GameCube Animal Crossing is my personal favorite. It just feels more natural than the other AC games. I love the way the villagers speak in this game a lot more than the later games. The blocky sort of art style it has is really amazing too. It just has that classical feel that you don’t really get from other games.

Yes! Just purchased a gamecube, animal crossing and a few other titles. Have new horizons, it's fun but I don't want to craft everything, become mayor and the animals are too nice.

2:30 Yep, she is totally lying. If you asked for clothing, it'll be a regular piece of clothing instead of the Gracie brand. If you asked for stationery paper, she would just take the fish away and give you nothing in return. (Even though the animation shows them giving you stationery, but nothing will be in the inventory spot where the fish was.) If you asked for bells, she would just give you around 250 bells or so.

This is actually the first footage of the 1st ac I watch and... it looks so interesting and lively! You really made me want to play it! I started with wild world and just realized that since the gamecube one they removed a lot of cool interactions and villagers activities. + the dialogues look funnier. Hope they get back to this level in new horizons! It seems really promising so fingers crossed!

I know your comment is a year old, but how are you enjoying NH? Personally I hate it. It’s just not fun to play unless you like designing more than interactions. The GameCube version is still by far my favorite one

@@plhector Sadly, I must agree with you: I don't hate NH, but if you don't like terraforming your island and changing your house/island all the time, it gets repetitive and frankly boring real quick. I have stopped playing actively since half a year now, because the villagers feel a bit liveless. They have some funny lines, but after a while you've basically circled through them all, and I personally play for the day to day life on the town with them, so that was a huge bummer. Yes, they have funny animations here and there, but that's all really. No flea market, no scheduled gym, they CAN'T EVEN VISIT YOU... no brewster... no little mysteries to find like the UFOs... so much is missing, just to make place to the terraforming. I bought a main ac game, not ac home designer. You can really see it in the community: most posts are about people's pretty town and patterns.

I haven't played Animal Crossing since this version on the GameCube when it came out, and I just found these in my suggested feed. This is bringing me back so much nostalgia, and I'm so excited for New Horizons!!

I loved this game so much, i used to play it every day before and after school - i always remember my villagers getting really salty at me if i didnt buy their stuff - this was one game that i call my childhood 😊

We'll see. But it might be the other way around, things you can do in New Leaf but not New Horizons. Newer games are expected to have more features, but I think it will be interesting to see which features *don't* return.

When I first found your channel I expected you to only be uploading vids on new horizons, but I must say I was pleased to see that you invest just as much time in the older releases. New horizons is spectacular, but I miss some of the elements of the older games which gave them such unique character. Thanks for keeping them alive on this channel. Please never stop crossing!

I bought animal crossing for GameCube after watching your videos! Now I own all of them (except amiiboo festival for obvious reasons). Your villagers seem a lot more active than mine! Is that because you’ve been playing longer and have higher friendships with them?

I don't know if that makes them more active, but maybe just because it's the more interesting moments that I post in the videos. If a villager doesn't initially respond to a ball though, keep bumping it close to them and they may surprise you.

Kind of a weird question, but when is your birthday? In the past, you've made videos on pretty much all of the Animal Crossing holidays, but I don't recall you ever recording what happens on the player's birthday.

If I recall on the GameCube AC game, one of your villagers will appear at your house with a present on your birthday that would either be a NES game if you have a really close relationship or some random item if you aren’t close to your villager, you also get a birthday cake from Mom, and cards in the mail from villagers

This video covers well over a decade, and I've used many different tunes over that span. Let me know which one and I'll get you the notes if possible. (But if it was one of the default tunes, I may not know the notes).

That's The Final Countdown. Enter BAB-e-zCBCBA-zz, with the capital letters being the highest notes (B is higher, b is lower) and z representing the silence option.

The villagers seem “nicer” in newer titles like ACNH, but I miss how they would clap for you when you catch a fish in the GC version. Also love the videos! Just subscribed to your channel 😊
