I live by a cornfield, so hearing the line "they're still out in the field, it's been three days" is chilling. But the line "it's in the house!" Makes my hair on the back of my neck stand up on end.

Fiddlesticks knowing the 'true names' of the Runeterra demons is such a badass thing. For those that don't know the lore. God gave Adam the ability to name things, the angels and demons can't, they're stuck with the names given to them Angels don't mind that part. Demons hate it. To know a demon's 'true name' is to take power from them and them to admit weakness. Like you'd had to humiliate a demon into submission for it to give up its name to you. With priests and the like. So for fiddlesticks just to walk in and playfully say, "Evelynn" She must have be shi*ting herself.

As someone who already cries when they hear "Willump, I'll save you" in the normal context, Fiddlesticks mimicking it is just brutal.

"Don't open your eyes!" is probably the scariest of all the lines for me. I can only imagine a mother saying that to her child so he won't have to witness their horrid fate at the hands of such monstrosity.

"They haven't come back from the fields. It's been three days." I really like this one cause you can hear 'hiccuping' in it. I know fiddle stumbles over the words cause he doesn't know how to speak, but I feel like in this one he's mimicking the hiccups people get while they cry.

Fiddlesticks saying those things to each Champion is a lot more terrifying when you realize that he either was present when those events took place or is able to tap into your mind and draw out your most traumatic experiences.

Okay so wait, if Fiddlesticks feeds on fear and repeats the things he's heard...what if there's another layer represented by the line he repeats from one of his victims: "It knows what we're afraid of". What if not all of the "sounds" Fiddlesticks has heard and repeats were ever actually...spoken? What if he "hears" fears that people feel, and expresses them in his own twisted way at his victims so he can bring the fear out of them and feed on it. The extra layer I was talking about? What if _that is why he speaks the names of other demons._ I know Riot likes pulling from other myths, lore, and legends to craft their own, and there's a fair few references that knowing a Demon/Spirit's true name can give you some form of power over them. Obviously less sentient/younger Demons may not be aware or protective of it, or you could read Taum Kench as an example in bravado and arrogance, since he just throws it around brashly. The more concerning thought that arises from this...Every region has a different form they ascribe to the entity known as Fiddlesticks. We're given to know that Fiddlesticks is something of a ... primordial demon? One of if not the first of Demonkind. What if all of the forms in all the legends are true? What if the name Fiddlesticks _is only a mortal given name?_ What if literally nothing and no one knows his True Name? The name Fiddlesticks could simply be how ancient people on runeterra described the entity of horrors that pulled ramshackle nearby debris together to assemble its body, yet was always completely recognizable from its power. Maybe every time he manifests he assembles a new vessel from whatever is nearby? If a lone mage in a tower was what summoned him this time, his current body could be made from things that were in the mage's tower. Maybe everytime he manifested on runeterra in a different location he assembled a different body resulting in the same legend with different details. ...I really like eldritch horrors.

Also may i add, in surprise party fiddlesticks when he meets Zoe he says "Nice key, Didn't steal it from someone Dangerous did you?" (Not exactly that but along those lines* Referring to himself, as Zoe stole a key from fiddlesticks. Also when he kills Zoe he says "I think its time to bring JOY back into the world" because in his bio it mentions "An old Targonian legend speaks of how a child of twilight stole the only joy from a ragged, whispering horror"

Just had a thought. We know from Yone's lore that one of the requirements to defeat/seal way a demon is to know their true name. This could mean that whenever Fiddle meets another demon and just says their name he's not acknowledging them, he's trying to scare them, just like any mortal.

After experiencing the Spirit Blossom event, the voice line "Gray Man" regarding Kindred makes so much sense now. It's so interesting how well Riot intertwines the lore and how well they have things planned.

I believe this will come up in Arcane and may be the reason why Jinx went insane, because of something terrible she accidentally caused in her past. We know she didn't do it intentionally because Fiddlesticks knows what each person is afraid of, probably through some psychic way "It's hunting us! It knows what we're afraid of!" I say this because I highly doubt Fiddlesticks was there when Annie's sister was drowning

The line "It's hunting us. It knows what we're afraid of." to me that implies that Fiddlesticks didn't necessarily hear any of these lines in person when referring to other characters. If it knows what everyone is afraid of then it must have at least some mind reading capabilities. and a lot of these lines refer to situations and events that are painful to the person it's talking to, something that may induce fear or trepidation. So perhaps its delving into its targets mind for memories that bring out fear.

Fiddlesticks also says what the demons hunger for when kills them: Agony for Evelynn Nightmares for Nocturn Secrets for Raum And Addiction for Tahm Kench I know that these were already kinda already known, but I believe this actually confirms them.

The true fear factor is not his scarry voice or that he mimicks the last words of his victims, but that HE WAS THERE, to even mimick them. He WAS THERE when Nunu´s mother called out to him. He WAS THERE when Anni burned her house to ashes. He WAS THERE when Sylas spoke to Lux, when Vaynes parents said that she should smile more. HE WAS THERE. The thought alone is so unnerving.

My favorite detail that really cements Fiddlestick's alien nature is its "laugh", in which it mimics the sound of a horse. It genuinely has such little understanding of living beings that it can't tell the difference between a horse whinny and human laughter.

The terrifying thing to me is how Fiddlesticks has heard all these voices. While he has been seen across Runeterra, it’s hard to believe that he’s been present or aware of basically everyone’s most traumatic moments. So I surmise that Fiddlesticks is reflecting what it ‘hears’ in the hearts of those it meets. But what it does seems less like it feeds on fear, but emotional suffering. Grief, Guilt, Regret. Fear seems to play a part in it, but it seems to say things to evoke the darkest moments of its prey, to make them suffer in reliving emotional anguish as opposed to terrifying them. Of course fear it part of its modus operandi and plays a large part in how it operates, but to me it seems that the heart of the character is the pain within people.

You should include the voice lines when Fiddle kills a demon! He calls them out and names the thing that they feed on. (Eve - 'Agony', Tahm - 'Addiction', Nocturne - 'Nightmares' and Raum (Swain) - 'Secrets') It is really interesting. These are the only lines (and the names of the demons) that are not just copies of other people's sentences. Imo it is actually Fiddle who says these things. But why? Maybe these demons are the essence of the things they consume and when Fiddle kills a demon he feels their essence in such a raw form that he can't resist to name these things? Why would he say anything? Why would he say excatly this? Idk, but it is scary!

"Fiddlesticks End of Men Fiddlesticks first of ten" What if he is not the first of 10 demons or fiddlesticks but 10 trials for mens, like the first of the 10 calamitys supposed to destroy humanity? who knows it can be anything if you think like this

I know its been 3 years, but revisiting this, I love the theory that "first of 10" isnt "1st of all 10 demons" but its "first of 10 versions of Fiddlesticks" because it matches his effigies, and every region has a very different version of Fiddlesticks in their folklore. And it means that Rito can make skins for each "one of 10" there is.
