How casual you are about ingredient choice is much more like reality, and the flexibility of it means you can use whatever you have around or left over, so much less waste! I've tried making some of the dishes you make and they really are *delicious* as well. What more do I need? 😊

For the first one, try changing the ratio and using more like 100ml of water. Also try adding a tablespoon of oil to the mix. And ALSO allow the whole thing to fry for a bit with the lid off after the water has evaporated.

There’s a youtube channel called World of Dave and in one of the videos, Dave invited some Korean friends to let them ask whatever questions they have about USA culture. At one point, one of the Koreans spoke a bit of English and Dave noticed that his voice was a bit higher. He pointed this out to them and added that he notices this happen to every Korean. They explained that it might be because that when they were younger (around Elementary school age), the only English shows they watched were for children (so the voices were high). So how they learned English was mimicking what they watched and listened to at that time, including the higher-pitched voice. Then the Korean friend said he’ll try speaking English again but with his normal voice, but he couldn’t get very far cause he said it was way too weird. Just giving a bit of insight.

An idea for getting the edges more golden brown in the first recipe! Once the first recipe is done, add a little more oil around the pan and let it fry for one more minute uncovered. Also! If you’d like it to be more like a combo scallion pancake with dumplings: add more green onion, but add them to the flour/water mixture before pouring it over the dumplings. 🥟

Maybe for the first dumplings, arrange them in a fan or flower petal design. It will be prettier, I guarantee it. Try it again! Add the flour/water mixture a little sooner so it gets golden brown and the dumplings do not get too brown. 😀👍🏽
