It doesn't matter how many times I hear this song I cry for all the children who are suffering... It breaks my heart to know that so many children are hurt by the people who are supposed to love and protect them!!!

Every time I hear this song my soul boils with anger and I would happily sell my soul for eternity, just too wipe every child abuser from the face of this planet.

If not every child abuser, I'd sell my soul for just one!

I was Alyssa. Imagine me in California in the summer timeWearing long sleeve shirts and long pants set nobody could understand I was going through. Because I felt like if I told anybody I was weak! I think you Jesus I thank you God that I made it through that and I’m a strong woman who raised two beautiful boys

My older brother and I survived our growing up years, NOTICE that I commented that we survived, and NOT our childhood, BUT our growing up years. He suffered permanent ear damage and I was permanently blinded in one eye, from the two people who were OUR PARENTS. Out of seven children, he and I received the abuse, Why, we never found out. Teachers, neighbors and family members saw and heard, BUT NOBODY bothered OR cared to help us. IF you know that a child, OR children are being abused, PLEASE CARE enough to HELP THEM.wado,Ann Benson.

I was abused as a kid and no one saved me. It hurts because I easily could have died. I might still be alive but I have wounds I will never heal. Thank you to everyone for spreading awareness on this subject. Whether it's Emotional, verbal, or physical abuse. No one deserves to feel useless and alone. Thank you

I love this song and video it really touches my heart. I worked at a place for abused teenagers it was heartbreaking. I got along great with the teenagers I tried to help them and I prayed for them. I lost my job because of another worker didn't like me. So the supervisor gave me a choice quit or be fired. So I quit I miss the teenagers I was with they meant a lot to me.

Another similar one is Martina McBride Concrete Angel. You should react to that. It is dedicated to her nice who was killed by her mother and all money paid is donated to organizations to stop child abuse.

What happens when Alyssa tells the truth, nothing changes.

I know why Alyssa lies. She thought if she loved her abuser enough they would stop. So she kept trying to love so hard. She knew if she told they would have to go away. She didn't want that, she just wanted it to stop and just love and be loved.

People don’t realize or understand that a lot of adults who lie, cover up, and deny and protect when they are in an abusive relationship children cover up and deny at a higher percentage. Regardless what happens, it is their Mom, Dad, Step Parent. It’s a fact that so many more children are being affected by abuse than reported. We as humans need to let it be known...it’s OK to tell so the abuser can get help, get treatment, and get the child in a safe place while the adult is getting help. Then get the child help so this horrible pattern stops. A lot of abuse a child endured while young effects them in some way as an adult. It’s heart breaking

This was my childhood. I was beat so bad by my biological father that he almost killed me multiple times. When I was 9 I was tied to a bed and raped repeatedly by a step-cousin and no one would believe me. I was finally taken away from him after he molested my older sister and got her pregnant then killed the baby by nearly killing her. But for the Grace of God this could have been me and my sisters
