I finished Day 4 and am glad that I stuck with it. I am not expecting miracles after needing a walking stick for 3 years but I am convinced that these balancing and strengthening exercises are exactly what I need. I am now signing up for your Adventures for Life Programm, if anyone can help me, and I have tried, than it is you. Thank you so much.

I finally made it to Day4!!!! I have been doing these excercises for about 2 months as they are short (I can do 2 days on my lunch or break them up when my knees are not feeling so good). I started doing these excercises with SEVERE pain in both knees and I could barely walk the pan was so intense. I am SO VERY HAPPY to say that after the first month the pain went from an 8 to almost non existant on most days. I did skip 2 weeks and the pain stated to come back so I'm continuing on :-). It's raining today so one of my knees was very stiff and painful when I woke up but after doing one day 4 it's getting the movement back. I did purchase the 10 day program and I finally feel confident that I can now start that program. I just wanted to thank you for giving me my life back!

Hi Alyssa, Finished this # 4 video and really appreciate you doing them. I DO feel better in my knees and stronger. At this time I am on a very fixed income and dealing with some co-pays from several medical issues my husband had this year so not able to eke out the $ for the "blueprint" right now. I DO realize your knowledge and expertise is totally worth way more that what you are asking and I will try to afford it as his things are done. Meanwhile, know that you are encouraging to we folks who feel the time for doing the things they used to love is over. I just don't want surgery at all and yet was feeling stuck with a way more limited life than I had in my 36 years of teaching Kindergarten.. Thank you for sharing so much. Until then, I will continue to repeat the challenges to maintain the gains I've made.

My arthritis is kicking my butt. I'm in a rut where my pain is really bad and the pain is winning. It is such a battle and I'm not trying to sound like a downer, but I'm 53 and really hurting between my osteoarthritis and fibro. Really takes it out of me. Love your positive attitude though. Thanks for your videos.

Other than weights is there other equipment we need for the workouts? I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate these workouts. I wish there wasn’t quite so much echo in the audio because I have difficulty hearing you even with headphones. I haven’t had hope that anything would improve for years.

It depends on your particular situation. These videos are made for the general informational purposes and your experience might be different. If something is very painful, that's your body telling you something is wrong.

Really liked the 4 day challenge. My question is whether your total program is suitable for someone age 72 with osteoporosis in hips and osteopenia in forearms. Thankfully spine is good. Also bone on bone arthritis in knees bordering on surgery.

I do! The workouts in the Arthritis Adventure Blueprint are similar to these but do progress further with difficulty as your body gets stronger! Strength training and preparing your body for higher impact exercises for bone strength is imperative when dealing with osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. If you loved these, you’ll love the program. www.arthritisadventure.com

@arthritisadventure
@arthritisadventure Жыл бұрын
Building strength is incredibly important if you’ve had a knee replacement. Building muscle support can help you to move better and feel stronger to get back to activities like stairs, walking hills, etc.

I do like these video's. I have been able to do them without too much difficulty or pain. My main problem is I can do workouts, squats, even jumping jacks etc. but when I just go for a walk I am still limping as my arthritis is in the Lisfranc joint. I am normally (or was before my fall where I broke my cuboid) very athletic, i.e. skiing (downhill and crosscontry) hiking, swimming, ice-skating etc. I am confused because doctors say to wear shoes that have a more rigid sole but then how do you get those foot joints moving in a rigid shoe?, i.e. what is the difference with using a walking boot?

I've done Day 1-3 and on Day 4 now. Is it ok to continue doing an exercise, for example standing up from a chair with one leg a bit forward than the other, even if my left knee hurts? Or should I modify, or skip that particular exercise altogether? On my question re stomping the feet, you responded that I reduce the stomping and see if the pain goes away. I guess the bigger question is, should one continue an exercise movement even if it hurts because the pain will eventually go away?
@arthritisadventure
@arthritisadventure Жыл бұрын
A rule of thumb is most movements are okay to continue only if it causes some discomfort (pain less than 5 out of 10). If it causes pain higher than that- modifications may be needed.

@arthritisadventure

I would say it’s a little more progressive than the GLAD program as it includes more strength and standing movements and also addresses other aspects of inflammation aside from movement too which is very important ✅
