This movie made me so furious

Children are like adults in that they can never be fully trusted. They know how to 'play' adults really well and enjoy the sense of power it gives them.

I think this is a very important movie for the current generation and the society we live in. It has brilliantly addressed the issue of false accusation in the most impactful way. Due process is very important guys, one should never accuse someone without any evidence or data.

Slasher and horror films never really scared me. This movie however scared the fuck outta me. It's like real-world scenario what would do if the universe aligned up for this to happen. Mob mentality and justice (or lack there of) without due process is carried out everyday all over the world. Madsen kills it as usual though. Underrated actor.

The last scene tells us that it will never leave his mind.

I tried to finish the movie, but I got so angry that I couldn't! I read the rundown of the movie so I would know how it ends. STILL ANGRY! Unfortunately this happens a lot in real life. Perhaps the child saw too much arguing and tension in her home? Lucas showed affection and acceptance. Sad movie. GREAT review!!!

You already answered the question of why he didn’t move is because you have to face this head on. You move, it will catch up with you eventually. I think the girl lied because she was spurned. She was bitter because of the rejection.

Klara was not lying to ruin Lucas. She felt rejected and confused by the emotions. Then the headmistress asks all these leading questions and jumps to conclusions very unprofessionally. Then the damage has been done. We, the audience, know that Lucas is innocent, we know the series of unfortunate events that lead to the false accusations. The other characters in this movie don't have that context. But imagine if it were your own little girl. What would you believe? It is a small town community. Rumors go fast. And people don't tend to react calm on child abuse (in this case it is falsely accused). Look what happens to child molestors in jails. Maybe there are some innocent ones there too... It shows how hard child molestation cases are. Young children are unreliable witnesses. It is hard to have proof. So, when do you take an accusation serious/believe it and when not? In this case, the headmistress is to blame for taking things out of proportion and informing the parents very fast etc etc. Lucas and Theo are longtime friends, but in the end, most people choose their own children over friendship.

Little girls can have crushes on men that are kind to them, he was a lot of fun Lucas, the rough and tumble with the boys. Boys can gave crushes on much older women to, that's why it's a sacred trust when you are caring for a child. One interesting point was Theocthe father saying to Lucas how his eye twitched when he lied, he knew him well blah de blah then later when he says to Lucas he knows his daughter she would never lie. Did you notice that when Klara lied and lied when being led to lie, she did that wiggle thing with her nose, when she told the truth and everything ok she didn't do it. Good film. There were a number of people in that room at the end when all celebrating Marcus getting the gun, when they show Lucas looking at all of them. Maybe someone from town maybe in the room. BTW Good review you made me laugh I did similar when watching it.

This was "Curb your Enthusiasm" level horrible behavior from all of the adults in this movie!

That child psychologist...I got a feeling he got turned on in a way by asking Klara those questions. Still a great movie about modern cancel culture.

would you keep your kid in school if it you didn't know for sure if the stories were true? I think I wouldn't (if I had kids) but that just makes this movie so much more powerful, especially because we as an audience know Lucas is innocent, movie made me physically sick and to this day it is the only movie that managed this, must watch for everyone!!! but be prepared
