I love watching work on these old locks. In the area I live in, homes are built in the 60's on up. There are few that have mortise locks. Twenty-five miles away in Galveston, it's a different story. Thanks Jason

Hi Jason. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Its good to see the differences in lever locks to the ones here in the UK. We do have 2,3 and5 levers, the ones everyone should use for insurance is as you said 5 lever, BS3621:2007. Is the British Standard. Which has : Drill resistant case. Pick & force resistant Hardened,rollersin bolt to protect against saw and grinder attack. 20mm bolt throw. Ideal for exterior doors. The 3 lever medium level are great for indoor locks. These can seriously range in prices at each level. Which is the same with everything.

love your videos like this, i may have said that before lol, as well as being 5+ levers with false gates mortice locks for external doors are also curtained so you can not see or reach the levers from the key way. from UK

SE Lock and Key although I’ve still got to come across any 7 lever deadbolts I know they are about, like the Chubb 3G117/3G227 but when I do that’s a keeper 👍🏻

Thank you for this video, it should help me out in making keys for the lock that I have. My guess is that making these keys will cost the customer a bit more money than "normal"keys. Do you charge a labor rate plus the key cost?

What “information” are you trying to find? You are aware this video is over two years old and stuff like this gets sent back out to their owners after we provide the service right? If you can’t get what you need from the video then you are out of luck

35:26 Did I hear Windows XP booting somewhere? Not quite as vintage as a Yale bit key mortise lock, but still cool!😊
