@@DavidLightbringer I think they should have Sara Snow be the one who kills Alys Rivers, with northern magic. Since they're expanding Jace's role into Season 3 I think they should also expand Sara Snow's role, and have her come south with him. The dragon that Alys has could be Vhagar. Maybe in the show she survives the Battle Over the God's Eye but is gravely injured, and seeks refuge in Harrenhal. So, my idea is that Sara Snow skinchanges into Vhagar and roasts Alys Rivers.

I'm sure we'll see Alys giving birth - her finally having a living child after several stillbirths, and after Aemond's death, would be such a big and emotional moment. But we MUST see her after the Dance when she is the Witch Queen of Harrenhal, with her son and 600 people loyal to her including 200 men of fighting age - mostly Broken Men (aka war veterans with PTSD), defying the regents and calling herself Aemond's widow and their son the rightful king. That messenger story is questionable, but Ser Regis Groves of the Kingsguard was definitely killed (even though there are different versions how, and if Alys exploded his head or gave an order to one of her men to shoot him with a crossbow or bolt), after calling her son a bastard and "baseborn whelp of a kinslayer and a milk cow". That's such an awesome moment. The show made people cheer for Vaemond's death just because he called Rhaenyra a whore; if the same people don't cheer when Regis is killed, they're damn hypocrites.

Why would anyone believe a theory that has absolutely no basis in show or books, makes no sense, is completely OOC for both Aemond and Helaena, and would be completely pointless?

Disclaimer: David does a WAY better job of explaining this in some of his videos/livestreams than me, but I’ll do my best to hit the main points: 1) Aemond sacrifices an eye for access to magical power (Vhagar), similar Odin with Yggdrasil. 2) Lightbringer symbolism often takes the form of either a sword or a dragon (but can be other things), so Vhagar is Aemond’s version of Lightbringer. 3) Aemond’s sapphire eye is evocative of the Others, of which Azor Ahai/Night’s King is supposedly one of the progenitors (along with Nyssa Nyssa/Night’s Queen). Also one-eyed characters in general tend to be Azor Ahai figures. 4) Speaking of Nyssa Nyssa, another big Azor Ahai “thing” is to “steal into the bloodline” of the Sun King (Aegon II) and Moon Maiden/Nyssa Nyssa (Helaena). This archetype is all over ASIOAF, the most obvious example being Robert (Sun King), Cersei (Moon Maiden), and Jaime (Azor Ahai). While this hasn’t been confirmed, it would fit the symbolic archetype that Aemond is fulfilling. 5) Symbolism aside, we see on HOTD that, unlike Aegon, Aemond actually does care for Helaena. He says that he’s happily marry her when Aegon was complaining. When Viserys dies, Aemond goes to Helaena’s chambers to comfort her (he COULD have been looking for Alicent, but I don’t think so). When Meleys crashes through the floor of the dragon pit, Aemond stands in front of Helaena to try and protect her. EDIT: I don’t want to get into spoiler territory, but Helaena’s kids being Aemond’s instead of Aegon’s would also make sense for the early events of Season 2. Daemon’s letter seems to imply so, although the change to him delivering the news about Luke to Rhaenyra in person could lead to other changes. We’ll have to wait and see.

@@LonkTheLunk I don’t disagree about Aemond and Helaena. But the Azor Ahai stuff could be said for almost every Targaryen in the world of Ice and Fire. Plus on top of all of that, Aemond lives in a point in time where there is no Azor Ahai, because he or she won’t be needed for another 150ish years

We know next to nothing about dragon bonding in this world. At the height of their power the Valyrians had a thousand dragons, and their dragon riding history goes back 4,000 years. In all that time and with so many dragons were there really no instance of a dragon bonding with two riders? I find that hard to believe. Also, it's possible that prolonged seperation can weaken the bond.

And I suspect that the writers are doing it by having Rheanys knowing that her son is alive but keeping it secret. When she shaded Rhea in the garden in episode 7, I thought she was hamming it up. Making Rhea believe that she thinks she buys into Rhea and Deamons' scheme.I think she resents Corlys for the loss of Leana; she will not mourn another child because of his ambition. and then she suddenly supports Lucerys' claim to driftmark...because her grandchildren aren't safe. She's seen how far her husband will go and lose children. She's seen how far Rhea's ambition can go,too. Yet, Rhea spared her son. For that, I think Rheanys will always be in debt to Rhea but she will take her secret to the grave. And when he becomes privy to her eventual passing, that's when Leanor will make his comeback. Out of loyalty to the woman who gave him life(rheanys) and the woman who saved it(rhea).

The last time we see her is after the Dance, when she's known as the "Witch Queen of Harrenhal" and "the widow" and ruling Harrenhal, living there with her and Aemond's son, whom she's calling the rightful king of the Seven Kingdoms, and defying the crown with 600 people who live in Harrenhal and are loyal to her, including about 200 Broken Men. She and her people kill one of the Kingsguard, Ser Regis, after he insults her and her son, and capture others in the same party and send threats to the regents. There’s a story about a messenger that she supposedly magic-choked from distance (a more questionable one since no source and no names are given), and according to that, the guy claimed she had a dragon (might not be literally true, possibly a rumor based on Alys referring to her son as a dragon, since she was quoted referring to Aemond as "the dragon" when talking to Sabitha Frey when she was caozured) and also that Alys had found a way to awaken the magical powers in the walls of Harrenhal.* * which may be true since Harrenhal was said to be built from weirwoods (and according to Old Nan, even with human blood). I have a theory that this may have been triggered by Caraxes' blood, since he died, bleeding out, beneath the walls of the castle.

I mean then Leanor needs to die somehow because sea-smoke won’t except new rider until the old rider dies, whereas he comes back in disguise or he dies with the illness , disease or whatever idk those are the only possible choices

don't believe thats been confirmed yet , there is potential they may combine Addam and Alyn's characters but as of now we do not know. I suspect they just did not announce Addam yet or is hopefully the case anyway. Fairly sure Cregan's casting hasn't been officially announced beyond strong rumors (unless i missed that confirmation with Cregan) and he's obviously not been cut out of HotD. It's not impossible HotD cuts or combines but i wouldn't say we know Addam is cut out of the series at this point , that casting announcement might just come in the near future. If they go with LV coming back posing as Addam , that doesn't work for me and i'd find it quite lame.
