The bots are misleading, I am constantly playing and beating 1600 elo bots, my elo is only 700.. I wish the bots would destroy me so I can learn
@donaldmartell37294 ай бұрын
I've been discovering that too, they always seem to make a mistake or blunder when necessary to let you have an advantage. It's frustrating when I'm 1,000 and can beat the bots up to around 1,600 as well. They gotta re-rate them all.

Bots should gain and lose rating when you play against them

Great games. You make these bots look easy. On that king hunt in the last game: there might be a quicker checkmate, but in general I think it's better to play a forcing line quickly, especially if it just outright wins the queen, then it is to burn time looking for the perfect line that may not exist.

Nelson looks thinner can tell he's been putting in sum work. Right on man!

It's funny how the world changes. In the middle ages when food was scarce, wealthy people would intentionally get fat to show off their ability to acquire food. More recently, when food became too easy to get, the rich people were making sure they don't get fat. But, thanks to people getting mad about body shaming, being big is becoming acceptable again.... 😂

The lower-level bots often make dumb moves and I saw some here. Like at 7:42. At 1500 or so bots are harder to defeat, in my experience.

I probably would have simplified and just forked the queen and gotten the opponent to do the resignation of shame lol

Nelson I feel as though you are exposing something I've noticed playing the bots. They will often play at the expected level up until a point and then make a really strange blunder that doesn't feel real at all. I'm sure it is tricky to make an algorithm that makes it feel 'real' but most of the time when I beat a bot it doesn't feel like I've actually achieved much. I'm rated roughly 800 and have managed to beat the 1500 rated bot a few times which feels totally unrealistic. Would love to hear your thoughts on whether there is scope to improve these bots somehow to make them more realistic.

Same with me, 800 rating, easily defeating the 1500 bots

at 4:50 I saw Qc5 then Nf5 discovered attack and the white Queen seems trapped because the Knight that moved also now covers the remaining two escape squares but then I actually found Qxb5 followed by Bxb5 and Bxb5+, meaning the black Queen is forced to go Qxb5 and then Nb5 recaptures and we're still a piece up plus a pawn now.
@jonathancauley53455 ай бұрын
Wow that was super cool!!

I found Qf3+ followed by Nf7 and disagreed with Nelson's choice (not that it matters in such a position) so I am glad the engine proved me right. To be honest, I only looked at the response Bc6, but nevertheless...
@clivethereddevil31785 ай бұрын
7:15 Nxf7 is also good. After ..Kxf7 then Qxd7+ Kg8; Qxe6+ then Qxc8 or Nxf7 Rh7 ;Ng5 Rh6;then Bxd5 exd5 and after e6 there is no pawn on f7.

learn basic openings, at least 1 for black and white, do some puzzles, and play til you learn to concentrate and stop blundering stupid stuff. good luck

Kings Indian for black and scholars for white, should easily get you past 400

At that level just play games. Maybe review the games you lose to figure out what you're losing on (time? blunders? Missed tactics?), but mostly it's just about things becoming more natural with practice when you're starting out.
@natalyawoop42635 ай бұрын
Play games and just focus on not blundering pieces.
