Well, some considerations: (1) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (2) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But indispensable and simply indescribable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. The baby is Dimash's who grow up to be the leader leading people to light and peace

That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character and his 2 friends are linked in eternal friendship through childhood stories and a symbol (necklace). One day, the friend saves the protagonist when he is drowning. However, there is already competition in this children's story as the boys are in love with the girl and she chooses 'Dimash'. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which also served as a sea compass before antiquity. Uniform wearers wear this symbol on their heads. So it can't work. The second experiences a kind of nervous breakdown and transfers the children's problems into the world of adult totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming President, the antagonist (Piper - in reference to the 'Pied Piper of Hamelin') carries within himself the idea of a war to save: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We will guide all who are ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no business with us. I choose freedom. The world is open to me and I want to give it to you. War for the people is the way to unity.” The main character also speaks of unity, of peace, but through the lens of kindness and love. While fighting, he is confused, he is in shock, but he has to save his family - his pregnant wife (the very girl from his childhood) and his daughter. Once home, he is horrified by the picture of the dead and realizes that his family is also dead. After surviving this drama, he moves on to the antagonist to seek revenge. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. These are people of different nationalities and faiths who have united for peace. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. By uniting, they create a common energy in which the protagonist’s son is born, as Hope and Faith for the Better. Their journey is a symbol of faith in general, because it always goes through trials. When we go to the truth, we go through certain lessons and our way to God is difficult, but only possible if we come together. Dimash also wrote the screen play. Follow the necklaces. There are only 3. Dimash, the boy, who saved Dimash and became the military dictator, and the little girl, who became Dimash's wife. They have a daughter, and his wife is pregnant with his son. The wife's necklace is past to the son, who is leading the religious leaders (note most all prominent religions are represented ) at the end. Yes you have to watch the movie, maybe with the sound turned down, just for the story, and then go to the live version at his concert to hear just the music. 3 years in the making. So the current situation was not a factor, but it certainly hit the mark. It was suppose to premiere in Russia, but Russia was already involved in the on going mess. So it was not shown there.

Welcome back ❤️ You're right, there are layers & layers of meaning in this film, but you definitely got the gist of it right. Actually when the evil leader first comes into view the pendant is already visible on his desk. He's also chosen this shape as his emblem. The pendant is part of a navigation device, and the hole is for the sunlight to fall through. So the fact that his symbol has no hole signifies that this man has no orientation & has gone wildly astray. He has internalised this moment of rejection by his childhood crush, and he preserves it in his choice of emblem. Just as he takes his insecurity & resentment out on the whole world. He chooses to distort this symbol of love & friendship & righteousness into the horrible opposite. A searing endictment of war mongers & tyrants, through just one symbol. And there is much more. Thank you Andrea, good to see you again. The necklace is a gnomon which is the main part of a sundial. The tall boy who saved the drowning boy grows to be the commander. His symbol is bent = he has lost his way. He has a warped idea of peace and war. The girl had rejected him and chose the boy who made the necklaces. They married and had the little girl that was killed. She gives birth to their baby boy. She dies in childbirth at the moment that the soldier (the drowning boy grown up) dies. That boy grows to be the soldier - played by Dimash. He is her husband and the father of the girl that dies and the baby that is born at the moment of his death. The baby wears the symbol from his mother and he becomes the leader in the robe. He is also the father/soldier reincarnated and he is also Dimash, giving a tiny smile at the camera. Telling us that he is leading us all to peace and the light and life. All religions are represented struggling up the mountain toward the light. Dimash performed this at the conference for religions where the Pope attended. The Pope gave him a medal of gold for Dimash's work towards peace. He performed this live at his recent concert. Thank you for your observations on Dimash's amazing vocals and the amazing story. Dimash worked on this for 3 yrs, on multiple countries and used about 400 people. An unbelievable and moving work of art. The words at the end were from the conference on religions. This is unlike any other. It is incredible and has a message to touch everyone. It is about peace and saving the earth.

Great reaction! It's all about symbolism. The "dictator is the guy who in the begining saved him from drowning. He also falls in love in his girlfriend but gets rejected as he then gets his neckless, love can be a blessing but also a curse. That child that got killed is supposed to be his daughter. At the end he's seeing his whole life as we've seen it flash by as he's dying only to apear again in the form of a shepard for symbolics of the journey we all bare towards the light after death ending in peace and calm with his best memory in time with his love on that beach. But on a personal look at it... "We are all one, all shares living on the same planet Earth but the end of the journey we all have to do alone as you are your own sheppard in the "valley of death" regardless of what religion you believe in." There are beliefs in ancient and re-discouvered in a way thinking that we are all God and God is all of us. God can be anything and everything and anywhere both in time and place no matter religion but the idea is that we choose life and we choose to live on Earth that is suppose to be hardest trial and we keep living lives until we get transcended to unite with "The Oneness". If you have something "unfinished" you will keep the cycle going (Old souls) untill you can move on. We are all connected to everything around us, the land we walk, the air we breathe and eachother and even Earth and universe itself. Another observation is that the guy who seems to be reading the Koran, migh actrually read the book of "akasha records (up in the sky, the all oness of knowledge)". Hello Andrea - welcome back! Although the cinematography in this video is spectacular, I’ll suggest watching the live performance from the Almaty concert in September of 2022. Amazing! I’ll leave the detailed breakdown to others, but there is evidently a libretto for this video which details the various relationships: Piper is the older boy who rescued Dimash at the beginning and he appeared to have been smitten by the little girl who only had Dimash in her heart. Piper became the leader (the crazy Piper reference). The little girl grew to be Dimash’s wife and the mother to both the little girl killed by the soldiers and the baby boy born at the end. I’ve heard two variations: Reincarnation and the didn’t die possibility🙃

I have looked and looked for the names of the cast, but cannot find anything mentioning them. What absolute perfection in storytelling and getting the message that we need peace across to the world. To see a child on film is painful, but to know children's lives are lost every day across the world in wars is tragic. It needs to stop, and it can if we all stand united. No matter what faith you are, pray for unity that leads to peace.

Dimash composed his, conducted it, acted it, sang it and put it in movie format, rocketing it into 21st century music history and the industry is reeling ! A 3 year effort and first of its kind ! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony. He is a Legend and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, and the other boy grew resentment with time and grew up to become the Piper and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. Andrea, I am glad you finally saw the leader holding his necklace from when he saved Dimash on the beach but I think you missed the symbol was also on the podium and his uniform hat. The girl and Dimash were the parents of the girl he found shot and the son born at the end who grew up looking like Dimash as he led the people away. The Pope was at the debut of this most expensive video ever made that took 3 years to make. He gave Dimash an award and I hope it was the first of many awards, especially I hope he will get a Peace Prize.

The first letters of the words of the song's title make up SOS. The symbol found by the young Dimash in the fishing box is part of an old compass, and a beam of light penetrates through the hole, indicating the CORRECT DIRECTION (!!!). On the symbol of the military leader, a former friend of Dimash, this hole is not - there is no correct direction. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April 1945. As a native German, I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed out buildings were women and children. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. Soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage,race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time.
