris 3-1 on mode 6 is the loudest Ive heard on any unit. This thing sounds like an airplane engine on high mode but I love it 😂. The app isnt that great although I didnt expect much. The app interface seems to have changed, can you confirm that? The old version looks more simple. I know you dont trust these integrated air quality sensors and Im the same way, but Aeris’ sensor seems to be more accurate than other units ive used over the years. Btw, do you know if the medical filter have any carbon? Thanks

Hey Congrats! If you got the Medical Pro filter then your particulate filtration must be amazing... Yes, I run my 3 in 1 on high in my room and I really like the noise because it drowns out all the other noises I might hear like my son doing whatever he's doing at the moment, lol! I don't think everyone likes the loud white noise like me - but I def. prefer it. The app. is going to change - and is in the process of changing according to iRobot. So, yeah, it is probably different than the one iRobot got their hands on initially 2 years ago... I think now - depending on where you get your unit in the world - the app. will talk with the iRobot vacuums, as well. So, the app. is currently a work in progress. Yeah, it's really, really hard to know how well the sensor works... I mean, if I had to choose one that probably works "better than most" - I'd definitely lean towards the Aeris sensor because the guys who created it are brilliant and I assume they put a lot of thought and effort into the sensor... but, IDK.. and sometimes it shows the AQI go from 1 to 2 to 1 to 2 without anything really changing in the room... so.... who knows what's going on? The Medical Pro filter does not have carbon. So, I'm very curious how they are going to upgrade the 3 in 1 filter to H14 and retain the 390 CFMs on high speed (which I think is an amazing selling point). Will they lose CFMs? As the Medical filter's CFMs are 295 on max and the 3 in 1 filter is 390 cfms on max. Also, what will they be doing on the carbon side? I'm wondering... we'll see. 👍 @@xdean

What is a good price for this unit? I see one for $749 and i'm trying to gage if it's work snagging because of it's limited availability. I've looked throughout the page and though it being white, it doesn't seem like it's a refurb unit.

Hey, iRobot was selling the Aeris 3 in 1 units for $550 off their website for about a week or two about 2-3 months ago. I think they really angered their US dealers by doing this as the manufacturer is most ALWAYS supposed to advertise a higher price than their dealers... or what is the point of the dealer supporting their product? I'm sure their dealers quickly found out about the price drop and yelled at them. After they had that crazy low price - the price on their website jumped to about $1,100. And that was the original price Aeris was attempting to sell the units when they entered the US market about 3 years ago. Now, I go to the iRobot website and the "Aeris Air purifier" page says, "For technical reasons, your request could not be handled properly at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience." It said that yesterday, too. What is up with that?!? I find that to be ridiculous. I am not happy with the way iRobot has been handling the Aeris product line - I liked them much better when they were independent of iRobot. And Sylvane.com is out of stock on the product, as well - and they typically have the unit - and sell it for $749. So, I do not know what is going on with these guys. Is iRobot having supply chain problems? Kinda seems like it. So, to answer your question- yes, I think $749 is a decent price - that's what I paid for mine about a year ago, I think. I hope iRobot gets their act together on the Aeris product line. You may wanna call iRobot and ask if they will have it in stock soon and if they will be having any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals as that is right around the corner. Their number is: 866-747-6268. I have filled out their online form 3 times in the past and they have taken 5 to 7 days to respond even though they say it'll be within 2 days so I think the phone is the quickest option. Good Luck! 👍

@@AirPurificationEducation Thanks I see a white one on Walmart but it says it filters 99.95 instead of 99.98 and i'm wondering if that is just a miss print.
@AirPurificationEducation
@AirPurificationEducation 8 ай бұрын
Hmmm... I think the description on the Walmart site is probably inaccurate. I just looked at a graph from the manual and it states the Aeris 3 in 1 does better than 99.98% at .1 microns so I think they may have made a mistake - which is very common when websites publish details about filtration percentages. My old air quality company used to make mistakes like this all the time and we were supposed to be "experts", LOL! And I also think IQAir has a filtration percentage mistake on their website right now, as well. So, yeah, I personally would not worry about it. Thanks! @@Zack-fu8sn

wow it checks the air every second 10 times.. why ? here today a unit is sold for 69 euro.. maybe for people looking for cheap replacement filter and unit.. at Ibood Netherlands often if something is sold as cheap as this they don't sell very well, or the models are out of production..

Yes, it appears the 3 in 1 is not being produced anymore and it will be replaced by the Klaara P7 when iRobot decides to start selling them again. Here is the updated video on the situation: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jJyqjc9zs7Wuj2g.html Thanks!👍

Unit designed in Switzerland and assembled in CHINA. Made or only assembled? Parts shipped from Switzerland to China? Connection to the internet and App - both are tricky. Scheduling is working or not it is up to the unit. It is Big. 4 intake pre-filter nets, cleaning is not easy. 18 seconds to replace main filter (perfect!) once a year and 5 minutes for cleaning pre-filter nets once or twice a month and trying to place them back in a place at the 4 bottom openings is quite not smart. Very small pre-filter nets for such a big and powerful unit. Regarding my Temtop M2000 2nd air quality monitor this Aeris 3-in-1 pro does not clean air in my room as effective as Winix 5500-2, Alen 45i, Mila (overrector filter), blueair 121, levoit vital 200s. I possibly can not measure that, but out of the unit PM2.5 does not go lower than PM2.5 -0.4, PM10- 0.8 and Particles 120, when with Mila goes down to PM2.5 -0.1, PM10 -0.1, particles 30 and Mila keeps the whole room at PM2.5- 0.4, PM10 - 0.5, Particles 30-100. HCHO is the same. I really wanted to like this unit.

Sorry I didn't see your responses for so long - YT doesn't alert me to all of them for some reason... I really wish they would ping me every time... I saw this by accident... 1): Unit designed in Switzerland and assembled in CHINA. Made or only assembled? Parts shipped from Switzerland to China? A: I've checked with Aeris on this and they say made in Switzerland + I don't see any Chinese markings on the packaging - all my packaging says Switzerland. So, I went with Switzerland. Interestingly, I've had 2 other manufacturers/competitors say the IQAir Healthpro Plus was also made in China - but I've checked with them and their packaging and everything comes back Switzerland, as well. I am open to any possibilities but for now - I'm going with Switzerland. 2) Connection to the internet and App - both are tricky. Scheduling is working or not it is up to the unit. A: I generally see a lot of people have issues with Apps. on many products - and I am not an app fan at this point, TBH. 3) It is Big. A: It is about the size of my Austin Air Healthmate and about 30% smaller than the IQAir HealthPro plus and it is more powerful than either of those options with 390 CFMs. So, in comparison to 'bedroom units' like Winix 5500, Coway Airmighty - I guess, that would be true - it is larger than those - but it is actually undersized for its power/CFM capabilities, IMO. I was actually amazed at how small it was when I first got it. 4) 4 intake pre-filter nets, cleaning is not easy. 18 seconds to replace main filter (perfect!) once a year and 5 minutes for cleaning pre-filter nets once or twice a month and trying to place them back in a place at the 4 bottom openings is quite not smart. Very small pre-filter nets for such a big and powerful unit. A: Filter cube replacement is a dream - but, I agree - the nets at the bottom could have been designed better for sure, IMO. 5) Regarding my Temtop M2000 2nd air quality monitor this Aeris 3-in-1 pro does not clean air in my room as effective as Winix 5500-2, Alen 45i, Mila (overrector filter), blueair 121, levoit vital 200s. I possibly can not measure that, but out of the unit PM2.5 does not go lower than PM2.5 0.4, PM10 0.8 and Particles 120, when with Mila goes down to PM2.5 0.1, PM10 -0.1, particles 30 and Mila keeps the whole room at PM2.5 0.4, PM10 - 0.5, Particles 30-100. HCHO is the same. I really wanted to like this unit. A: I am not currently a fan of the Temtop sensors (or any brand at this point) and I am currently in the process of trying to become more educated on how accurate any of these sensor brands actually are... I have 4 different ones and the 3 less expensive ones like Temtop sometimes contradict the more expensive Dylos but I'm not even sure how accurate the Dylos is, either. I'm gonna make a video on this eventually - or even a series of videos. I've had manufacturers tell me even the $4,000 sensors give false readings, as well, so... I think it may be tricky to accurately test the performance of the air purifiers themselves - and I currently question any and all results when it comes to the testing sensors. I am really trying to understand the variables involved and hopefully will have better insight in the near future. Thanks for your input! 👍
