It triggers me so much when people say "oh, Darth Maul is back, so Rebels must be canon now". Darth Maul was back in the Clone Wars TV series years before Disney even got Star Wars!!! I barely watch TCW and Rebels, and even I know that!

The Darth Maul stuff is cool. BUT: We know exactly how it ends, from Rebels. It ends in one of the best fights in this new Star Wars, and the absolute best in Rebels. I would've been extremely happy if they kept that fight to the Kenobi movie, but that ship sailed.

Predictable: sure Entertaining and a solid film, ABSOLUTELY.

There have almost always been more than 2 sith, Dooku as the master to Ventress, while he served under Sideous. But she would have to kill Dooku before she could learn that there is another. They keep it compartmentalized, and PUBLICIZE "The Rule of Two". It keeps them from being wiped out by the jedi as the jedi stop once they kill the second one they find. Do yourself a favor and at least watch the Clone Wars Episode when Maul gets wrecked by Sideous. "You are no longer my apprentice, You have been REPLACED" Sideous to Maul.

I bought the romance between Han and Q'ra. Of course he ends up with Leia eventually but did you honestly expect Han to never me up with any girl before Leia?

Am i the only person that really liked this movie. Like sure it wasnt perfect, like landos stupid droid and the corellian scenes but i really thought that this was just more enjoyable than the last 2 star wars movies. The actors all looked like they were having fun and i felt star wars without shoving it in my face like rogue one did. 7/10 for me which is way better than i couldve hoped for this

This film is a ton of fun until you start overanalysing it and trying to link it up with the rest of the Star Wars universe. It’s a completely different experience, and I think it’s better to appreciate it for what it is

I love how in the beginning of the movie the main criminal mentor of Han, his wife mentions Bossk, I really wish I saw either Bossk, Dengar, or Boba. They all tie into Hans story actually so it would work.

The Boba Fett movie would be awesome if it covered him in the mandalorian wars and his rise (he is a famous mandalorian warrior). If it turns into the history of mandalore move and his rise from that to the best bounty hunter in the galaxy THAT WOULD BE TIGHT!

I found it a bit odd that when Han is thrown in the pit with Chewie at the start of the movie, he’s yelling for mercy and telling Chewie that he’s on his side, but Chewie doesn’t understand him until he speaks his native language. Then one scene later, Chewie apparently understands his English perfectly well

The kessel run was done extra fast because he didn't follow the path and instead he flew into the clouded asteroid area (i think they had a name for that part, like Bermuda or whatever it was).

I did really like how they added Darth Maul from Star Wars Rebels it seems like from what we could tell by his current lightsaber

They kill him off in rebels before this movie came out still nice to see him in the big screen but after seeing him die in rebels kinda sucks

Darth Maul comes back in the Clone Wars series actually, and dips into Rebels as well. As far as her becoming his apprentice, who knows. He tries to make Ezra his apprentice so who knows, it could happen. He's also not a Sith anymore. Kind of his own faction. I don't think they'll recreate the Obi-Wan scene. They might show how Darth Maul ends up on Malachor that leads into Rebels. Over all, the film was enjoyable. It had it's share of problems with missing a main antagonist and having wonky pacing in a couple acts. But there was such great choices made in this movie that I couldn't help but have a huge ass smile during them, like the Maul reveal. Han himself felt great during most of it. This is the beginning of his origin story, so the dark and greedy side of him has yet to develop which we will probably see in the sequel. I think he hits rock bottom in the next one that transitions him into the Episode 4 Han we all know. Donald Glover did really well too. His Lando impersonation was really great and I honestly believed it entirely.

Glad you liked it! On the first viewing it felt a bit flat, but on the second I thought it was awesome. Exactly the kind of Star Wars movie we needed right now!

What I liked that was new and refreshing in this movie : No mention of the Force (beside seeing Maul 1 second), the Battlefield on Mimban where troopers felt like regular people and not evil henchmans. The harsh life of the citizens, not only focus on the main heroes. World building was great as well. This movie didn't blow my mind, but didn't upset me. I'd say mayb they could have focus on a better story, but I don't feel it useless. It's more like a Bonus content to my star wars fandom. I'd rate it 7.5/10 (standard rating, not joe's style)

Actually among the Enfys Nest ( the masked dudess gang) we can see guys that we later see in RO in Saw's rebel cell. It's kinda interesting to think that maybe they were rebels all along just going after the fuel. And as Saw is a extremist among the rebels, they can use ruthlesness as a cover to pose as pirates...or maybe I'm reading to much into it. But i like this kind of small things...

Maul was amazing in that moment for a multitude of reasons. First, although Ray Park was brought back as his physical actor, Sam Witwer (the voice of Maul and Palpatine in Rebels/Clone Wars and the original Starkiller) did his voice. Second, he had robot legs, the same ones he had at the end of Clone Wars and throughout Rebels. Third, he had an Inquisitor lightsaber, which is seen a lot throughout Rebels. Fourth, this is definitely before Rebels because... SPOILERS: Obi Wan killed him in a really intense stand-off on Tatooine.

We got the hut foreshadowing, the maul meeting them lead on. Maul isn't a sith anymore at this point. I cant remember if his brother and mother are completely gone at this point.

I actually went in thinking i was going to hate this movie, especially after looking at ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. So lets just say i went in with super low expectations from the very get go, i was pleasantly surprised as it turned out actually being much better than i expected and i honestly think people might be rating this a bit harshly. The movie isn't without its faults and could have used some more polish and while i will say its obviously not my favorite movie in the franchise i feel confident in saying that in at least my opinion it was MUCH better than The Last Jedi.

I'm surprised that *Darth Maul* is in the movie.

You guys keep talking about this as if knowing the outcome makes the journey less interesting. In a way it does, but prequels are interesting not because we know how everything is going to end, but because we get to see how we get there. Yes, as soon as they mention the Kessel run, we know they're going to make it out alive. But how did they do it? Would you have preferred that there was no risk or danger since *technically* we know they make it? (Also, for the record, they didn't break the Kessel run record because they "used boosters," they did it because Han took the short-cut through the maw and managed to make it out alive, which no ship had ever been able to do. Like, normally I don't mind people getting some details in expansive universes wrong because I'm definitely no expert, but when you're wrong about something and then use it as a cheap shot, that's not okay.) Yes, we know Han isn't going to end up with Qi'ra. But how does that manifest? You said so yourself they didn't do the obvious thing, and doesn't that make it worth it? And how does that change Han? It was clear in this movie that he's not the same guy he is in the OT, and everything he went through brought him closer and closer to the scoundrel we all know. Yes, we know Han and Chewie end up best buds, and it is a bit of a stretch to go from total strangers to life-long companions in one movie, but honestly, when Chewie stays with Han instead of going back with his tribe, that's a big deal! And Qi'ra probably saw that since she was in the battle with them. And yeah, the betrayal was obvious, but was Han's reaction obvious? No. They gave you the big "Don't trust anyone" bit, but I'm willing to bet most of us missed the "People are predictable" bit. It was a good twist-counter-twist moment that bridged the gap between Han being a bit of a naive optimist to cunning strategist. And omg. Han isn't the same as he is in the OT? They actually gave his character a beginning to tie into the middle and the end we already know? Yeah you're right that is disappointing. They showed none of him being a good pilot? They had the Kessel run! He was bobbin and weavin and dodgin everything! How many minutes of skilled flying do you need to see in a movie to be satisfied? Like what's the ratio of flying to other stuff? You do know that the only reason Han went over to hug Lando was to get Lando's card sleeve device, right? Like I'm pretty sure Han was ready to fight until he knew he saw a way to beat Lando at his own game. I don't think Han and Lando are necessarily great friends on great terms. It seems like they have this love-hate relationship built upon respect more than anything, so there's plenty of ways to explore that without separating them until Empire.

The kessel run: the thing here was that kessel is sorrounded by a nebula that is too dangerous to pass through, there is a passagge that it´s safe to use but it takes AT LEAST 20 parsecs from entrance to exit to cross it. In the movie Han goes through the nebula regardless of danger, hence instead of being the 20 parsecs that every other ship uses he only travels 12 parsecs (rounded down :P ), the bit with the fuel was just so they could reach the end without getting crushed by the giant boulders... or at least that´s how i understood it :)

Joe... it's an origin story... at every single point you knew that Han was not going to die, you knew that Lando wasn't going to die... Come on - I actually think it was cool that the ship stalled and gave it that: Hey... no what?! moment... where the film might just change something and then it didn't...
