Two of the writers (Tom Gormican, Kevin Etten) wrote The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, which had drama, comedy, and action and was a great movie!

It actually looks good and I'm happy to finally see a good looking Eddie Murphy film after so long.

I don't yet know whether my nostalgia is beating my better judgement. It doesn't look horrible and even if it's just a forgettable but enjoyable two hours on a sunday I would count it a win.

Love that you see who the writers are. Should do that for each trailer/ movie.

Bad Boys For Life seems to have sparked an interest in bringing back these older action franchises. Mel Gibson is doing Lethal Weapon 5, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are possibly doing Rush Hour 4, Nicholas Cage spoke about a possible Face/Off 2, and even Pierce Brosnan is interested in bringing back his version of James Bond as an older man.

When are we getting The Nutty Professor 3? Yet Another 48 Hours? Return of the Golden Child?

Great to see Bronson Pinchot back as Serge. Beverly Hills Cop, Lethal Weapon, and Rush Hour should have a shared universe. Let's see Eddie Murphy, Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, Joe Pesci, Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, and Jackie Chan next to each other.

Looks really good. Loved 48 hours and Beverly Hills Cop movies. 1980s to this day still have the greatest action cop movies.

Glad to see his partners return. Didnt blow me away but hopefully they are saving the juicy bits for the movie and these aren’t the highlights.

It looks like fun , beverely hills one and 2 came out in 1984 and 1987 consecutively ,and eddie murphy looks in pretty good shape .

I'm with Alex on this one, whoever made this trailer just knew what the fans of these movies wanted and they hit the nail in straight in the head. It had everything, the music (I even liked the modernization of the theme mixed with Notorious BIG), Rosewood and Taggart, the throwbacks... it got me in the first few seconds and now I can't wait for this. I hope it won't be a fuckup. EM said that he was waiting for the right script and Bruckheimer is on a roll reviwing his great franchises is great manner (Top Gun Maverick was pretty high up there).

And possibly...Axel may have a new partner in the P.D. you didn't mention him.. and he's hard to recognize but Jospeh Gordon Levitt is on the trailer talking to Axel as he looks at his file. I've heard rumors he's a major supporting character.

The premise for the Movie states: After the death of an old friend, Axel works with his estranged daughter and her ex, to investigate a conspiracy within the Beverly Hills Police Department.

It at least felt like a decent trailer. Wasn't expecting this at all but it at least nails a little of that nostalgia from the originals. Have to see if it lives up to that but I'm at least interested in checking it out.

Skeptical ima say…i can already feel there bringing his partners “Taggert and Billy” back for 2 min cameos when there almost as crucial as Axel in the franchise…the “Serge and Jeffrey” cameos is cool but Jeffrey is in the trailer more than Taggert or Billy which is fine but…unless his partners are there for atleast half the time…im skeptical

I loved all 3 especially 3 even. So I'm very excited to see this one. It's gonna touch the nostalgia in me so regardless of what critics say. I'm gonna enjoy it 😅

Dolemite on Netflix was really good and Eddie was brilliant. So fingers crossed this isn't too safe.

The previous duo actually directed Bad Boys For Life before they directed Batgirl. I didn't have any issues with the action although I didn't care for the story.. even though i actually liked the new additions for the team they introduced.

Jerry Bruckheimer did well with Top Gun:Maverick. I'm sure this will be really good.

Some of the scenes actually reminded me of GTA 6 trailer.

The most important thing is that Jerry Bruckheimer is (also) producing, which is a good sign 🤞 (he did it with Top Gun, why not with this?). Also Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are not bad directors, they also did 'Bad Boys for Life', (also produced by Bruckheimer) that was when they were approached for doing Beverly Hills Cop, but of course Disney had to mess this up, by hiring them to do Bat-girl, which as you said went well... That's how Mark Molloy came up. Also Lorne Balfe is doing the music (Mission Impossible Fallout, Dead Reckoning, Bad Boys for Life). I don't know, I feel kinda hopeful, I think it's gonna be good.

Now we need Rush Hour 4!

This is gonna be on the same level as Bad Boys 3.

Beverly Hill Cop 3 - Wonder World is my favourite of the trilogy so far. I know Eddie didn’t like it and the audience reviews were very mixed, but it’s one of just a handful of films set inside an actual theme park. Its basically Die Hard in Disneyland and for that alone, its my favourite.
