Great sound on the 08, was the lights a kit or did you do them yourself.

Little query. Has the rear (front) coupling rod got a bend in it? Why is there a small square fitment on the other coupling?

A dangerous place to work with 60mph scale speed wagons flying willy nilly.

What's that middle bit of track going into the platform? What a load of crap!! Get rid of it!

Take no notice of him, it's your layout. You can do what you want. And good luck to you, travelled from Annitsford to Morpeth for 2 years from 1948. On a British Legion day out to Redcar, the down platform was crowded and the train was so long it had to move on to take the rest of the passengers.

Although I much prefer the steam era, this is very nicely done and beautifully modelled.

The strange thing about Guisborough is that after the closure of the signal box at Guisborough the twin track line was operated as two single track lines - one for freight and 1 for passenger trains with passenger trains to/from Whitby/Scarborough in one direction and Middlesbrough and beyond having to either reverse out of or into the station. I believe that there was consideration of building a through station, but nothing came of it.

Absolutely believable, and the driving is a lesson to many other operators, who either drive too fast so that their trains look 'whizzy', and do not stop or start smoothly, or too slow so that everything crawls around at a walking pace. Observation of real trains shows that they accelerate and decelerate smoothy, fairly smoothly even under emergency braking, and progress in a steady and solid fashion, without the jerking and jolting too often seen on models. I realise that this is not as easily achievable as it might seem, especially at exhibitions where temperature variations may affect the running and the operators may not know how each individual train will react to the controller in all circumstances, but this layout shows it can be done, and looks brilliant!
