Born Mandalorians can remove their helmet! Only the "foundlings" that were made into Mandalorians cannot remove the Helmet. When they were given the helmet they became a new person a mandalorian. Removing the helmet would be the same as throwing away their identity as Mandalorian and the sacrifice in resources that were made for you to become one.

This show & Jedi Fallen Order gave us a more authentic Star Wars experience than the sequel trilogy did.

Dave filoni and jon favreau did such a good job with this series, they deserve to be doing the movies

Season one in summary, a damn fine space western opera.

Show wise: 9/10 Star Wars wise: The best Star Wars thing in years (besides the recent game).

Season 2 needs longer episodes and hopefully more than 8 of them. This show does so much right for Star Wars but it needs more time to flesh everything out.

The thing about episode five is that it is a set up for season 2. Same for episode six. But going back to five, it could have taken place on any planet, but they chose tatooine for a reason. Mando tells us that Fennick worked for the hutts and fennick mentioned she was meeting up with someone at her rendezvous point. We also get the verbal clue of “she’s no good to us dead.” Plus Mando has to ride a dew back to get back to mos eisley. Disney wanted to do a boba series, but he is to black and white to make him a good anti hero. He has no heart, and it weakens the boba fandom to give him heart. He is the mystery character at the end whom finds fennick dead. I assume he follows the dewbacks tracks back to the hanger, interrogates the mechanic, and is now on the trail of Mando by following the wreckage and detestation he has left behind him... ie the destruction of the space dock in episode six and episodes 7 and 8. He has to have the time to track him, especially when he finds out from the mechanic that he was a Mandalorian, identifies and describes the razor crest and possibly divulges info about the child. So I am positive he will show up in season 2 to act as a secondary threat since the guild is no longer after Mando. This ups the stakes for our hero since he has both the empire and a bounty hunter on his tail.

You know, I always knew they were never actually angry at each other when joe interrupted, but I admit I like this new social agreement they have. Where they are still very passionate but they control themselves and show respect for each other and let each other finish their thoughts. They still do a slight interruption but it's still respectful and really there just to voice their opinions or correct each other, also the "SKKIIUUUPPP" was hilarious

Rebels confirms Sabine is alive post Episode 6 and she's helping Ahsoka find Ezra who has gone missing. My theory is that Bo Katan is alive and she is the female Mandalorian in this show. Also Sabine wouldn't be the first character to come over from the tv show. Saw Garrera did it first.

This is a long shot but as a fan of Republic Commando I hope they implement the Mandalorian war chant “Vode An” into season 2. Just imagine how epic seeing all the Mandalorians sing this before a battle with the Moff’s forces or during a ceremonial event for Baby Yoda/Din Djarin

The Mandalorian reminded me a bit of the old series Kung Fu - an orphan raised by a creed of warriors flees to America and travels from town to town in the old west, pursued by lawmen and bounty hunters.

For me the best thing about Mandalorian is that I want to see more new Star Wars again. Man, TLJ was rough. Godspeed Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. I hope these guys and their team get proper control of Star Wars.

It's so nice The Mandalorian respects the expanded universe. Meanwhile I'm pretty sure the producers of the sequels don't know or care about it. Things like the Sith wayfinder not being called a holocron or not knowing about jet troopers strongly suggest this. Forget expanded universe - they don't even know the film lore since original trilogy TIE fighters can suddenly hyperdrive.

The mystery character in episode 5 'The Gunslinger' is Bo-Katan. She is after the dark saber. Bo-Katan is also one of the 'established' characters expected to be in season 2 referenced by Favreau. I have spoken.

The fact that this even exists, star wars on fricken TV, looking and feeling like Star Wars is a 10/10. The fact they took this risk and actually pulled it off.

What if the character that was tracking Mando and found Fennic Shan’s body was Cad Bane? His fate was never canonically decided at the end of the clone wars. And he doesn’t seem like the type to retire.

It’s a strong 7 or 8. Other Joe is right in that the pacing and length of the episodes is a big issue. Rewatched them and they are somewhat inconsistent even though they take place right after the other. Also, episode 4 is really bad. And I don’t blame the writing but the director. It’s acting is very wooden, out of place jokes from cameos, the Mandalorian has dementia apparently, and it’s way too abbreviated compared to the rest in terms of arcs and content

My favorite scene was when the IG robot grabs baby Yoda and goes on a killing spree to save the day. The music was absolutely perfect and a great season finale. The Mandalorian and The Witcher are better than most big budget movies.

I honestly love the direction of the mandalorian series with a tip of the hat towards the old western genre. For me personally the series was a 10/10.

Some mainstream news outlets are spreading rumours that Rian Johnson wants to direct a Mandalorian episode for Season 2. I think he will subvert our expectation and make Din Djarin a mutated Gungan, and Baby Yoda is just a muppet.

REVAN was referenced within the Mandalorian!! The Blacksmith lady straight up makes Revan Cannon. When she said that 'One of these sorcerers killed Mandalore', she was referencing Revan defeating Mandalore the Ultimate in Single Combat, ending the Mandalorian wars in the old republic era!! Bruv this is soo hype!!!

I was thinking about this as a fun theory to just think about, not saying that any of it was intended by Favreau or not, it might be a total coincidence or who knows maybe by a long shot this is actually what he meant. The theory is that Baby Yoda is a symbol and he represents a personification of Star Wars. He represents both the original heartbeat of Star Wars in the form of being a Yoda species but his age and his place in the world, in this show, is allegorically representative of where Star Wars actually is right now in the real world. * He's alien, no one really knows where he came from or how he was made, but he is captivating and mysterious and you want to learn more about him. * He has the Force, and the other characters all have never seen it before so far in the entire show. It's like every time he uses it, we see the mystery and wonderment that you had the first time you ever saw Star Wars as a young kid. * He is reborn, and he is a stranger in a new world. He is simultaneously the most notorious signature Star Wars character (or one of them at the top) and a brand new totally different being, who needs to learn everything from the ground up again. The Master Yoda has passed on, the old guard George Lucas and the original Lucasfilms have gone to Force Heaven and Star Wars (Baby Yoda) is now an orphan, but luckily there are some people in the world who will help him grow and care for him. * He's pure and he's good intentioned, but like we saw in the arm wrestling incident with Cara Dune, he is just as capable of using the Dark Side, he doesn't know yet which is which, so he is like a very powerful blank slate.There is a massive risk if he ends up in the wrong hands. * He is small and he is helpless in a big scary world with people all around, plenty who want to kill him. * The Empire wants him at all costs for their bidding * Star Wars thematically was always heavy on the 'against all odds' 'courage in the face of victory' a small little rebellion vs. an all powerful empire, a sort of purity in humanity including some flaws vs. a much bigger and more powerful corrupted force driven by greed. * OT Yoda also was a walking message for don't judge me by my size, he even said as much. All of this is perhaps the writers trying to express from the inside, the type of odds that Star Wars is up against right now if it wants to maintain its heart and the magic that rocketed it to world recognition. * We must bring him to his 'species planet', back to 'where he came from' back to his home. This is like a projection of the ultimate mission for Star Wars in its current day. They are saying that the overall goal must be to get him back to his natural habitat where he sees what his roots are, and then from there, he will grow and become his own self with his own unique ways of being, but it will have safely maintained the roots of Star Wars and bring that magic forward to future generations, but right now, they have to help him find a home and a centerplace to grow from in this chaotic galaxy filled with scum and villainy and those who would like to extract his magic for their own greedy power-hungry desires.

The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian are perfect examples of why I really think Star Wars is meant for TV rather than film. And that's not meant to be a slight-the world is so BIG and so VAST that I actually think film does it a disservice. Through TV, it'll allow for worlds and characters to truly evolve and interact with each other, feel completely natural. TV just allows for more time than film, and while a good film will utilize every bit of frame they have wisely, a bad film will squander it. After feeling such disappointment in Star Wars after Rise of Skywalker, I went back and binged my favorite Clone Wars and Mandalorian episodes and was quickly reminded why I love Star Wars to begin with: *_the characters._* These shows allow for great character interactions which is where SW shines and to be honest.....I think that's where Star Wars should head at least for now. Imagine a Luke Skywalker series of him trying to rebuild the Jedi Order, the Obi-Wan series sounds interesting, and sure have more trilogies, do more films, just please Disney for the love of God have a game plan ahead of time.

The Mandalorian finally aired in the UK. And it has given me some hope for Star Wars. Hands down was better than the entire sequel trilogy. Not that those films are completely irredeemable but The Mandalorian has the spark which was missing.

Hey Joe, if you guys are able to fit it into your schedule, I'd love to see your review on the show "Carnival Row" on Amazon Prime Video. It surprised me and has me looking forward to season two. It's like a Victorian-era/European mythology/Tolkien-esque fantasy world that even mixes in some Gothic horror elements too. Orlando Bloom does a great job I think too and is in a different role than I've ever seen him in. Less action-oriented (still plenty of it though), swash-buckling young fighter, and more of a grizzled veteran who's been through some shit and clearly has been affected by it. Cara Delevingne, in my opinion, was in her best role yet. I felt she did justice to the character she was to portray. Anyway, I haven't heard many people talk about the show and thought I'd shout it out. It may have just flown under the radar as it did for me since it came out in summer I think. Another positive is that season two apparently will be released by the summer of 2020, so not long to wait at all.
