The movie is danish (duh) and the drinking culture here is VERY different from other places, you Can buy alcohol up to 16% at 16 years old, so young people drink a lot here, not having an addiction per se, but drinking and being drunk is a lot more common here then in other places around the world.

I didn’t get this the first time, but the guy who died had been an alcoholic for years. That’s why he was hiding that much alcohol and that’s why he committed suicide😢

Omg!!!! I was happy that you reacted to this because I am a big Mads Mikkelsen fan! If you are interested in watching more of his movies Riders of Justice was a really good recent one if you haven’t seen it! Also, Mads was a gymnast and a dancer before he became an actor which would explain why the ending dance was so good!

Excellent reaction. I was thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. I highly recommend Riders of Justice if you find the time. It's also Danish, also features Mads Mikkelsen, and was such a welcome breath of fresh air for me, in regards to what I usually watch.

I love this film Another Round directed by Thomas Vinterberg and starring by Mads Mikkelsen. This film won an Oscar for best International feature film. In my opinion the ending is my favorite scene just epic. Thank you bro great reaction excellent👍👍👍👍👍👍

The school the teachers are working at, is a gymnasium. The students are around 18-21 years old. It is the last step before university or similar educations in Denmark. But even in normal school from 7th grade, we have exams, where you draw a number and pick a topic to talk about. Most exams though are in writing.

No the students are around 15 to 18 years. Very few students at Gymnasium are above 18.

@@niko1ndex 15 is confirmation age, which takes place in 7th grade. So you think Danish students enter gymnasium, after 6th or 7th grade?!

@@akyhneu are right beside the confirmation age is at 13-14 in 7th grade. In my 9th grade we were around 15-16 age when we finished school and starts gymnasium after that summer.

they are celebrating they did make the exame and done in school , and all the students in the movie are the Thomas Vinterberg daughters fellow student from her class , and she did dies befor the movie was finish

i mean i was already a massive alcoholic for years before this movie came out but i tried the 'drink slowly all day long' thing for a bit and it did pretty much work like the movie showed. social job at the time as a server at a restaurant, less stress. but as an alcoholic i couldn't keep it in check and would go overboard and got sent home a couple times so i'm back to drinking after all my responsibilities for the day are done. also mads mikkelsen is my boyfriend

It went downhill when they over-indulged. Like you kind of said near the end, "positives and negatives", the concept they have in the UK is moderation. Somebody who never drinks, "teetotaler", won't be as fun as somebody who can drink. But then when they don't control how much they drink, they are annoying and overbearing.

% means per cent (one in one hundred) ‰ with two zeros means per mille (one in one thousand. So an alcohol percentage of 0,05 is the same as 0,05% or 0,5‰. Alchohol level is usually measured in per mille. The legal level for driving a car in Denmark is below 0,5‰.

And the record breaking BAC you you showed at 30:29, was in percentage. Almost 10 times higher than what their alcohol levels were in Another Round. That is absolutely insane. I've seen TV shows with real police officers stopping drunk drivers. None of them had an alcohol level higher than 2,2‰ or 0,22% or a BAC level of 0,22. At that level, they could barely stand on their feet, after exiting the car.

I like this movie, especially the performances, the music and that great final scene. And the story is very good, I appreciate the different approach on alcoholism but I feel that the message could be a bit confusing at times, right? I'm not sure, I think it's a good movie but I don't know if it's as amazing as most people say.

Feel like the message is one of neutrality, which is that alcohol can be as much of a detriment as it is a blessing. Using it to fill holes in your life only serves to make you more sad, while using it in a celebratory context as it should be can only enhance life.

It's a message that really resonates you with you the older you get. It's a message about the futility of trying to recapture your youth, the futility of trying to patch huge problems with substances, and the beauty in accepting your condition in life.

History is the only interesting subject at school. Math, oh wow, now that's fun... no one ever said. Not even Einstein. Sure, you love doing it right, but it's not like, wow, let's do math! Unless you have such a sad ego that needs external approval to feel you're someone. Geography? Maaaaybe literature, and maybe. If the books are interesting. History is why movies and everything related to media exist. Telling stories and how it happened is awesome. Unless you're completely apathetic and selfish you don't care about anyonelse but you. Then yeah, it's boring.
