i’m seeing a lot of people complaining about the way alex talks, but honestly i think hearing him speak his mind and not being interrupted, is so special. if you give him a chance and see past his stuttering (which for me really isn’t a big deal) you can really understand his thought process behind tbh&c and his little stories that play a big part into who he is. mind of gold and lyrical genius.

I honestly think there are just too many thoughts inside his head...and he can't find the words to express himself exactly at times.
@BriannaBanana13 жыл бұрын
@@mayanksharma3651 I can relate. I express myself so much better in writing, when I have time to think about my words, than I do verbally, in the spur of the moment, particularly if I'm nervous or flustered. The more flustered I am, the worse I am at stringing words together, and sometimes I'll devolve into simply grabbing the first word that is 'close enough' to what I'm trying to say and just string together awkward sentences that way, a piece at a time, then realize I didn't actually mean what I just said and not know why I said it. It's terrible, lol.

Yeah Jasmine.. it’s fascinating, d’you think? It’s like us in interviews : Hello Sir.. my name is Jas & I’m an Arctic Monkey.. my precise method for producing songs uses a calculator & ruler (for arguments sake). Then have a long trivial chat.. etc.. shake hands & leave..! Us in songs : Baa baa black sheep, where’s your lovely wool... what sir, what sir..! This song is just not cool 🤷🏼♀️

Not all lyrics must tell a story and the fact that you used do i wanna know as your example makes me think that you have never heard anything besides AM.
@dabee26705 жыл бұрын
I mean if you look at the lyrics in the first album, they're fantastic. View from the afternoon tells the disappointment of not getting laid on a night out, Ritz to the rubble is about trying to get into a club, When the sun goes down is about a man taking advantage of a prostitute. Even on songs outside the album: Cobblestone is about a man where no matter how hard he tries to find another lover he cant forget about his past one, Balaclava is about mischefious teens... there's plenty of other out there and I could go on but point is he can string out a story with very creative lyrics

I'm VERY curious too. But he did say he has the same feeling he had with the piano when playing someone else's guitar, and Do I Wanna Know only exists because of that Vox guitar he got back then so... guess he needs to buy more guitars. Or get some new guitars as birthday presents. Or try alternate tunings.

Finally catching up with all AT’s interviews with my lockdown free time..! 😃 I had to wonder if there are any extra substances in the room putting their own thoughts in his mind on the odd occasion..!? 🤔 I’m guessing that could make up 20% potentially..!?🐒 Probably from the night before I’d say..? 😉 & if he had zero sleep as well, this hour & half must be torture..! 🥱 Who wants to tell a bland radio presenter (who doesn’t ‘’get’ creative/musical concepts.. whatsoever..!) how his mind works when writing songs... Is AT bored senseless..! I’d love to see AT being interviewed by someone on his level..! They would pick up his wavelength straight away & they’d bounce off each other with the same creative language. I loved listening to Alex’s chat anyway..! lots of insight on how a highly functioning creative mind works 😎 & simply the best way for him to communicate it all.. is ON STAGE..! If some folk don’t understand his angles.. just listen to his music.. each song is the story & the music makes things bounce..!? 🎵😎🎵😎 Use your own imagination then to work things out & interpret your own story.. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ #justsaying Please, please just keep those albums coming AT..! 😍 😃 😍 & maybe get someone more suited for the ‘asking questions’ job..! 🤷🏼♀️ That guy you got would do better with Boris Johnson. I speak like this sometimes, specially when I need to talk about something I think a lot but don't usually express. You have a lot in your mind and you have trouble organizing into fluid sentences.

I have many interviews with different artists that I recorded or downloaded for private purposes over the years. It's really time-consuming to go through them, edit out the songs and upload them. Copyrights are another issue, some just get taken down. But thanks for the positive feedback, I'll try and upload more in my spare time.
