Annitsford. BR Blue Layout

Annitsford is my mates BR Blue layout that is under construction. It's DCC Sound and is in the Loft. It will be based around a mainline through station with a few goods sidings and a TMD. The fiddle yard will go uder the windows. Expect to see varied workings running through the station including RTC, Departmental, coal, steel and of course loco hauled passenger stock. Plus the odd 125 and DMU!
I like to watch layouts as they develop on KZfaq rather than just vids of the finished article. If you feel the same drop in a comment or give it a thumbs up rating and I'll keep a video diary of the layouts construction. In the future I'll also try to keep the camera a bit steadier!
Any questions ask and I'll try to get them answered!

This layout ois more like it. One that actually has the correct distances between tracks and nice sweeping curves for modern rolling stock..

Hello. Thanks for the comments. I haven't needed to buy a booster for the NCE, everything runs fine. However, now the whole layout is live and powered up, I will invest soon, as the current Powercab only gives you to switch between 2 locos when running. A booster would increase this to 6, I think that's more than enough for one operator to concentrate on! At the moment I am concentrating on installing point motors in the fiddle yard, and wiring it all up.

Is that insulation in the rafters , makes the light bounce around & brighter in the attic with ita alloy backing, looks to be a great system with realistic curves etc. great to see an attic railway in progress. ... Jim.

What's that middle bit of track going into the platform? What a load of crap!! Get rid of it!

Take no notice of him, it's your layout. You can do what you want. And good luck to you, travelled from Annitsford to Morpeth for 2 years from 1948. On a British Legion day out to Redcar, the down platform was crowded and the train was so long it had to move on to take the rest of the passengers.
