they only did that because UA authorities had very clear rules that the group of people to prioritize for leaving the country are Ukrainian women and children, followed by the elderly. International students come later, and some particular borders like the Polish-Ukrainian one only allowed women and children to leave. International students had to go through either the Hungarian, Slovakian, or Moldovan border. This was not some sort of secret, but of course the rage-baiting Western media love to write shock factor articles about Ukrainians being racist to push a false narrative @@cocoaorange1

Blacks left Ukraine among the very first ones. They even started conflict because of seats because train was overfilled with children and women. Zero blacks joined Ukranian army or territorial defence forces. They just fled as fast as possible.

Fayida, I am so impressed! I definitely heard of discriminatory treatment to Black people fleeing the war in Ukraine, having been overlooked and turned away from transportation leaving the country and attempting to cross borders. This greatly disturbed me, as I was aware of African students and Afro-Ukrainians. It is a relief and timely delight to see the positive movements to help these marginalized people. Thank you for enlightening us all!

@@jennevabrereton7010 Miss, I am uncertain if you are being sarcastic, but this is the factual answer. There are some Afro-Ukrainians who were born in Ukraine. There are others who came to study for higher education and/or other purposes. Whether they were born there or not is irrelevant to their absolute right to be treated with dignity and respect.

No there not, the ppl who claim the word first are black Americans Africans have specific countries they come from for example if ur from Nigeria and moved to America you would be Nigerian American not African American. Africa is huge that would just be a low key dis to the peoples of Africa. And a dis to a community looking to reclaim a piece of cultural identity lost via slavery.

Fayida- I love your Freedom is Mine. I asked my daddy when I was a little girl in the 1960s- "Are black folks all over the world?" He told me "Yes. Where a soldier or a warrior or we were taken when we went he left a baby". That is when I learned of the diaspora. We are all over the world.
