In the 60s my brothers & I went to a place to pick blackberries for grandma to make a cobbler. While we were picking a voice in the air started talking to us in a language we never heard before. We looked at each other, dropped our buckets and ran home with my 5 year old brother crying his eyes out. Those 3 buckets are probably still there today because we refused to pick berries again.

Hi there tressa2970 I am in Australia and I was very fortunate to meet online a woman from the Sioux nation and really enjoyed learning about their culture and stories. In some ways she saved my life with her words of encouragement from the Sioux point of view and that was we all got a good wolf and a bad wolf living inside of us, which one will I feed. Not knowing the Cherokee I suppose its the same or simalar because she said lots are common throughout the nations And some words like Aŋpétu wašté yuhá ye I have a ring made by the Navaho and treasure it,

I always enjoy listening to your stories. I appreciate the respect that you show towards the Native American people. The Cherokee were some of my ancestors. The trail of tears was a very dark part of American history, but it should never be forgotten. Unfortunately, many seem to think that the bad parts of history should be forgotten and never mentioned, but if we don't remember the bad, then how can we learn from it and not repeat it? I'm really glad that you are keeping history alive by telling these stories. Thanks for what you do and the effort you put into these videos.

Many thanks, brother Donnie, for keeping these stories alive! I enjoyed this so much! ☺ I remember, as a boy, when they were developing Cheatham Lake, here in my own home area. I saw many Native American graves being opened, and the bones being moved, but as you say, many more were undoubtedly covered forever by the water. 😢 I wish you and yours Shabbat Shalom and a blessed weekend, my brother. I love hearing the stories of our Ancestors. My mom was a little more than half Cherokee. My Dad was just under a half Blackfoot. I love in the Country and hear a lot of different things. There is a mother black bear and her cubs that reside in our woods. She lets me know if I get to close. She don't bother my husband and I and our little dog. She watches us but knows we won't bother them as well. But we do have some others in our woods. They do wood knocks and whoops. I seen one of the younger ones One time. He smiled at me. I got the feeling he was lonely. I could smell a punged smell coming from his way. I looked away for a few seconds and looked back and he was gone. I know they are still around. Every so often the crickets, tree frogs, birds and squirrels all get very quiet. That's when I really feel them out there. Thank you for your stories. I hope to hear more.

Many tribes accepted their existence and did no harm and have no issues with the Big Guy. From what I've been told the Blackfoot are one of those tribes along with the Sioux. They are seen as elder brothers and treated and respected as so and in return the same is given back. Then there are tribes with not so peaceful tales of the Big Guy

Hey Donnie, Happy Friday, and another great one!!! This video makes me wonder what could me around me from the Native American days that doesn’t exist anymore. Not even 10 minutes away from me is the biggest Indian mound in Ohio, the Miamisburg Mound. It’s over 60 feet tall. For all I know, there could’ve been a mound or something else ceremonial in the location of my apartment complex, but nothing remains of it. Going back to the sounds and rock throwing that you’ve heard while fishing at night, that was most likely a Bigfoot. The light that you saw reminds me of the orb that I saw when I was a kid. It looked just like the orb in the video that you showed by the pond last year only mine was blue with a white haze on the edges. I definitely would not want to see what white thing in the middle of the woods at night or see glowing eyes looking back at me. Thanks for another great video, God Bless, and have a great weekend!!!

Mr. Laws, I just recently discovered your channel and I immediately subscribed. Your voice reminds me of my dear Grandfather when he would tell us all stories about the mountains and foothills of North Carolina. You take me back to that time of wonder and leaves me longing for those days of innocence and wonder as we sat around his rocking chair and listened to his stories. I pray your videos continue for as long as I do. They have brought me so much enjoyment. I anxiously await the next one. The wildlife videos, the metal detecting, but especially your stories about the mountains and a way of life that is quickly disappearing. I've never commented on a channel before but yours has definitely touched my heart. Thank you!

Hello Mr. Laws, beautiful scenery. That place reminds me of the Ocoee River. I soully believe that the Cherokee never truly left. In fact, any of the tribes truly left. Their spirits will continue to roam. I have quite a few Native friends' and we respect & help each other.

Thank you Mr. Laws! Keep em coming! I love going to my KZfaq and seeing you put up something new. It means I won't watch network TV and I end up happier. I say "shotgun shell baby!" when I find something or other around the house I been looking for. Your stories are a staple in my home and we adore you. You could do a video about a barbed wire fence and I would be glad to watch it. As a bird watcher, I used to get way too aggravated by the squirrels always raiding my feeders no matter what type of so called squirrel proof feeder I could buy, it was nothing to them to hang upside down and devour my bird seed. The squirrels used to gripe my soul so bad I would take after them with a garden hose. But since watching As the Ridge Turns, I am at peace with the squirrels in my yard now. They are just trying to survive. I leave them be. And now, It's Time for the Squirrels..... Can't wait for your next video, we love you Mr. Laws!

Just found your channel and love the stuff ! I live below Viking mountain right up against the Cherokee national forest . As some one who has spends all of my time hunting and being outdoors . I will agree there are definitely things in these mountains that don’t want to be found . If you have never gone deep in these mountains away from the beaten paths you just can’t imagine how rugged and secretive these old mountains are

Mr. Donnie, you have the BEST stories - real lights-out kind of stories, which I just love; especially the Native ones, being that I'm partially of Cherokee blood. I do believe their spirits haunt those woods, just too many accounts by credible people. The activity you detailed in the beginning certainly sounds like sasquatch. I'd bet my last cent on it. I know for sure they are in there, always watching us. Always. But when they don't want you around, or they want to make themselves known, these are some of the telltale behaviors they engage in. I always say: "predators don't make themselves known." But it's usually best just to either move on, or speak out loud to them and let them know what you're doing (feeding your family, etc.). After that, they will normally leave you in peace. And always leave some fishes for them, too. Great story. Thank you for your time.
