I read funny story about Paul Morphy in Ruben Fine’s book Morphy and Paulsen were siting for 11 hours, without saying a single word, and without moving anything on board. After 11 hours, Morphy finally seriously looked at Paulsen, and Paulsen said: “Oh is it my move?” At that time, there were no clocks in chess, but surely, after that, clocks were introduced.

Many things set your commentary apart from others, Agadmator. Not the least of which is the touch of heart-felt humanity you can bring to a simple match. This story is one of many you've posted that could hold it's open with any ESPN outside the lines or 30for30.

At 5:05, is Knight to B3 a good defense? Any analysis on that front anyone? Mostly just curious. In that position it's what I would have played. It seems to lock up the queen to an extent and I can't see a successful attack being mounted from that position. Even if black responds with knight to c5, If the knights get traded then the recapture with the pawn on the b file creates an escape for the king.

hey guys. im a newbie chess player and i wonder where should i start to learn chess. i know the each pieces movement, but i dont know proper strategy to play chess, some times i makes blunder move that shouldnt happen. i also love to play chess in mobile, i already have chess.com, i love the app because can play with online player and the chat system really good, but that app required to purchase membership to get full analyze and i think i dont really want to purchase any membership because im just a casual player (and a newbie of course), but some times i need to analyze my match to get better and right now im looking for best f2p online chess with full insight after match. hope some of you guys could give me some recommendation and thank you guys before. sorry if my english really bad

#suggestion Could you make a video on the Chess game between Botvinnik and Claude Shannon. Shannon, also known as the father of Information Technology is one of the most influential scientists of all time. In fact he was also the first man to study the problem of programming computer for playing Chess. He was also a pioneer of artificial Intelligence which is used in neural networks like Alpha Zero and Leela. Apparently he played against Botvinnik during a visit to Russia.
