I dislike Geeta. She clearly has no experience at fighting, and she is so dumb to go in to the zombie zone to get the money.

I watched this with headphones on and a very distinct "clunk" sound can be heard as Scott sweeps a few with his rifle (there wouldn't be such a sound against a body. This sounded like metal hitting metal) plus, I filmed the part where Guzman shot the one in slow motion on my phone, (to show a friend how ridiculous this movie was) and the scene was already in slow motion. Sparks flew off that zombie. It had mechanical parts in its neck as well. It was a robot 100% positive.

The point is... they were sent to be killed... Tanaka sent martin with the team because he wanted blood of one of those alphas so to create more of them by handing it over to government and tanaka would higher sum for it... Tanaka knew they will not make out alive... The entire team was pawned by martin... it's the scene like your teammates turn on you to let you suffer and you're in a hodgepodge how to escape it, you first need to get out of the bad situation and than retaliate against the traitor... Tanaka took advantage of each of their circumstances and self-interest, showed them greed of money, brought them together just to fulfill his purpose of getting the blood of one of those alphas, which obviously wasn't disclosed until martin confessed it... Also the team had their own differences and discords, brought together on temporary basis...

Chambers was amazing I wish she had more screen time!

That’s typical Snyder though lol Set stuff up, never pay it off. I wanted to love this but every time I saw something interesting it was just another dead end. Plus by the end of the movie there was literally no point to any of it. Idk I still really really enjoyed this movie. Just a little underwhelmed. If all the spin off stuff pays off all the unexplained I’ll definitely love this movie again.

I predicted the ending at the half way Mark. The ending ruined the whole movie for me to be honest. It would have been nice to see Van just living his life with his money but no. Like every other stupid ending out there

I have to say i related far more to the characters from Dawn of the dead. James Gunn is by far the better writer. Hands down. The only part of this movie I loved was the zombie tiger. Kudo's to the animators who did an amazing job.

The only time the movie drags or rings hollow is when we get the boring dad- daughter scenes. I kept thinking this might go the way of the Godzilla movie a few yrs ago, which was cool for like 10 minutes, and then was marred by a seeming eternity of bad family drama. Thankfully, we were spared that here. In the end, is this a movie I will watch twice? YES.

They lingered on the sign long enough to read it, so when they mentioned it not being in the U.S. anymore like 20 min later, you were supposed to already know something was up with that. You're right, since he didn't care about the money, it would have no effort for him to give them the codes. Since the plot needed them to break in, all it would have taken would have been a single line along the lines of "In the event of a power failure, the combination resets to a random code." Okay it would been clunky exposition but it would have been an explanation.

I liked it because it could explain the time loop theory further. In the beginning of the movie Zeus escapes and he has a very similar haircut to Vanderoh. Then Vanderoh and Dieter talk about time loops and all that shit. Now Vanderoh is the new patient 0. And it makes a sort of sense when you realize that scientists have long theorized that nuclear reactions hold the key to time travel/manipulation.

I actually rewound this part. You can see her hair next to a clear shot of Peters dead, but you don't get a clear view of her at all. Basically the last time you see Geeta at all is her staring gape jawed at the nuke flying into Vegas. My guess is they just decided the actress didn't need to be there for that scene and didn't want to spend the money to CGI her in like Tig Notaro.

All but the opening montage zombies in the crown are real people. This film has more practical effects than any of the zombie films from the 70s and 80s due to its budget.

I think Zack already confirmed there were actual robots, and that they will explain eveythibg about the origins of the zombies on an animated series that will come out in the future

The blue seemed to mean they were alpha. The baby glowed blue before it dissipated. It is likely due to the whole alien connections in the very beginning of the movie, what with the UFOs in the one scene. Likely a substance/or by product of experimentation

@@loandbehold650 Yeah, but the one he killed in the casino blew sparks and exposed a silver jaw and eye socket. None of the others did anything like that when their heads were blown open. That one definitely looked like a robot.

Kinda hard to top Train to Busan.

I dunno if that's an apt comparison. TTB is like a serious zombie movie, while this one's campy so I'd personally compare it to shawn of the dead (which SotD is stil the best campy zombie film)

In the beginning credits it shows his college graduation photo with his parents...so yeah I would think this too
