My Filipina age gap is 21 years, 70 vs. 49. It's fine. This relationship, though 38 years, seems to be okay. The guy is in excellent physical for his age, which is a plus.

I am married to Filipina. I was 52 and she was 26. I am 69 now and she is 43. I never regret a minute. She is so loving and hard working and fun. I try not to think about it. I just want to enjoy life. The biggest problem is trying to support her family. I finally try to back off on helping. It is never enough and they do not appreciate the sacrifices we make to help them. It is better to let them take care of themselves. It makes them dependent and they do not try to better themselves.

This is a good topic. I am 67 and my wife is 28, we have been together for 10 years and I also feel younger just like you do when I am married to someone who is much younger than me. We will pass away long before our wives and they will probably remarry, that's sad haha. I and my wife have children and our big issue at the moment is whether to decide for our children to grow up in Spain with high education and no family since I am from Norway, or move back to the Philippines where my wife's family is from and limited school education. We also have very little social life here due to our age difference, couples in their 60s-70s don't want to socialize with old/young couples (I do understand them). In the Philippines, we have a family but I don`t want to live too close to them even thought they are nice, you easily become an ATM for them every time there is something. My wife and I are in many ways on two different planets, but I've learned to let her have the last word if we disagree, it works fine and we haven't argued in years. My wife is of course very beautiful and a very good wife and mother too. I recognize a lot of how you describe their relationship, almost so that I could say the same about me and my wife hehe. Can't say that we will live cheaper in the Philippines either, since the cost level here in Spain is somewhat lower overall than in the Philippines, after all, I lived in the Philippines for 10 years before we moved here 7 years ago, so I know much about all the unexpected expenses that always pop up in The Philippines, although cheap to live there anyway. The healthcare system is bad and not to be trusted either, a lot of crime and guns in the Philippines and the number one rule is not to argue with anyone in the Philippines even if you are right. Most Filipinos are friendly but there are pros and cons like in all countries. I guess I simply miss the sunset hehe, and the simple life. The same case for my wife, she prefers the Philippines, but our kids love school here, so we do as they used to say in the Philippines, wait for a while 🙂.

I must say that was a sincere and truthful conversation from the both of you. However, sometimes the words frustration, and protector can be confused with controlling, and no matter how mature you are or can be, it's going to be life's experiences as a married couple that will make both of you very strong. I am 48, and my Pinay GF is 20. I chose her, and she chose me. I find that it does feel awkward because of the Western attitude that age gap is taboo. I have had to sell myself that her love is true. Her actions have proven that she loves me. Money may be part of it, but not all. Every one needs security as well as love. My first marriage to a Pinay lasted 22 years, 15 very happy. Now I find myself looking for younger so I can have more kids. I did try for an American woman, but they are too materialistic, let their health suffer, and are past the family making stage. Yes, my GF has wild mood swings. That takes getting used to. I guess I do too. We are both committed, and have not left. I do feel guilty about not growing old with her. I will, but she will be alone and in her 40s. I hope that the children we raise will keep her company and remind her of my love. I will save something for her, but she can take care of herself. Nice age gap conversation. Thanks. I met my Thai wife when I was 60 and she was 35. We have been together 5 years, married for 3 years. (= 25 yr age gap). My western friends have been supportive. My sister in the US is less so but we still get along. As to who gets what in the relationship I am quite comfortable with, in fact consider it normal, that she gets maturity and financial security and I get companionship. All of that is compatible with a love relationship. Relationships are more than one thing. This is quite common, when I die she will, of course, be relatively young but I will leave her with land and a house and some amount of money to restart her life. When I think about it I would recommend choosing a partner over 30 years old (maturity considerations) but whatever works is OK. Certainly discuss the issue of children early on as well as whether to live in the west or in Asia. Westerners are hung up on the romantic love question of “will she love me if I am poor”. I don’t think that that is a helpful perspective. I think relationships are more complicated than that and that Asians have a more honest approach to that question.

Of all the KZfaq channels that I watch that has to do with the Philippines and Age Gap relationships, this is by far the best video I have seen. I was married for 30 years, so I know what a long-term relationships is, and I'm at a point now where I am pretty clear about what I want (in a relationship)… I have been a widower now for 15 years, even now without a single a date.... sad I know, but true. I just have not been able to bring myself out of the funk.... I would like very much to find a GREAT Filipina for me..... BUT....... I am now 70, but in GOOD Health, but now I feel that I am too old to find someone who would not only complete me (as a Partner) but who would be young and give me another zest for life. I have a friend who was in a similar situation. There was a 21 year age gap and the marriage lasted for over 20 years. The marriage was fine until he entered a different stage of life. The problem was when he retired at age 65 the couple had different goals. He wanted to do retirement things live travel and spend time at the cottage. She was 44 and still loved her job. So they fought a lot and broke up two years later.

Yes you never know how long life is. And it's great to have a perspective of God on that as well. And even as you guys are talking about 20-30 years left. There are not many relationships that last that long even without age gap. You guys are great and I really love this channel

I have spent many weeks with her and her family in the Philippines, and we have experienced the same minor issues you discussed in your video. But the bottom line is that we are happy together, and our relationship works. What is most important is that your strengths blend together to make a very strong relationship.

Thank you for this video. I actually was worried about the age gap more than my girl is. They're 17 years difference between us. I know a couple of her friends were creating some drama about it in the beginning but after time they came around. But besides that I really don't see age as a problem. There's a big difference between age and maturity. Again I really appreciate this video it was a big help

The word is "envy" to be precise... But jealousy is correct too! I'm pinoy born&raised in pinas... 59yrs old too....and my second wife is 37yrs old and also single-mom... We have 2daughters together plus 2 children from my first wife and her son which makes 5 all in all.... We're celebrating 11yrs together this April and still going strong!!!

Don't worry about those people that think what you guy's are doing is not right what i'm thinking they wish they can find a young person themself but for me as long as you both happy and your both 18 or above i don't see why not let the good times roll and God bless
