AFRICAN CICHLIDS BREEDING! | Are these Lwanda too young?

Күн бұрынIn this weeks video we take a look at my 2-2.5" African cichlids breeding & the tank setup I have for them.
On Friday evening I noticed the main male Lwanda was acting very aggressively & looked incredibly colorful. By Saturday/Sunday one small females vent had dropped & the male was going wild, chasing every other fish besides that female, to the right side of the tank.
After that they seemed to breed throughout the day, doing the cichlid breeding dance multiple times while I was down there doing water changes on some of my other aquariums.

I need tips!! I have only a male and female. Put them in a community tank. 40breeder now cycled putting them in today I hope to get them to breed

Damon Collazo yeah I think so too. I’m sure his coloration & fins will only get better too!👍🏻 I do have some other Lwanda males from that same line right now. Only 3-4 but I could maybe ship one depending where you are

hes sweet.mines the same but more yellow in the fins and more purple in the body.i have tetrastigmas and they started breeding at 3cm,smallest that ive had in my fishroom,im trying to get it on video ,hopefully soon.

hey man, yeah ive bred wild lwanda and growing out the f1 fry and they have started breeding at a smaller size then yours about 40/50mm

ian grant that’s great👍🏻 how’s the strain? Good one? This strain is really nice I think. Especially with how long the fathers fins are!

Cichlidscape • yeah man I had 4 males and 5 females collected from hai reef in the lake and the colours and fins are amazing. And they bulked up into 5 inch fish from using good pellet foods.

Cichlidscape • vitalis red and green mixed, as they are wilds took a couple of weeks to get them used to it but all good after

I'm new to cichlids breeding, recently i stripped eggs from my RED fin, out 15 eggs only 1 egg development, rest everything went off like that. Kindly advise how can i make all eggs to develop. Thank you in advance

vishnu vardhan it could be many things tbh my friend. Maybe the other eggs weren’t fertile. Or they could have rotted away in the tumbler due to lack of flow. I presumed you tumbled them after stripping them but I know that can be an issue sometimes. Thanks for watching my friend👍🏻 wish you luck the next time they breed!

Cory Nelson I got type group & the groups father from a local breeder here in Pittsburgh👍🏻 I believe he’s starting to ship but is no longer breeding the Lwanda. I plan on doing so though
