Depends on the jealousy level. If it's at the max level, it can be really annoying. A sane jealousy is always good to have on both parts.

This is spot on. I'm engaged to a Filipina, and she has to know where, when, with whom I am going to do it every day. She even makes me notify her when I get home. I'm always paying for everything as well. Now, her family messages me on Facebook asking me for financial help. We went to lunch with a couple of her friends and not only did I have to pay for lunch, because they were there to help us out with photos for the K1 visa process, she wanted me to give them money for their help. The thing about financial help for her family, I knew this was going to be how it was going to be from the start. I lived in the Philippines for a couple of years when I was in my early 20s and know what the culture is like. I do have to put my foot down now and then and say no to her. I try to limit the financial help to immediate family only. When we first got engaged, she posted photos of us together and the ring on Facebook, I received friend request from every woman in her village. She told me not to accept any of them. She told me all they wanted was for me to find them a single man hers in the US, or to ask for monrey. Typically, I do not accept friend requests from people I don't personally know, so it wasn't a big problem. I did accept one friend request from a girl from her village just to see her reaction, it wasn't good. She wanted me to delete her and block her immediately.

​@@Jason.Graham Hi Jason, I probably spend about $400 to $600 a month on her family. She has a son from a previous marriage though, who turned 20 a few months ago and graduated from high school. She always regretted not finishing college and getting married at such an early age so she was pretty set on him going and finishing college. I paid for his tuition to one of the less prestigious colleges and purchased a computer and some clothes for him. I pay his monthly expenses like rent, food, internet, travel, and some spending money. They have a monthly exam fee at the college and all that runs me about $350 USD a month. I help her brothers with food now and then and when they need things but I have to say no when it is too much. I told her immediate family only, no cousins, aunts, uncles, or friends. Trust me they will ask all the time. Set expectations early and be upfront and honest with her and if she is the right one she will understand. Be careful though, sadly there are a lot of young Filipinas who are only wanting to find a foreign man who will spend money on them. Those girls will drain your bank account and then be gone. They will then come back later and say how sorry they are and how it was a big mistake and do it all over again. Don't let some young beautiful girl con you into something you will regret later. I've seen it happen to a couple of guys I know. That is why I won't set any of my friends up with a Filipina. I met my fiance through a mutual friend, we were Facebook friends for a few years and chatted a few times before we got serious about anything at all. In the beginning, expect them not to be really open and honest about things. They are very proud and if it is something that is embarrassing to them, they aren't going to tell you the truth. They really have to trust you before they will talk openly about things that are embarrassing and if it is sexual in nature. Trust me though, if you find the right girl you will not regret the decision. The money thing won't be an issue if you set expectations early on. Be honest with her and don't give her any reason to get jealous and she will take such good care of you. She will never leave you and she won't let you down. Filipinas are the most loving, nurturing, and caring women I have ever known. If you are really looking for a good wife to be a partner in a relationship with, you won't find many better. Be kind and treat them well and they will do the same. Hope that helps.
